Chapter 87: The First Day and The First Match

Brought face to face with each other, both Shun and Akito finally met each other's gaze as both of them analyzed each other

Finally with a chuckle, Akito broke the ice for the both of them

"Sorry about that! By the way my name is Akito and your supposed to be Shun right?" He asked

"Huh? Well... Yeah!" Answered Shun

"And based on your last name your Japanese right?"

Hearing that Shun slowly nodded causing Akito to sigh in relief

"Finally, I though I was the only one ordinary in this world"

"Excuse me?" Asked Shun

Sensing the gaze from Shun Akito immediately fixed his posture as he said

"Ah! Right! Sorry if I offended you in some ways, it's just that most people whom I encountered that is another world is either weird guy who liked fantasy too much or a guy who aims to Bea hero and have a harem just like in those shows hehe!" Laughed Akito

Hearing that comment Shun just smiled wryly at him as he made a comment on his head

'Sorry to break to you pal, but I'm one of them... I like fantasy too except the harem part and hero'

With that in mind Shun couldn't help but laugh dryly

"Well anyway I'm glad I met another otherworlder like you, what's more is that your Japanese like me... Can you tell me how long have you been in this world?" Asked Akito as he held out his hand

After shaking his hand Shun slowly shook off his feeling as he answered

"Almost a year actually, how about you?"

"... A year and a half, I lived as a butler for some Baron in my place as well being as her knight" answered Akito

"Well I'm a tutor and an adventurer of some Duke's daughter" said Shun

Hearing that Akito then perked up

"So we're both have a background of being supported by a nobility"

"Guess so"

After that initial greeting Akito walked over a waiter and took two glass of wine glass and handed the other one to Shun

Of course Shun thanked him for that

"Life here is quite hard, I started my life here when I first got here as a wanderer" said Akito

"Well I started my life being an adventurer since I needed money to live life in this world, by the way you said your a Knight for some nobility... Does that mean you use a sword to fight?" Asked Shun

"Well naturally! But im not using that long sword for knights thingy but else I'm using my family's sword that I brought with me" said Akito

"Which is...?"

As they talked deeper into their encounters along their life Shun then gave it a push as he wanted to know the depths of Akito's strength

"Tell me... I bet you have a lot of experiences in battle and I dare not to underestimate you, is there anyone else that your wary of in this room? Except of course for me"

Hearing that Akito firstly looked confused as he soon regained his thought and started looking around

"If I say... I think other than you, maybe the Lorius Ejinto guy from Ascalon Academy" answered Akito

"Huh? Why?" Asked Shun

"I don't know, it's just that all my senses ring danger around him, I bet he's trying to lay low and become a low profiled person but elsewhere my sense doesn't lie to me so I trust them very much" answered Akito

After that both Shun and Akito goes deeper into discussion as both of them spent most of the party time just talking to each other

Soon after the party ended by the king's order as he greeted the start of the tournament for the six academies

When the time when they were going back to their lodging came Shun told Rosalyn everything that he learned from hearsay such as the person that they should be wary of

Of course as a smart person Rosalyn took notice of this and started to think of a way to deal with it

With that the night led on as each returned to their room tired from the whole day and rested well, except of course for Shun who never forgets to go first to the special room of his consciousness as he activated the white room where he will have to fight against champions to gain proficiency on their skill

With his current skills of course he managed to overwhelm Teemo on his own thus was able to defeat him for the very first time causing his profiency in Teemo's skill to rise to 25%

With this he expected that the next time he face Teemo would be a much harder training

Next up after facing Teemo, he of course goes back to fighting against Zed together with Yasuo as hard as he can

But in the end he was left on the ground cold as he got defeated for the second time in one night by these two champions as he got overwhelmed by their mastery in their techniques

After that of course Shun decided to call the day and head to bed at exactly 12 in the midnight

By the next day the four of them headed straight for the venue where the matches will be held

As they got there the other three except for Shun got overwhelmed by the size of the arena which was the same size of the field in every Olympics games

From his spot he could see different students from different academies swarming the place as they headed to any empty seats

Of course such arena can accommodate atleast people up to 2500 crowd

Not only students but some nobility from local to foreign were also here and since this is like a national event other kingdoms also dare to come here and look at the future great individuals of the kingdom

Mostly some of them were scouting for potentials and planned to scoop them up using ways that they only know

As Shun observed everywhere in the arena, he didn't even notice that Rosalyn and the other two had left him behind as they headed straight for the center and first row seats in this section reserved for them

Of course as he stands idly some students also somehow got blocked on the way

"Uhm! can you move aside? You don't have to gaze that way here after all it's just an arena, so can you let us through?"

Hearing that Shun subconsciously moved aside letting some group of girls and boys to walked pass through him as they all eyed him with both disdain and looked down

"Are you new here? It's not right for someone to stand in everyone's way you know, after all we all wanted to see the fights here" said the same girl that talked to her

"I see"

Seeing his unrespectful response, the girl then came up to her own conclusion

"You must be a commoner, you don't even know me nor know my status"

"....."

With what she said some guy who is also a noble spoke up

"Don't mind him, he's not worth our time... We just need to focus on the battles that will see us later"

After that the grill shooed Shun away

"Go on! Go to the commoners area! Since we're all waiting for every geniuses of the academies to show their skills here"

"I see" replied Shun weakly with a lot of confusion on the development here

Not wanting to linger any longer Shun then headed down bypassing the commoners area and toward the seat reserved for the representatives of different academies which is equivalent to almost as a royal guests

"Where have you been?" Asked Rosalyn in a slight anger

"I... Forget it" said Shun as he waved his hand to dismiss his thought

After that he glanced towards the students that was clearly in a different academy than his and smirked before sitting down

Of course those students clearly saw Shun walked down the representative area and sorted beside the representatives causing them to realized that he was part of the geniuses that they looked up to

This of course caused all of them to be so shock that they were left speechless

Not long after more students came in to fill up the arena and soon after a familiar voice reached his ears

"Shun!!!"

Looking back at the crowd behind him who were busy finding a seat, he soon saw a group of students came down the stairs as they sorted just right behind them

"Shun! I hope you have a lot of explanation to do" said Sephiria as she stared down at Shun while smiling

Seeing that Shun became even more confused

"What are you talking about?"

Hearing that made Sephiria pout this causing her let go of asking directly and let actions do the talking since she knew that once Shun said that, it would be hard to remind him

Sitting behind his seat, Sephiria then leaned closer as she said

"I just hope that my speculations are wrong okay?"

Of course Shun was baffled

"What speculations?"

Hearing that Sephiria just smiled at him as she pat's his head giving space for Aria to talk

"Well anyway after we investigated something trivial we found out that were just overreacting at that time so sorry about that"

In response to that Shun just couldn't comprehend what they were saying

"Huh?"

Then soon Cedric, Wendy, and Rachel gave their own greetings

"I guess you've met my family" said Cedric

"Well yeah!" Answered Shun

"How were they?" Asked Wendy

"Eccentric" said Shun

"Aren't you the eccentric one?" Asked Rachel

"... I got no words for that"

With that flow they talked to each other causing the atmosphere around them to be least pressuring

Soon after the other three joined in as they talked with Cedric and to the others as well

Of course soon the capture target that Wendy previously captured came later causing the group to grew bigger as they talked

During their conversation everyone slowly established a connection with each other causing the big group to talked normally like a huge group of friends

Soon after as the whole arena got filled with viewers and attendees, the king of the country King Hendrick soon gave the opening speech as every representative has to stand up for this part of the opening

After that the anthem from different academy played out followed by other cheering squads performing live

After careful observation Shun couldn't help but feel that this tournament really did felt like an olympics with all of these openings and all

Soon after the six principal's from different academies have their speech of encouragement

After that many mages with high class level poured out their Mana towards an ancient artifact causing the whole fighting area to be covered a field that is unbreakable even if 20 nuclear bombs drop on them

Soon after the roll for the matches started as they announced the very first match of the day

With that matchup, it gave leeway for Shun to finally observe the very same person that made Akito be wary of

Walking down the stairs leading to the arena the person named Lorius seemed calm and open as he leaned back, hands on his pockets, opened shirt, and chin up as if he expects that he would win instantly

On the other side a guy named Patrick walked down as he walked with authority, chin down, and a serious gaze despite the glasses

With these setup one could say that this Patrick guy clearly was wary of Lorius, soon after the worry that Shun has finally proved itself as true

With the start of the match Patrick immediately caused a quake using quick spell, causing Lorius to kneel unto the ground to steady himself which also caused him to delay his own spell

After that Patrick built up a giant earthen wall as he punctured hole in it and shoot off rock common blast

"Quake! Earthen wall! Rock loose cannon!"

With this mix-up Patrick showed what true fortress looks like

Face with this instead of being serious, Lorius simply snapped his fingers causing numerous magic shields to appear blocking all cannon attacks

"Absolum defensus!"

After that he slowly gathered Mana unto his feet causing his stance to steady inspite of the quake as he pointed his finger towards the direction of the wall

With a smile he casted a spell

"Cerolinica!"

As Mana converge on the tip of his finger, it soon became so thick that such Mana turned red in an instant as it fired off in a blast equivalent to a gigantic railgun being fired out

With a loud boom the streak of laser soon shoots out from his finger tip towards the wall causing the whole section where the other contestant is to instantly blew up

This major attack of course cause too much damage that Patrick barely made a barrier to protect himself, but in the end due to it's superior power his defenses wasn't enough to fully defend himself

With one spell attack Patrick a genius of Horoscious Academy, one of the representatives was easily knocked out by the representative of Ascalon Academy with an overwhelming advantage

due to that display of overwhelming power all people became silent including all kingdoms representative as the gaped at such destructive power of one of the countries student

Akito held his katana tighter, Goran gulped his saliva, Rosalyn was speechless as streak of sweat coursed through her face and Cedric was shocked by that magic with weird wordings

Only one word came out of his mouth causing everyone near him to be shocked
