Chapter 132: Primitive Life (2)

Yunaria showed Lu Xie around the tribe, there are so many things that Lu Xie found.

One is that food is famine, there's no water source, and the tents can be wet if ever there is heavy rain. This tribe won't last long if it continues to be like this.

She also noticed theirs a few children around the tribe, it seems that their population is very low.

"Ne ne Xie, the tribe is cool right" Yunaria smiled widely

Lu Xie nodded and smiled slightly, they then both walked toward the chief tent. There the man from earlier was waiting for them.

"Yunaria, talk with me for a second," the man said

Yunaria step forward to her father "Yes father" she asked

Yunaria's father the head leader Tosum patted her shoulder and said seriously "That person will be the next chief of the village and it's your responsibility to get married and have children for the betterment of the tribe"

"Wha...what? There's no way I'll marry someone and have kids NO WAY!!!" Yunaria refused and said loudly flustered as she put her tongue out for a second and ru

Tosum chased after her "You child come back here" he said

Lu Xie was amused and laughed while watching them having a game of chasing. After a while, they both stopped and Yunariad hid behind her.

"Alright, it's getting late you go and take her to your tent," Tosum said as he turned and left

Yunaria had a hidden blush on her cheek she had her back to Lu Xie so she did not notice it.

"L... let's go come with me," she said nervously

"Okay" Lu Xie nodded and followed behind

They when to a tent and got in, it was a little too small for two people to fit in but since they are both thin and slender they fit perfectly.

Lu Xie yawned as she was tired and lay on the ground with animal skin on her bed "Good night Yunaria" she said softly with a smile and closed her eyes tiredly

Yunaria hugged both her legs and looked at the person sleeping with a blush on her face "I'm not ready yet" she whispered softly

No one heard her but she kept her eyes on the person breathing evenly, she then slowly lay sideways and faced her.

Looking at her sleeping face she felt like a thief wanting to get the beauty, she resisted her first-ever temptation. And turn her back on her to sleep.

The next day,

Lu Xie woke up and was dragged instantly, she did not have time to regain her senses when she was pushed inside a tent.

"Wha..." she said as she blinked her eyes to make her vision clear

Then saw the chief waiting for her, but she noticed him breathing irregularly and his touching his chest.

"Cheif, are you okay?" she asked immediately

"I...I'm fine, come here and receive the blessings" he said weakly

Lu Xie immediately approached him then he chanted some words she didn't understand, she felt her body heat up for a second and then stop.

The chief then coughed, she hurriedly look at him and saw him cough blood she then patted his back hurriedly.

"Cheif" Lu Xie called her eyes turned red

"I...I'm fine *cough* come let's finish the ceremony. Help me up" he said

Lu Xie help him to stand up then they both walked out of the tent, a group of people formed a line and in the center of the tribe a small podium was there with different kinds of offerings it seems.

The old chief gestured for her to kneel, Lu Xie knelt while she bowed her head looking at the ground.

The chief chanted another word, like an ancient language. The sky darkens a little and then a beam of light shot down. The light was shot at Lu Xie, for a few seconds then the sky returned to normal.

"THE NEW CHEIF HAS BEEN CHOSEN!!" the old said loudly

The tribes all cheered loudly and bowed "All hail the chief" they all said

The old man put on a necklace around her neck and patted her shoulder, then as he was about to fall.

Lu Xie timely caught him and gently make him lie on the floor.

After they paid their respects to the old man and burned his body so he can be free. Lu Xie became the new chief of the tribe.

Their tribe is called the Porako tribe.

She learned that the place they are now living in was not the original they lived. They used to live in the forest where food, water, and shelter were not a problem.

Until they were attacked by the lizard tribe, they trampled their home and kill people in their tribe. A few of them escaped with the old chief's guide and settled where they are now.

Lu Xie thinks of a plan they can do, the tribe is poor and there are a few strong men that can hunt wild animals.

Speaking of wild animals "Ali is there any animal here that can be domesticated?" she asked

[Yes host there is this animal it's like a chicken but like it, it's about 1 meter tall, has huge claws and they ran fast just like a chicken]

"Hmm, that's good if we could capture some we can start domesticating them but for now my worry is water"

[You can just ask Tosum the leader of the hunting team]

"Okay"

Lu Xie nodded and then walked out of the tent when the people saw her they all smiled happily and greet her she smiled and then waved.

She went to Tosum who was about to get ready to leave for the hunt.

"Tosum?" she called

Tosum heard her call and said respectfully "Good morning chief" he greeted

"Good morning, I just like to ask if is there anywhere we can find a water source for the tribe?" she asked

"Yes about northwest where there is a large pond of water but it's inhabited by different animals so it's very dangerous," Tosum said seriously

Lu Xie nodded "Take me there I want to see it," she said

Tosum immediately shook his head "I can't your the chief of the tribe and your safety is important" he said refusing

"What's the use of me then just stuck in the tent? Yes, I'm the chief but I just can't watch people die for my sake. So take me there that's an order" Lu Xie said domineeringly

Tosum looked into her eyes and sighed "As you wish I'll call some of our warriors and go" he said respectfully

Then turned and left to call the others.

"Phew! That convinces him" she murmured
