[Outskirts of the Kingdom, Near the border]
In a loud explosion comparable to a roar of a dragon, Shun had literally obliterated a large chunk of section of the surface ground of the mountain in just one skill attack. In that one attack, half of Daniel's body was literally blown to smithereens as he barely dodged the roar to save his life. If he weren't fast enough to react at that moment, he was sure that he would literally be incinerated permanently, without any way to revive himself.
After getting half of his body blown away, Daniel then plop to the ground as his innards and blood started to pour out from his missing body parts. But even though he could fully restore his body overtime, he wasn't invulnerable to pain. Thus in that few short seconds before his brains stops functioning, he then felt the pain of having half of his body blown away as he ached in despair before finally turning quiet.
While Daniel's corpse lay down there, Shun on the other hand drank a mouthful of mana potion from his system storage as he restore back his used up mana from dealing with Daniel. However since he wasn't able to completely obliterate his whole body, he was sure that it wouldn't be long till that very person himself to resurrect back in full health. Thus after taking one battle of mana potion in a single drink, Shun then quickly rushed up towards the corpse as he plans to put an end to the cycle of resurrections.
Brandishing his lichbane on both of his hands, Shun then dashed towards the corpse as he unleashed another skill which could literally incinerate the body as a whole.
"Flame Brea-"
But before he could cast out that skill, a huge surge of red mana suddenly flowed towards the corpse causing Shun to be blown away by the first shockwave it produced. Due to the shockwave his skill was immediately cancelled upon activation, as he crashed on the ground back first.
Upon seeing the red mana gathering towards the corpse, Shun was sure that he failed to end the cycle of resurrection of the enemy. In that moment he felt bitter from moving so slow, however he couldn't help it at all. After all due to his initial attack, his huge mana pool was literally drained thus giving him a hard time to even take a step forward. If he wanted to move his whole body according to his will, he has no choice but to intake a quick mana recovery potion to restore his mana and stamina.
While Daniel's resurrection was still on going, Shun quickly got up from his feet as he plans to use Aurelion sol's attack once more and this time he will make sure that he wont miss a single cell from his target. As Shun gathers his own insurmountable surge of mana towards his mouth, Daniels missing body parts soon regenerated fully as his body restored his heart beat , and fully recovering him from his previous damage.
Soon enough in the amidst of his resurrection, Daniel himself then laughed out loud as he mocked Shun's previous attempt to completely destroy him.
"Gahahahahaha! Its not enough! Your attack wasn't enough to completely kill me! What a waste of effort!"
As his body got fully restored, he then saw Shun in the middle of his mana gathering, causing him to smirk evilly as he came forward and initiated a pose which he can struck out a fist towards his target. After all his great sword was obliterated from Shun's previous attack, thus he has no choice but use whatever he currently has for his own offense.
Naturally due to the fact that Shun can't cancel his nearly complete skill at that moment, he then had no choice but to grit his teeth as he prepares himself to get hit by his opponents attack. In exchange for that he obviously planned to counter back with his skill in a point blank range the moment he got struck by his opponent's fist. As for whatever happens after hit, he had no choice but to endure.
Unfortunately as if destroying everything that they were expecting, a series of spell barrage suddenly descended before Daniel, as it literary blew everything away and causing numerous explosion to rung out in its surroundings. Just by its force alone by the spells that descended unto one of the cult's important member, it was literally enough to turn everything upside down as it blew Shun away once more, causing him to cancel his skill once again.
This time however the perpetrator of such spells didn't originated from the enemy sides, but rather from the allied forces side, under the guidance of Captain Kalego.
When Captain Kalego landed beside Shun, he then took ahold of his nape as he threw him away from his opponent, before giving him a direct order.
"We don't have time to spend on dealing with unimportant people, the longer we dilly dally with the cult members, the more of the enemy's side be able to comprehend the power of the Aquasphere... we need to retrieve the Aquasphere from the enemy, leave the small fries to us" ordered Captain Kalego
With those words alone, Shun once more got reminded of the direness of the situation as he fully understood and followed the Captain of the Elite force orders.
In fact aside from the initial plan to have the important members of the Diabolos cult evacuate the kingdom by escaping towards another country, the cult member fighting off against the ki8ngdom's army is actually stalling for time as they let one of their important figures in the cult to fully comprehend the Aquasphere.
After all the moment the comprehension of the Aquasphere was more thorough, that particular figure would be able to exert a much more formidable power in far comparison to what it showed from its initial acquisition back on the kingdom's capital.
With that in mind, Daniel quickly rushes out of the smoke from the bombardment of the spell as he plans to drag Shun back from his range, after all he couldn't let someone as strong as Shun away from his sights.
Truth to be told he was quite wary of Shun to the point that he needed to kill such person at the early stages of the battle before it could reach the leader of the cult. After all normally he should have been in a killing spree of the kingdom's unit, without anyone able to stop him. Since he has the ability to resurrect as long as he had a single foundation to rely on, he has literally no fear of death whatsoever.
His plan was very thorough as he plans to abuse his resurrection to fully decimate the kingdom's army, knowing that he cant be killed. Unfortunately Shun's presence completely ruined his plan to exploit his ability. In fact he didn't expect to be killed numerous times by a single opponent, not even letting him rampage more.
If Shun was able to overpower him every possible moment that he resurrect, then his strength alone was formidable enough to the point that it could threaten their cult's existence.
If he wanted to help the cult in achieving their goal, then he has no choice but to force such a dangerous opponent to stay occupied to himself. Unfortunately that idea didn't go well the moment Captain Kalego, blocked is path once more with a barrage of spells heading towards him.
In that moment he knew, he had literally lost the aggro on Shun.
