(AN: First of all I'm sorry if I delayed the beach chapter. This chapter will mostly be about his memories of his past)

Kazuya soon arrived just before dinner. He started preparing dinner. He cut up some bear meat and prepared it carefully as it has a strong smell.

After which they had a happy dinner with the whole family. They chatted and laughed while they ate. Kazuya watched this scene while smiling but hidden behind that smile is sadness but no one knew of it.

On top of the roof of the house lay Kazuya. He went there to gaze at the sky full of stars. The dinner was done already and the others went to do their respective activities.

While gazing at the stars in the sky, he couldn't help but remember his previous life before transmigrating here.

Memory A~

"You're drinking again?!"

"Why do you care if I drink. I can do whatever I want!"

Inside a house, two angry voices were heard quarreling. They are two people, one is a woman and the other is a man.

While the two were quarreling they didn't notice a kid watching them from a corner. The kid watched as his parents quarreled.

After half an hour of scolding each other, the two stopped fighting. The woman angrily left the scene and saw the kid but ignored him after.

Memory B~

Years passed since then, the kid also grew up. He was now in high school.

"What is with these grades?! They are so low, you barely passed. You are a disgrace"

"You're so useless, your only job is to study and you still failed with that?! I shouldn't have given birth to you! We really can't expect anything from you. Look at the son of our neighbor, he easily gets high marks on school unlike you!"

A woman angrily scolded a teen who has his head down. This was the kid previously who watched his parents quarrel.

He got scolded for an hour straight. He took all the insults while crying silently. After the scolding of his mother, he went to his room.

At night when his father came back and knew his grades were so low it barely passed, he got beat up.

"Damn it, you're so useless. You should just die!"

He curled into a ball and took the beating. After he was beaten up he went back to his room again.

He cried there until he slept. The next day he didn't get up as it was Saturday. After waking up, he felt pain all over his body.

"Ugh, it hurts!"

But he endured the pain. He then and sat down on a chair and used his PC beside his bed.

He just watched YouTube for entertainment. But due to that, he discovered anime. Starting that day he started watching anime, and he soon got addicted.

He also discovered manga, LN, CN, etc. With that, he became an otaku. Because he saw anime and other stuff as his only light In his life full darkness.

Then one day, after a day of beating from his father, something happened.

"Sigh* I'm really lucky with this new family of mine. I promise I will protect them from danger." Kazuya sighed ruefully remembering his past before vowing.

"...But I guess it's hard to forget the past huh? But luckily I have people that love me dearly in this life." He muttered to himself.

"What are you doing here?" Just then he heard a voice from behind and saw Kurumi.

He smiled before answering, "I was just reminiscing some memories, don't worry."

She smiled and sat down beside him. "But you look quite down previously, is something bothering you?" She asked in concern.

Kazuya was touched and truly felt happy. "Don't worry, with you all by my side things are gonna be okay" he grinned

Seeing that Kazuya was back to his usual self, Kurumi smiled brightly. She also looked up at the sky and saw the glittering stars.

"What a beautiful sight" She exclaimed.

He nodded, "Right? I like watching the stars at night, it calms me down"

The two gaze at the stars for a bit more before going back to their rooms and sleep.

In front of a house, Kazuya along with his parents, Kurumi, Chizuru, and her Grandparents was putting their luggage inside a van.

Kazuya rented it, so today they will go to the beach. When everything's prepared they too rode the van.

"Hehe, it's been sometime when we last went to the beach right?" Kazuo asked his wife beside him. He was the one who will drive.

"Yes, it's been a few years" Harumi his wife replied.

All of them chatted happily while on the way. And a few hours later, they arrived.

"Beach!"
