Departure with my mate

Liam's Pov:

I was sitting in the party Hall and chatting with Sammy when Venom started to howl and it suddenly hit me, the most intoxicating scent, it smelled of tequila and lemon, which was a strong liquor but yet it was calming. I quickly started to scan the room searching for it's source, I wanted to get up from my seat and go search for whoever it was that emitted the smell. But I couldn't since I didn't want to cause any problem in the party, Alpha Finn might kill me if I did and I didn't want to die just yet. So I quietly sat down, ' If it truly is my mate he will come to me ', I thought and glued my eyes in the hall waiting to see who would come for me. And truly the scent started to get stronger and closer, it felt as if the scent was searching madly for me. The owner of the smell started to come in view and I was becoming restless, Alpha Finn quickly jolted from his seat and quickly walked to the person emitting the intoxicating smell. But he ignored Alpha Finn and glued his eyes on me and I also stared back at him, he walked by pass Alpha Finn and walked straight to my way and I jolted up from my seat, we both kept staring at each other for a few seconds before shouting at the same time, " Mate ". Alpha Finn quickly walked back to my mate and started to talk politely to him.

"Your Majesty, please let me show you to your seat. " Alpha Fin said respectfully and with a flattering smile.

But my mate whom Alpha Finn addressed as " Your Majesty ", still ignored him and continued to stare at me for good five minutes before replying to Alpha Finn.

" I'd like to sit with my mate, Finn. " he stated giving no space for refusal.

Alpha Finn's Pov:

I was dumbfounded when the Alpha King mentioned of mate, I was so shocked that I couldn't react, ' No ... no ... my plans can't change!!! I worked so hard for this!!! ', I thought to myself as i continued to ask the Alpha King.

" Your mate? Who might that be Your Majesty? "

I asked the Alpha King out of rage and annoyance,but I didn't let him know or he'll have my head. That idiot smiled like a lost puppy and pointed his finger.

" Him, the one dressed up in white suit, and the most beautiful one among everyone here. " he answered me like a puppy gifted with a ball.

I was stunned and I couldn't hide my happiness, it felt as if I won the buy one get one free deal. He is mated to Liam, the same Liam I wanted to use as a bargaining chip. I guess I could add more conditions to our previous deal, I bet he wouldn't refuse me. I quickly ordered Sam to give his seat to the Alpha King when the beta of the Blood Moon pack shouted, " Mate ", I stared at him in confusion and I saw him stare at Sam. ' Oh moon goddess, you're showering me with so much blessing in one night ' I muttered. Another condition added. I felt extremely happy, tonight was truly a happy day which needs to be celebrated. " Let the celebration begin ", I ordered my pack.

Alaric's Pov:

Alpha Finn ordered my mate who's name I just found out as Sam to give his seat to Xavier, but he was busily holding unto Xavier's mate that he didn't notice me. I decided to get his attention so I shouted " Mate ", he turned to look at me in horror and hid behind Xavier's mate. I congratulated Xavier and walked over to pull my mate from behind of Xavier's mate whose name I don't know, Sam held Xavier's mate tightly and didn't want to let go.

Sam's Pov:

The guy whom I ran from came to the party with the Alpha King who turned out to be Liam's mate, ' this is turning worst than it already was ', I thought. My mate walked over to me and I hid behind Liam, but he still grab hold of my hand and started to peel me away from Liam. I held Liam very tight as I didn't want to go with him, but Liam peeled off my hand and cupped my cheeks and whispered into my ears.

" it'll be alright, go with him for now. We will work this out together, hm. I'll always be here for you. "

Liam gave me an assuring smile and I smiled back at him before letting go and following my mate to take the seat next to Liam's mate's seat.

Xavier's Pov:

I took the seat next to my mate and turned to stare at him, " he looked like a goddess, the moon goddess has truly granted him with beauty ", I mind link Nik and he nodded in agreement. I extended my hand and took my mate's hands in mine, his hands felt so soft and tiny compared to mine. But my mate quickly yanked his hands from mine and Nik and I whimpered. I felt dejected, I knew no one would want to be mated to me but it hurts more when my mate rejected my touch. He hasn't really rejected me completely which I'm grateful for that now. But the thought of him rejecting me was too much that I couldn't bear but fear.

Liam's Pov:

Venom whimpered when I yanked my hands from my mate's hold, he started to get restless and howl in our mind link which scared the hell out of me. He has never behaved that way before so I didn't know what to do.

" Venom what's wrong with you? Are you hurt? " I panicked and asked, i scoffed after hearing my own thoughts.

How could he get hurt when I'm not hurt, but still I needed to ask him since his behavior was really scary.

" Not me, our mates are hurt and sad, you rejected their touch which means we don't want them. "

Venom said as he continued to whimper and howl non-stop. I felt apologetic hearing that

" How do I make them not feel rejected by us? " i asked Venom

" Apologize to them and hold their hand back. "

I decided to do just as Venom instructed since I didn't know much about this mate thing, tho I could feel the bond too. I looked at my mate who was quietly staring at the floor and held his hands, he turned to look at me in shock and smiled, I returned his smile and say to him.

" I am sorry, I didn't mean to reject you, I was just startled. "

His face loosened up and he smiled warmly at me and clasped his huge hands over my tiny hands and caressed the back of my hands.

" What is your name, beautiful? "

He smirked and asked me with a sheepish smile.

" I'm Liam. And what should I call His Majesty? "

I politely answered back and asked him.

" Xavier Hale. That's my name. "

" Okay Alpha Xavier. " I repeated his name in my mouth which sounded foreign yet somewhat familiar in my mouth making him smile happily.

" No, Just Xavier, after all you're my mate and Luna. There's no need for formalities. " i looked at him stunned as he said to me in a very mild and soft tone.

Our conversations went on like this with him asking questions and I answer throughout the whole party. Alpha Finn made an announcement to the pack about my departure with the Alpha King the next morning and they talked about business and other stuffs. The party was finally over and it was time to go to bed. Alpha Finn wanted me to spend the night with the Alpha King in the same room, but Xavier disagreed and gave me the rights to choose where I wanted to sleep. I was truly grateful he didn't force me and I whole heartedly thanked him before I left for my room.

I laid down on my bed after shower and fell asleep quickly as I was really exhausted. The morning light brightened my room and I woke up to the sounds made by the omegas as they packed my bags to the Alpha King's car, I quickly got off my bed and took a quick shower and dressed up in simple clothes. I went out to the pack house and saw that they were all ready to go including Sam, I smiled and quickly walked to him. The omegas quickly parked our belongings and we were led to the SUVs, Xavier, Sam's mate whose name I still don't know, Sam and I sat in the same car and the others sat in the car in front. The chauffeur drove out of the crescent pack when we all seated, " Here comes my new life ", I muttered to myself.
