Chapter 237: The Second Power Ventus Mark II

'Previous Wielder', basically Lorius is talking about the person who previously had the Ventus mark, right before he even acquired the mark for himself. Additionally both Shun and Akito knew that the wielders of the 4 powers is no joke at all, one primary example is the culprit back in the kingdom of Avalon's terror event.

In that moment as the Ventus mark was kept out for everyone to see, another notification sprout out from Shun's system as he realized that the system itself had begun absorbing the excess energy coming out from the mark itself.

Upon seeing this, Shun's eyes widened in shock as he begun to think of a way for Lorius to continue in exposing the power near him. As long as the power was exposed long enough for him to see, the system itself would be able to absorb the lingering energy, without even consorting to fighting against Lorius. To be exact Shun has no plan to fight against Lorius at all, there was just no benefit for him in doing so.

He knew just how strong Lorius is and if Lorius were to go all out together with the Ventus mark, then Shun himself wouldn't even stand a chance against him at all.

"You seemed quite attracted to this kind of power Shun" said by Lorius after noticing him gazing intently towards the Ventus mark

"Huh? Oh! Im sorry about that, it's just that no matter how many times i witness such power, i couldn't help but get enamored by it" reasoned out by Shun

"he's always like this, he is also like this when he gazed upon the Aquasphere back at the foreign country... maybe because he has a unique magic, but for some reason i feel like he really is attracted towards such power" Added by Akito as he got accustomed for Shun acting this way

"Is that so? Well i don't mind if you guys take this power from me, after all i'm already strong as it is without it" declared by Lorius

Hearing Lorius words, both Shun and Akito couldn't help but be astounded by former's arrogance and boastfulness. But despite that initial reaction, both of them can't even refute what Lorius had said, after all such a thing was already a well known fact in between the three of them. 

Lorius is already strong enough with his ancient magic, and adding the the Ventus mark on one of his power-up cards was just an overkill. But before the both of them could clear up their minds, Lorius then added another fact as he presented the mark right before them.

"However i cant just give this power to you guys, the only way for the either both of you to get this from me is by fighting me once more and prove your worth... after all i did beat its previous host, so its only fair if both of you guys adhere to it"

The moment they heard what Lorius had said, Shun then begun weighing his options as he hesitate whether fighting against Lorius was the only answer for him to continue having his system absorb the energy of the Ventus mark. While Shun was in a dilemma, Akito on the other hand seemed un interested as he crossed his arms and proclaimed his position in this matter.

"I don't care about any of that, you can have that power"

"!!!!"

"My only power and strength is my sword, meaning all those fantasy stuff like magic and shit, don't matter to me... Since i was born with the sword, then through all problems, i will deal with it on my own" declared by Akito which Lorius couldn't help but applaud to

"Well i do commend that, but don't you think that you have some kind of a limit if you only pursue that? I mean i know that you care so much for your swordsmanship to the point, you actually honed it to such level, but there is a limit to everything and that includes your sword techniques.... in fact your sword techniques showed such destructive power due to implementation of magic right, meaning from the very start your techniques itself isn't just pure physical"

"....."

"I'm not telling you to change your way of fighting, i'm just telling you to improve it by applying other factors in it" said by Lorius

"I know that, that is why i'm currently making new techniques which would cover my flaws"

"But that will only limit your growth and improvement, you need to add something new to it to further expand your growth... just take my advice"

Hearing the advice, Akito then nodded silently as he too realized the limit of the path that he is currently walking down to. IF he wanted to get stronger, then he would need to evolve his swordsmanship which just doesn't revolve around footwork's, and physical strength. In that stance, he has no choice but to apply a foreign element into his sword to further enhance his growth.

As Akito took it all in, without giving a clear reply, Shun on the other hand stared back towards Lorius as he then suggested something towards the latter.

"Hey! i want to measure up just how strong that thing is, can we have ... you know, a simple spar?"

"Spar right now? I don't think i can do that"

"Huh? why?"

"Well for starters you are not in your tip top shape, your mind is already fatigue from this event alone.... plus this is a night of celebration, we will have our time to fight again"

After saying that, Lorius withdraw the Ventus mark which notified Shun that his absorption had come to a pause. The moment he was notified, Shun then begun o panic internally as he asked what Lorius meant, no matter he needed Lorius to bring out the Ventus mark once more in order for his system to do its thing.

"What? what do you mean?"

"Well i mean is that we will have our chance to fight again at the end of the year exam which would decide the graduation grade for the graduating students"

"End of the year exam? but that's like half a year away"

"Don't worry, time pass by so fast, you wouldn't even notice that you'll graduate soon too.... by that point i'm going to go all out from the very beginning so i hope both of you guys to be fully prepared... since i know that both of you are strong, then there is no reason for me to hold back"

With that Lorius returned back to the closing party as he enjoyed the time with everyone who was involved in the event. Due to that Both Shun and Akito were astounded for each of its different reason as they thought one thing.
