Ambush

(AN: Sorry got no internet connection earlier but I've got it now so heres a chapter)

Swoosh!

In a fast speed, Kazuya arrived at the scene quickly. Without waiting, he attacked the closest Rudra Familia member.

Slash!

"Aahh..!"

He slashed his sword and cut the enemy in half but he didn't die off instantly and screamed in pain. The other noticed Kazuya's arrival due to the scream.

"Kill him!" The man who seems to be the leader of the Rudra Familia ordered, and some men who were surrounding the remaining Astraea Familia members separated and surrounded Kazuya.

"Oh no! Why did you come here?!" One of the Astraea Familia member shouted towards Kazuya, as the familia who is the number one enemy of evil guys. They naturally didn't want some bystanders to get killed because of them.

Kazuya merely smiled and didn't say anything. Then he moved, with his sword at hand, he started attacking the ones who surrounded him.

Of course the men who surrounded him attacked too. Kazuya estimated that the ones who attacked him are mostly level 2 or 3 based on his observations.

He easily dodged some attacks but due to the number of his enemies, he got wounded but luckily not deep ones.

"F*ck you Rudra Familia!" He said before a flame materialized in his left hand which was free. It was the divine fire he got, soon enough the temperature rose quickly.

He put on more magic power and reinforce his body and jumped up wards. With his hand aiming downwards, he controlled the fire to burn the enemies.

Swoosh!

"Aaahhhh!" The fire emblazed the enemies and they started to scream in pain. But it didn't last long as his divine fire is so hot that they burnt for few seconds before becoming ash.

Bam!

Landing down, he directly dashed towards the remaining enemies. Without saying anything, he started slashing the enemies.

Slash! Swish! Swish!

Seeing him easily kill the other enemies, the Rudra Familia got wary of him. While the remaining Astraea Familia members gained a bit of hope but also wary since they didn't know the intentions of the new arrival.

"Kill the rest of Astraea Familia, I'll handle him" Jura Halmer, the captain of the Rudra Familia ordered.

(AN: Not sure if that's true, correct me if It's wrong and I'll fix it)

Swoosh! Clang!

Jura attacked Kazuya with his weapon which is a heavy sword. And their clashing of weapons created a loud sound of metals hitting.

"Tch" Jura clicked his tongue seeing Kazuya easily contends with his strength. After their initial clash he jumped back and checked Kazuya.

'Heh! Do you think I'll stop just because you stopped?!' Kazuya thought before dashing towards Jura, arriving near Jura he slashed down his sword.

Bam! Clang! Crack!

Jura blocked the incoming attack, the force from the attack made the ground below him cracked. But Kazuya didn't stop there, he continued to slash down his swird in swift speed.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

Jura was struggling to block or parry the attacks. Kazuya smirked seeing that, his strength grew again since he levelled up.

If previously he can just contend with level 5 adventurers using his physical strength and reinforcement magic, now that he levelled up to level 2 naturally he could defeat them easily.

Clang! Bam!

And finally after the continuous attack of Kazuya, Jura couldn't take it and was forced to kneel in one knee but he still tried to block and parry the attacks.

'A chance!' Kazuya thought before, he used his divine fire to shoot towards Jura. But unfortunately, Jura saw that and jumped back.

Swoosh!

But that's what is Kazuya was waiting for, within that frame of time when Jura jumped back. Kazuya also jumped but he was faster than Jura.

Kazuya arrived where Jura landed, and swiftly delivered a blow to him by kicking Jura's head just after he landed.

Bam!

And just like that Jura was thrown once again. But Kazuya dashed and followed Jura who was in mid air, he then slashed his sword but Jura tilted his body to dodge.

Unfortunately for Jura, Kazuya's sword was faster and his side was deeply cut. Blood flowed out of the wound continuously before he ultimately smashed on the ground.

Bam!

"Cough* Ack! Aargh...Shit!" Jura cursed while laying down and using his hand as cover to his wound. But the blood didn't stop flowing out.

Tak...Tak...(Footsteps sfx)

Jura looked up and saw the young man he just fought, Kazuya looked at him coldly.

Kazuya said, "Die!" before slashing his sword at Jura's neck ending his life.

Slash! Spurt!

Some blood spurt and got onto Kazuya's face bit he ignored it. By now he was already used to blood getting on him. He ignored Jura's dead body and directly rushed towards the other Rudra Familia members.

Those remaining members already started to flee when they saw their Captain, Jura, was killed. But it seems that death is already ready to receive them as they saw Kazuya swiftly appearing behind them.

Swoosh!

Kazuya didnt say anything and started killing the remaining enemies. He did it as he needs to destroy the Rudra Familia and to prevent revenge or these men to continue harming others.

Slash! Swish!

"Aaahhhh!"

Soon screams of pain and despair were heard as Kazuya slaughtered the rest of the enemies. The remaining Astraea Familia members watched on as Kazuya slaughtered the enemies.

Although they, themselves hated the Rudra Familia and killed some of them. They still felt uncomfortable watching Kazuya easily slaughter the enemies.

Kazuya easily killed the enemies as one, the enemies lost their morale when he killed their captain. And two, since he got stronger and the remaining enemies are just level 3, with some evel 4's in the mix.

Swoosh!

Kazuya burned the bodies of those he killed with his divine fire, but left the others as he didn't know the bodies of the Astraea Familia members, which turned the bodies into ash quickly. After that he walked towards the Astraea Familia members, which raised their guard a little.

Kazuya smiled wryly seeing that, well he couldn't blame them. Although technically he wanted and did save them, they doesn't know that.

"Don't worry I mean no harm. Look, if I did I wouldn't have talk to you girls. And just straight up attack you" He said

The girls of the Astraea Familia remembered the scene where Kazuya easily killed the Rudra Familia members and shuddered a bit. With that they lowered down their guard a bit but still alert.

"Thank you for saving us" The first to talk was a beautiful girl with bright red hair and green eyes, "I'm Alise Lovell, the captain of Astraea Familia"

Kazuya smiled seeing that they decided to talk now. "I'm Kazuya Kinoshita, a member of Hephaestus Familia" He introduced himself, which relieved them as he isn't from an evil familia.

"Ara~ Ara~, are you also from the far east?" A voice said, turning his head Kazuya saw a beautiful girl with long black hair with some kind of hair ornament and black eyes.

'Ah...She's the onee-san type right? With the Ara~ Ara~ and shit' He thought before replying, "You can say that" he nodded, since Japan is indeed in an eastern country.

"My apologies for not introducing myself, I'm Goujono Kaguya. Vice-captain of Astraea Familia" She said, and after that the others also introduced themselves.

After introductions were done, the atmosphere and mood turned solemn. The remaining Astraea members became sad and mourned their dead companions.

"Can you tell me which your companions bodies are? I can help you transport them outside so they can have a proper burial" Kazuya suggested as he knew the dungeon will probably absorb the bodies if they're left here.

"Please!" Alise and the others bowed their head. Kazuya then asked them to point out the bodies of their companion and he stored them in his inventory after all they are not alive now so he can store their corpse.

Of course the Astraea Familia members were surprised but Kazuya explained that it was his unique ability.

After that they started to go up the dungeon. They rested at Rivira as the others except Kazuya was tired.
