The thought made her gasp, but then she turned to climb off the bed. However, her legs failed her, and she fell on the floor. "Ahh!" In pain, she reacted. The man wearing the black suit rushed to her. "Anna," he worriedly mentioned her name. "Didn't you hear what the doctor said?" He frowned. "What...?" 13. Her cell phone

"Please let go!" Wei Yan voiced out when the pain in her scalp began to hit miserably. Tears should have gushed out of her eyes but it seemed like Wei Yan had run out of tears.

With a grimacing face, Wei Yan struggled with Zhu Jia to release her but the more she tried to free herself by shaking her body as if there were bugs covering her, the more Zhu Jia pulled Wei Yan's hair.

"Who are you to order me around, Wei Yan?" Zhu Jia's tone reflected how remorseless she was. Though Wei Yan couldn't view Zhu Jia's face, she knew that Zhu Jia was smiling mockingly at her.

Zhu Jia didn't mind if Wei Yan's hair broke out of her scalp. She found pleasure in what she was doing and tortured Wei Yan more by kicking her legs.

"Ahh!" Wei Yan fell to her knees caused by Zhu Jia's kick. This action pulled Wei Yan's hair even more. Wei Yan's mouth went wide open as she wailed in pain.

"Please let go, Zhu Jia. I can't take it anymore," Wei Yan cried once more with little expectations but to her surprise, Zhu Jia let her go.

"Sure, I'll get the food ready for Madam," Zhu answered as if she just heard from Wei Yan about arranging Madam's dinner.

While Wei Yan was wincing in pain, Zhu Jia walked out of the room with a full feeling of satisfaction.

Wei Yan looked around her to see some of her colleagues snickering and murmuring about her. Wei Yan, who was already worried about her Madam, ran out of the room and went straight to Anna's room.

And while she was at it, she composed herself and fixed her hair. Wei Yan knew that she couldn't tie her hair anymore so she straightened and brushed it with her fingers.

Soon, Wei Yan reached the door to Madam's room. She stood in front of the door for a while preparing herself for everything that might happen.

The next moment, Wei Yan opened the door and walked in. "Oh, Madam!" She announced her presence, aiming to apologize immediately.

Wei Yan raced to Anna's presence almost immediately after she entered the room. "I'm sorry for taking time," Wei Yan uttered with her head bowed and her hand holding the other.

"It won't happen again but it happened just after you promised me. Isn't that part of you breaking your promise?" Anna asked without removing her gaze from the view of the garden before her. She was still facing the window.

Wei Yan stayed quiet. At that moment, she didn't know what to say.

"Are you going to tell me what happened?" Anna asked, still not turning to look at Wei Yan who was standing beside her.

"Madam?" Wei Yan wasn't confused, she couldn't tell if her Madam could sense what was going on but she knew that Anna was very observant.

Anna let her head down with a sigh escaping her mouth. "It's okay. I want to change my dress, do help me with that." Now, Anna turned her gaze to Wei Yan and realized that her hair had been set free from the tight bun.

Anna decided to ignore it. She just couldn't wait to see George so she could discuss things with him. Anna believed that something was going on in the house without his knowledge and they needed to put an end to it.

"I forgot to ask, did George at least, mention a way I can communicate with him?" Anna asked.

"I don't think so, Madam. Perhaps he forgot. However, I can contact him for you, Madam," Wei Yan answered.

"Oh, you've got his phone number…you should, he's your boss," Anna nodded thoughtfully, trying to resist asking Anna about the look on her face and the bruise on her hands.

Wei Yan was in silence, hoping that Anna wouldn't question her further about her situation. Wei Yan couldn't answer the question and she also couldn't continue lying to Madam. She was in a tight spot.

"I'll let you know when I want to contact him. For now, help me change to something comfortable for the night," Anna's statement sent a wave of relief to Wei Yan's heart.

It felt as if Wei Yan could now breathe. She walked forward and grabbed the handles to push Anna to the bathroom.

While Anna was thinking about what must be going on with Wei Yan, she remembered that she had a lot of property but what would have happened to it?

And her cell phone?

Anna shook her head. Everything she had with her the night of the accident must be with nobody else but that bastard who killed the original Anna.

Anna closed her eyes trying to recall most of the things that must be stored in her cell phone. Could there be any evidence against Wang Lixin in her phone?

Anna was left with only panties on. She refused to have another bath and insisted that Wei Yan just massage her body with a wet towel.

Wei Yan was busy with that while Anna was lost in her thoughts. Unfortunately, she couldn't quite recall what was saved on her phone.

A knock on the door was then heard. "George?"

Anna was quick to snap out of her thoughts when she heard the knock on the door. She immediately assumed that it was George because of the mistake he committed in the morning.

However, it turned out to be Zhu Jia. Zhu Jia knocked on the door to check if Madam was in the bathroom and when she confirmed that, she announced that she had dropped Madam's meal in the room.

"Thank you, Zhu Jia!" Anna cried out because she instructed Zhu Jia not to enter the room and just say what she wanted to say.

After that, Anna turned to Wei Yan. "I need to speak with George," Anna adamantly said to Wei Yan.

Anna couldn't trust the meal Zhu Jia prepared for her. She just woke up from a coma which was actually a miracle because she got transmigrated.

Anna had not begun her journey yet so she needed to be vigilant.

She shouldn't be as stupid as the previous Anna was.
