Chapter 230: The First Convention V

[Gritonnia Academy]

The moment Shun entered the room, King Hendrick then called upon him as he raised his hand and indicate him to stand next to him. Alongside the King's motion, Queen Annabeth together with Prince Roland and Princess Ivory greeted him heartily as they somewhat have a positive image towards Shun after his accomplishment in the tournament last school year and the events that happened in the foreign country.

"This event is kind of fun, it truly is a marvel to behold... what do you call this again?" asked by King Hendrick

"It is a convention your majesty" replied by Shun respectfully

"A convention... i have attended a lot of conventions in the past, but nothing like this... if i have to compare i think the conventions i have attended pale in comparison to this event itself... but i can already guess the reason why"

"Indeed! as you predicted your majesty! This convention aims to garner attention from people of all types of classes without prejudice... due to that we have a huge amount of attendees"

"... Huge amount, yes... that is quite a detrimental... it may look grandiose at first due to how many attended the event, but if not properly managed as it is, it will lead to unsatisfactory result... you did well hanging on to the management of this event"

"Well i had a little help from a force outside the academy"

Hearing that, King Hendrick then looked below the crowd who cheered at the performance in the stage provided as the king himself saw some people wearing outfits out of norm in this current era. Upon seeing this, he then looked back towards Shun as he proceeded to ask.

"But it looks like the event and activities isn't the highlight of this convention"

"Your right! your majesty! As you can see, there are people among the crowd who wears unique outfits that doesn't compliment the current era and trend for fashion.... these are called cosplay"

"Cosplay, a portmanteau of "costume play", is an activity and performance art in which participants called cosplayers wear costumes and fashion accessories to represent a specific character. Cosplayers often interact to create a subculture, and a broader use of the term "cosplay" applies to any costumed role-playing in venues apart from the stage. Any entity that lends itself to dramatic interpretation may be taken up as a subject"

After hearing Shon's explanation regarding the term cosplay, King Hendrick then turned his head towards Sephiria's outfit as he then point it out towards Shun.

"What about the outfit that the duke's daughter is wearing? does it have a story as well?"

The moment the king asked this question, Queen Annabeth together with Princess Ivory and Prince Roland, then turned their head towards  Shun as they expect the answer that he will give. Apparently not only the nobles and commoners were enamored by Sephiria's battle dress, but also the royal family itself.

As already said before, the design of the dress may look simple at first, but such dress literally showcase the beauty of its wearer. Not only that but it even exudes respect, dignity, braveness, and anything related to as being a royalty. That is the reason why everybody was attracted towards such dress.

"That battle dress? Yes it has a story too"

In that moment Shun told them a story regarding a certain king of Britain, how it all started and how it all ended.

While this was happening the principal of the academy surprisingly met up with the new professor, professor Nico and somewhat could be seen joining the event as they entered the venue itself. Even thought the venue is a bit crowded, they were still able to easily bypass the crowd as they talked along the way.

In that certain moment Leah who was currently manning the merchandise at the stall near the stadium, unknowingly saw the principal as she tried to get close to the old man and at least try to make a connection. Taking note that she is a merchant, whom Shun had saved back in Ruric town, as a merchant she is inclined to make as many connection she needs to any prominent people in the society.

Due to that she had somewhat a strong connection towards Shun in terms of business and somewhat manage to ride the wave of the latter's fame along the way. Never in her life did she expect to gain this much authority inside the merchant guild.

Due to his connection with Shun and the fact that she is Shun's personal merchant that he always get close to whenever there is transaction to be made, her reputation naturally rose as the coattail she is riding is somewhat also seemingly close to the royal family. She believe that as long as she stick close to Shun, she would gain an unimaginable wealth in return of making a connection towards such person early on/

Unfortunately due to the crowd gathering in front of her stall, she couldn't manage to get close towards the principal as she somewhat lost sight of the old man which made her quite teary.

In that moment someone then  split the crowd using brute force as he squeezed in together with its acquaintance. The moment this happened, Leah then looked towards the person who splits the crowd as she recognized the person who came to her stall.

"Your!"

The person who appeared before her is none other than Lorius Ejinto together with his friends Mario Sith, Cynthia Fraum, and Rekka Loine, the same group of people who appeared as the representative of Ascalon academy back in the six academies tournament. With such figure suddenly appearing before them, many people who recognized Lorius immediately flocked around him as some of them literally look up to his strength.

Even thought Shun won the six academy tournament last school year, it literally took him and Akito from Orbium Academy to take down Lorius who exuded and showcased a power so destructive enough and comparable to the strong mages in the world. The battle that was showcased was quite close to be exact.

Because of the situation of 2v1, even though Shun won, Lorius was able to take the top of the popularity ranking due to his strength alone that needed 2 aces to work together just to bring him down.

Lorius popularity is unquestionable, but one thing that kept Leah bothered was that Ascalon academy was quite a far place from Gritonnia academy, so why would someone as popular as Lorius personally head over to a far academy at this time of the day. Putting this in mind, Leah then begun observing Lorius much closely to discern his purpose of visit.
