10 Chapter 9: Exposing Alexen

"What?" "What?" "What did you say?" All three of them glared at Evelyn at the same time. But she didn't know why she felt their aggrieved gazes like that of an abandoned puppy. Oh God, her eyes... they're hallucinating in broad day light! But so what? She needed to control herself as she raised a brow and looked at them indifferently. All of them looked at each other and soon a weird silence prevailed in the room. The Whitford siblings seemed like they would breathe out fire like dragons if possible, whereas Evelyn seemed like looking at some strangers who intruded in her room. For a moment Kesi felt like a war was about to break out in the small room. And then it happened. Amelia jerked away Aiden's hands and pounced on Evelyn, scaring the lives out of everyone present in the room. Because of her quick reflexes, Evelyn grabbed Amelia so that they didn't fall due to the impact. Or the scene would become hilarious! "Ahhh! Evyyyy, Why are you doing this? Are you angry because of Second Brother? Is this the reason? If that's the case, then let's dump him in the waste can together. But in exchange, can you not say such harsh words? Pleaseeeee~" Amelia clung on Evelyn's neck who was slightly taller than Amelia by God Knows How. Whatever! But the way Amelia spoke and adding to her pout and whiny words, a huge shiver ran down in Evelyn's spine, making her shudder. And that case was not only for Evelyn, it applied to Aiden, Alexen and Kesi too. Even Aiden and Alexen who was used to Amelia's whiny nature shuddered. Just what was wrong with their sister? Evelyn struggled to free her hold from Amelia but later didn't let her as she pulled Evelyn's face closer to her face, making the three onlookers stand straighter! Whereas, Evelyn stiffened and felt like crying with no tears. And when she heard Amelia's next words whispering near her ear softly so that others couldn't hear, she almost fainted due to anger. Extreme anger! "Evelyn, stay as my little sister and I'll protect you, from everyone. Even from them," Amelia glanced at her brothers, "So you can be naughty or be good, I don't care. But if you really dare to leave, I'll make sure that your reputation is tarnished outside completely and you've no choice but to stay with me." Evelyn's eyes widened for a moment and then a bitter smile appeared on her lips as she scoffed, surprising Amelia. Then she pushed Amelia forcefully away from her as if Amelia was a pest as she dust away the invisible dirt on her. Amelia staggered on her feet as her brothers caught her and naturally glared at Evelyn for treating their baby sister poorly. But Amelia wasn't focused on them, instead she looked at Evelyn pitifully, "You-" But Evelyn didn't let her speak as an evil smile made way in her lips as she spat out the harsh reality non-chalantly, "Reputation? My Reputation? How much more my reputation be ruined when I don't even have a reputation? Afterall, since the day I was admitted in school by MY GRANDFATHER'S help, Second Young Master had made sure from the day one that I don't have any reputation. Because of him my peers kept on ignoring me or insulting me rude words. And then the whole school labelled me as a 'Bast*rd Child' who should be avoided. How can there be any reputation left for me to care about? Isn't it ridiculous?!" Hearing this sudden disclosure, Amelia was shocked as she kept on looking at Evelyn's face in a dazed state, who was trying to behave non-chalant yet her eyes were potraying all the pain she was feeling at the moment. This... How can this be like this? Second Young Master... means Second Brother? Amelia viciously glared at Alexen who bowed his head in embarassment. It wasn't like he wanted to do things this way, but he was young at that time. He didn't know what should be done and what shouldn't be. He didn't have that common sense at that time that for a girl her reputation was a major thing. And he himself spoilt a girl's reputation for his recklesness. Moreover, his father never corrected him, so he used to think that he was doing right all the time. How would he have know that the school wasn't under his father's control and his father DIDN'T know an ounce of the things going inside it. "Second Brother, you... How could you do such a vile thing to our little sister?" Amelia accused Alexen who was already embarrassed felt even more embarrassed for being confronted by Amelia, his baby sister. Never in the world, he had ever thought that his dark history would be exposed to his baby sister like that... That Dark History which he was trying to stop painstakingly to bite him back. But this hateful girl still exposed him... even in this way. And reflexly, he glared at Evelyn but when he caught the sight of Evelyn who was looking down with a downcasted and bitter expression, he didn't know why but he felt so uncomfortable from that look. "Stop glaring at her. Look at me. Why did you do that? Isn't he your sister too? Why did you do that to her then? Will you like it if I was the one in her place today? Getting insulted with such vile words everyday?" "NO!" "NO!" By instinct, two male voices echoed in the room, as both Aiden and Alexen panicked, making Evelyn's bitter smile more bitter. Hah! They couldn't let any wrong come to Amelia! But what about her? If she tried to avoid the problems, these two brothers would forcibly throw the problems at her like throwing stones on glass windows. And these problems would only stop coming to her, if she could leave this d*mn place. Sooner the Better. Just looking at these three Whitford siblings hurt her eyes. "If you want to lecture them, can you go and do it somewhere else. You're disturbing my leisure. At least give me some peace, before I leave," Evelyn rolled her eyes as she glanced at Kesi to go and bring the things she asked to.
