The Fox Alfred

The following week was one of planning and the beginning of the foundation placement. With Alfred's Disassembly skill, he was able to use it to take the bark off the wood and chunk it into boards. The problem came up with getting the slats for the outer wall and inner wall ready. With the blacksmiths help and the natural slashing sill he had in the vampire form, him and George were able to prep the building out and have the outer work done about a week and a half after the start of construction. So, when George had a job for the village tools, refining the edges on them for the farm equipment, Alfred understood and thanked him for the help. When it came to the inside, Alfred was thinking of magically sealing parts of the rooms and thinking of a wooden card system. The card opened the door. Any access for a guest was permitted to the person that directly followed the card holder in. there would be 50 room for regular customers, 3 private large baths. And about 10 large rooms with 3 beds in them. Those are for the party adventures or the rich who missed the bath rooms. Then the whole top floor would be sealed by the seals Alfred created. The doors and windows were reinforced with magic or that Kiri found. And the inside walls would hold the Circuits and seals to make no one able to get in with out his tag. the upper floor took Alfred a whole week after the bottom two floors and the cellar. So, it was the 63 rooms for sale with the kitchen and dining hall. And the registration desk. Then on the second floor the additional rooms for the workers who needed a place maybe 7 other rooms. The first and second floor was nice enough to require silk sheets but the quality of rooms to the third floor was for people like adventurers and the poor that needed a room. The 10 rooms for adventurers to share and 5 rooms from the employees were here. The sheets were a common item and didn't cost much but the sheets for the rich rooms were bought from the Shop Alfred could access from his phone. The end of the month came quicker then he thought. With the entire village looking at the newly built WinterGreen Spring, the were amazed by the simple fact that a boy of 4 years old had built a 4-story building with 3 upper floors having a wrap around veranda.

The chief had talked with George and Maybell about the boy they seem to have adopted. The village had readily accepted him now and once they were told the boy would be their family, no one could object. "guys," Alfred starts talking to the mass, "id like to say thank you for accepting my, a boy not even human." Everyone had pretty muck seen the fox form, and were only worried if it would attack. "I know I caused a bit of stress in the first week I was here, getting here and seeing the springs and then making an inn for the village to make money. I hope to see the village prosper. With only about 90 people here at a time id like to take the time to hire a few permanent workers for the inn. while the direct manager will be Auntie Maybell, everyone else is under her. She will be sending me an allotted amount from the inn based on earning not on a base price. The pay is once a week otherwise and advances on work done only. Ill send some foods for the village when I come across them. I will take care of you like family." Alfred was getting emotional in the tired little boy body he had. He thought he was able to control his emotions and ended up loosing control over his sized form of the Fox. With the Fox cub in front of the crowd, they ended up smiling at the boy who got so emotional to lose his form. Alfred ended up going to Maybell and asking her to carry him because he was passing out. Maybell ended up taking him to his floor in the inn and going to place him down at the door. Turning around to leave, she heard a voice close to Alfred's that sounded grumbly but still had his childish pitch. "thankyou Maybell. Without your knowledge about managing things id be lost about who to place in the position. Ill be leaving in 2 days but I'll come back every month at the end. I'm going to sleep now Telepathy takes more out of me then I thought." Maybell said nothing, and except for the slight sad frown you wouldn't even know she was sad. She left and Alfred went to the edge of his bed to hop on it. Kiri was already there and had taken to treating Alfred's fox form like his own cub. Curling up together for the night seemed good so they did and as the sleep came so did Alfred's slight voice. "thank you kiri. Without you I would never be able to bear the weight of being a child with an 80-year-old Soul." Kiri only hummed in appreciation and off to the land of dreams they went.
