Level 2

(AN: I'm not writing his stats to show, as it doesn't really matter. And ignore the BS in this chapter please)

After leaving Tsubaki's house, Kazuya went to the dungeon for some monster killing and to increase his DC. He wants to buy strong attack magic as preparations for his objective of killing Goliath alone.

Slash! Swoosh!

Located inside the dungeon on floor 8, there is a swarm of many monsters. And their opponent was one young man clad in a full black outfit except for his sword.

Grrr! Skree!

Large amounts of goblins and kobolds swarm Kazuya as he continuously slashes the monsters.

There were sometimes adventurers that passed by but as it is taboo to kill the monsters an adventurer fights they didn't kill any of the monsters swarming Kazuya which he was grateful for as he can kill all of the monsters swarming him with ease

And besides, it would be a waste since he can get DC from the monsters. So he continued to kill monsters as his armor got covered in monster blood.

"Huff..." Kazuya let them out a deep breath as he just finished killing all the monsters. They should take a few minutes before spawning again. It has been a few days after his spar with Tsubaki.

"I should go up now" He muttered and quickly collected the magic stones dropped by the monsters.

Then he started his journey up the dungeon. It took him an hour before getting put as he needed to kill monsters along the way.

After he was out, he noticed it was currently still in afternoon. So with haste, he directly went towards the bath in the inn to wash his body.

After he was so he was do e bathing, he started browsing some skill he can buy from the system This skills will show in his status and can be seen by his goddess.

After browsing he found some useful skills. In total he bought off, 2 skills costing a total amount of 1,000 DC.

The skills he got are, one is called Monster Hunter which is basically an upgraded version of the development ability 'Hunter'.

This skill gives him an advantage against monsters. As this skill's effect is, it boosts all his stats when against monsters.

It also gives the user an inherent instinct when monsters are near and it vaguely tells him what the monsters weakness is, although the latter ability is not that accurate it still helps.

Second one is Nature's Blessing, which is a passive buff/support type kind skill. It gives the user a boost in regeneration of mind or magic power, natural healing, and stamina.

And last but not least he got the development ability Master Smith which is the upgraded version of Blacksmith. Coincidentally, Tsubaki is also a master smith.

(AN: Dont know if there is a development ability like that in canon but if there is not, just treat is as an added one by me)

As for magic he bought, that's for later on. And as a side note, he bought a grimoire from the system for Haruhime. It has a magic that can greatly compliment her magic, Uchide no Kozuchi.

And now Kazuya was meeting with Hephaestus in her office. He plans to check if he is ready for level up.

"...So you want to check your status?" She asked

"Yes please"

"Alright go sit there and have your back face me" She pointed at a chair at the side. Kazuya followed her instruction. And after that Hephaestus did the usual process for checking his status.

"What?!" A surprise voice came from Hephaestus. Kazuya wasn't surprised as she probably saw the skills he got along with his magics.

"Did you buy some grimoires?"

"I did bought them" He replied, he didn't say he bought grimoires but directly said he bought them which is true as he bought it directly from the system.

Hephaestus didn't detect any lies, "Alright, I know you have some secrets you can't tell so I will not ask more. But it seems your ready to level up. I'm surprised of your stats are at rank S except agility which is at B rank. Do you want to level up now?" She asked with a hint of surprised in her voice.

After all adventurers level up early and only the elites have stats with B, A or even S in one of their status.

"Yes of course, please have me level up now" He said, it doesn't really matter to him as he can contend with higher levelled adventurer. Of course Hephaestus already knew that as Tsubaki said it herself.

So after some moments, Kazuya now levelled up just after perhaps a week or even less after joining a familia. It was a levelling speed which is so fast.

"And done, you are now officially level two"

"Thank you Hephaestus-sama" Kazuya said gratefully "And if you excuse me, I will leave first"

She waved her hand, "Alright go now, I too still have some work to do"

"Yes" After that Kazuya left her office. While Hephaestus went back to what she was doing. As she work there was a smile on her face for reasons unknown.
