The return of Shams became the talk of the school.

A puzzle and mystery to all …

'How did little Ryoku survive being alone in the forest?'

'Where little Ryoku ended up within the forest?'

'We looked almost everywhere in the forest but we could not find little Ryoku.'

'It is a miracle!'

'Thank God! Nothing happened serious or worst to the little one.'

…

…

These were some of the thoughts that plagued around the school.

At the night of his return, Shams was taken care of and looked after by almost everyone.

He became the apple of the eyes for everyone and having him back was something that everyone celebrated.

They feared worst for him but seeing him alive and well made them all in a festive mood.

While Master Wushu placed his tea set outside the room of Shams,

When almost everyone was camped inside with no space left since almost everyone wanted to sleep within the room of Shams at the night of his return.

The moment those who volunteered to stay with Shams that night fell asleep, Shams crawled his way out from his crib.

Because there were,

Too much snoring …

Too much sleep talks …

Mixed breath and warmer air …

But when Billy farted loudly and badly, since Billy was positioned next to Shams' crib …

Shams could no longer tolerate what was going on.

As he crawled his way out from the crib while holding his breath from the poisonous fart of Billy,

Holding on to the edge of his own crib, he could see there was no more space to step on since almost everyone occupied the space.

Good thing, More than half of the {Senior-Ranked} disciples were on patrol duty and more than half of {Junior-Ranked} disciples were in library doing important task from Master Wushu himself.

This made Shams' room less worse than it looked like at the moment.

The problem though is he could not step on the floor since it was like a field of mines but in this case was full of unconscious bodies all over the place.

So, he remembered on how Maya made it possible to float.

Focusing on the circulation of his own ki and gathered it around his feet.

A surge of energy being gathered around Shams' feet. Then, he focused on controlling his own weight and balancing gravity.

There were a lot of wobbling mid-air as he let go of the edge of his crib.

'Damn it! Why it looked so easy when Maya did it? Woah! I cannot fall or else these people will wake up.' Shams thought to himself.

Shams was not aware that it took Maya a lot of practice to manage and control her balance. It takes experience and constant practice to get used to the floating.

Due to consistent wobbling,

Another innovative thought entered Shams' mind.

'Ooh! I think this will work.'

Shams aimed for the wall despite of his wobbling.

His crib was near to the wall so it was not that far and difficult to reach towards the wall.

As soon as he get to the wall, he gathered his ki around his tiny hands and knees.

What everyone doesn't know, Shams was able to figure out in making his skin stick on any object without falling through attachment of his excess refined energy to a concrete object.

In this case was the wall.

So, he crawled on the wall without falling. He crawled all the way to the door.

Once he reached the door, he flipped and somersaulted.

Shams successfully left the room unnoticed by the sleeping bunch of disciples.

For few steps and after he closed the door, Master Wushu was just outside the room with all of his tea set placed properly in front of him.

This surprised Shams.

Making him lose his balance and fall to the ground.

-Thud-

"Ow!" Shams scratching his butt as he tried to get back up.

"Little Ryoku, where are you going? It is late at night already." Master Wushu asked Shams before taking a sip on his warm tea.

The youngest disciple of Master Wushu sat near his master while looking up in the sky.

There was silence from Shams because he could not explain what he went through and how come he could speak.

Many things could not be easily explained and will be difficult to understand if it came from a young toddler's mouth.

So he decided to remain silent and just look up at the starry night.

"Cannot Sleep? Don't you want to share anything?" Master Wushu made his attempt to interrogate his youngest disciple without intimidating him.

Since Shams was the youngest, there was a certain soft spot in Master Wushu that he has a different approach when it comes with Shams.

A deep breath and sigh were the only reply of Shams to his Master.

< Sss … Why don't you explain and tell your master everything that happened? Sss … >

'Shut up! Leave this to me, Viper!'

The voice disappeared at the command of Shams.

Everyone are not aware and clueless that Shams has tamed a mythical beast in a very unorthodox way.

A complete Fusion of body and soul.

Never been done nor heard in the pages of history of the human realm.

But Shams was able to do it successfully.

He even named his tamed mythical beast into … Viper!

*** Brief flashback ***

Inside the dark sealed cave,

A flame encircling around Shams.

Out of nowhere, wet liquid was felt by Shams with his tiny feet.

His little sandals became wet and the bright turquoise looking liquid went up to his ankle.

"Woah! Is this gasoline? It doesn't smell gasoline though!" Shams implied to the mysterious voice.

Shams looked around and saw flames surrounding him with the mysterious wet thing was the only thing that was illuminating around.

Outside the circle was complete darkness and he had no idea what was the inside of the cave.

< Sss … Do not worry! You are safe. But let me ask you, how do you wish to tame me? Sss … >

"Who said I would just simply tame you? I want to fuse with you! Our body and soul into one!" Shams declared to the voice.

< Sss … What?!?! That's, beyond anyone's rational thinking! A-are you sure about your plan? I do not know if that will work. Sss … >

"I will lend you my massive ki, then you will try to combine your spiritual energy to mine. At the same time, I will let my ki absorb your entity to combine with my soul. With that, both force will be making its process fuse and link together. Can you do it or not?" Shams laid out everything to the mythical beast.

After Shams releasing all his massive ki, it impressed the mythical beast at the sight of Shams with a massive ki surrounding him.

A unique and different feeling that the mythical beast never seen before.

Thus, it decided to take a leap of faith on Shams' plan.

< Sss … Fine! I can do it. Just do not forget your promise of complete domination in all realms. Everything you desire will be yours. My service and loyalty will be forever on your side. Sss … >

"I already told you! Leave everything to me. I got you!"

Everything became unexpectedly magnificent and magical.

Time has passed …

Both beings could not comprehend how long the process was.

After the fusion process of uniting of soul and body, Shams was covered with flames and scales.

< Sss … It is a success! Sss … >

Said by the voice within Shams.

Compared to before, the voice seemed to be from the inside of his body.

Rather than hearing it from the outside.

"Well, let us name you … Because you deserve a name, instead of just letting you talk without a specific name."

< Sss … W-wait, y-you should kn--- … >

Shams did not let the mythical beast finish and he declared to name it …

"From now on, you will be called VIPER!"

Immediately after naming his mythical beast into 'Viper'… He fell unconscious for a day.

Unknowingly, Shams was not aware that it will require a lot of ki as well to name a tamed or fused beast.

Especially when it is a mythical beast.

*** End of Flashback ***

'There are things that need to stay unknown to them. It is better this way. For all of us.' Shams explained to Viper.

Master Wushu sipped his warm tea while observing Shams who was contemplating and looking up towards the starry night.

A space and peace of mind were given to Shams at that moment.

His master thought that maybe after all the suffering and danger that Shams went through, maybe his youngest disciple needs it for the night.

The days passed and the case that happened to Shams remained a mystery since the youngest disciple will not speak about what happened to him.

Every time they raise the issue or ask him about it, Shams always changed the topic and avoided to answer anything about it.

[In the Clinic of the school]

The medical specialist amongst the disciple of Master Wushu concluded that Shams may have been in trauma and forcing him to revisit the experience may eventually lead to a problem.

"Are you sure Shay?" Feilong asked in curiosity.

Shay is a female {Senior-Ranked} disciple of Master Wushu. She is considered as a doctor of the school because of her vast knowledge on medicine.

"Yes. We must leave it as it is. Further forcing it may lead to complications so let us just shower him with love and avoid anything that will stress him further. Little Ryoku went through a traumatizing experience. Only time can tell when he will be ready to tell us everything." Shay further explained to Feilong.

Everyone present at the clinic, even those who were taking a peek while Shams was being diagnosed felt a moment of worry and concern for their youngest member in the school.

Their most senior fellow disciple reported it to Master Wushu.

An announcement to everyone was made from that day on,

*** The Announcement ***

Shams should never be given any work or any task by anyone. At all times, there should be at least two disciples accompanying or looking after Shams. Once, Shams is left alone with no one by his side. All students will be punished.

"WHHHAAT ???!! Urgh! That little monster is exempted with everything? So basically, he is like a prince of this school who will walk around doing whatever he wants." An annoyed tone could be heard from Hawks.

"Hawks … He went through a lot so you should be understanding …" Rankuza nervously pointed out.

Hawks glared at Rankuza.

A scared Rankuza lowered his gaze after Hawks showed his deathly look in his eyes.

But Maya was able to calm him through reminding him that Shams is still young and all of them must be the responsible one to look after him.

"If you want to be a future master … You should learn patience and responsibility … So, this is the perfect challenge for you to hone your skills in becoming a future master." Maya manipulated Hawks in taking it from a different perspective.

Both Rankuza and Billy were amazed and impressed with Maya's manipulative skills.

They went ahead to the library to prepare for their class.

Meanwhile …

On the other hand,

A new dilemma was encountered by the youngest disciple.

Due to the new announcement, Shams could not even go all out and test his new powers with Viper alone.

-UGHH-

'I may have gained new power but how can I test it if 24/7 I am being followed and pestered around by everyone.' Shams was internally struggling and desperate to how he will test his newly acquired powers.

He walked around with two disciples tagging along beside him.

< Sss … Too bad! You will always be treated like a baby. Hahaha! Sss … >

Viper teasing Shams but the youngest disciple could not do anything about it.

Frowning …

Sulking within …

And frustrated …

'I have to find a way then … How to test this power of mine? Soon I will find my own way …'
