As they walked around the base, there wasn't that much to see but one thing was for sure this base has no crops to farm or any animals they can breed for food.

"This base won't last for long" Lu Xie mumbled

Lilith nodded this base is poor it won't last long if a zombie siege were to attack.

"*sigh*" Lilith heard her Axie sigh and was looking from afar, her eyes had a hint of longing

Lu Xie looked at her and smile "It would be nice if you were a human Lilith I'm bored of just talking to myself and you can only nod or shook your head" she said with an emotion

Lilith also wanted to be a human very badly, she had been wishing for it since she met her. Seeing her sad she also felt sad in her heart so she rubbed her head beside her cheek softly.

Lu Xie hug her and stroked her fur "Let's go back to the house Lilith I'll make you some delicious dinner" she said softly

Lilith nodded, then bit her clothes and put her on her back as she ran toward the house they were told to stay.

When they arrived, 3 people were guarding the house, one of them was squatting while smoking the other two were just behind him.

When one of them saw her, he immediately signed his boss.

The man squatting looked at Lu Xie as if he had seen a treasure then smirked.

"Are you Lu Xie?" the man asked

Lu Xie frowned and said coldly "Who are you?" instead of answering

The man grinned "Well your mother and sister borrowed a lot of supplies from us they won't give them to us so they told us to go to you" he said as he puff the cigarette

Lilith growled and looked at her Axie from the corner of her eye she saw how her face turned dark and gloomy.

Lu Xie sneered "Take me to them first," she said with no emotion

The man nodded and started walking with the other two, Lilith followed them as she also pay attention to her Axie's mood on her back.

She can feel coldness surrounding her and her face can't be explained. She wanted to comfort her so she licked her face gently.

Lu Xie was thinking about how to take revenge on those two people when she felt a lick on her cheek, she look at Lilith and saw her worried.

She smiled "I'm fine Lilith," she said softly

Lilith rubs her head on her neck and then turns her head to the front.

A few minutes later,

They arrived in one of the houses which were smaller than the one they had, there were a lot of people outside, and even inside.

The man waved at the other people on the way as Lilith followed behind.

The man opened the door, Lu Xie got down from Lilith and then made her figure smaller about the height of Lu Xie.

They both stepped in, and the first thing she saw was a woman and a girl kneeling on the ground while a man with a suit was sitting on the sofa while smoking.

"Boss she's here," the man who guided her said

The woman and the girl immediately look in that direction and the woman started to cry "Woo woo woo my baby please help us" she said pitifully

Lu Xie coldly look at a woman and then the girl who flinched and lower her head in fear.

She looked at the man "How much do they owe you?" she asked coldly

The man puff the smoke and then smirked "About 400 points that's equal to a truck of food" he said calmly

Lu Xie looked at the woman and the girl then sneered "I'll help you this time but this is where our mother and daughter ends" she said coldly

The woman looked at her and gulp she didn't have the strength to oppose, seeing her deadly look she can't bring herself to speak

Lu Xie knew this man is unreasonable but she wanted to leave this place fast she felt as if she had been injected with a lot of germs.

She went to Lilith's side and then took out a lot of food she was taken it out of her space but she made it look like Lilith was the one whose holding the space.

A bunch of food was placed all over the living room after she took out the last food. Then drop it on the ground

"That's all of it," Lu Xie said coldly and looked at the woman then turned her back and left

The man didn't stop her and waved his hand to take all the food away.

The woman and the girl chased after Lu Xie.

"Lu Xie!!!" the woman called

Lu Xie didn't turn her head to face her but stopped with her back facing her.

"What!?" she asked with no void of emotion

"L...Lu Xie I... I know you're angry at us but please don't treat us like strangers I'm still your mother and I took care of you until you grew up" the woman said

Lu Xie tick her tongue then turn her back and face them "Really! Didn't you always say that I'm the worse thing that happened to your life? Wasn't it also you who treated me like trash? Wasn't it you who force me to sell my body to get supplies!!!" she said coldly

"That's your job as a woman!!" the woman retorted

Lu Xie sneered "I'm not like you, you disgust me so much" she spatted then spit on the side

"How dare you say that to me I'm your mother!!!" the woman shouted

"You are not my mother anymore since I paid for all the things you took that's the end of our relationship" Lu Xie looked at her like a stranger

The woman gritted her teeth and then noticed her daughter beside her "T...then at least help your sister" she said

Lu Xie smiled "Why would I help the person who pushed me to the zombie's mouth to die," she said with a soft tone

But that sent shivers to the two of them.

"Since you have nothing to say, I'm leaving" Lu Xie turn her back and then hop on Lilith's back

"L...Lu Xie!!!" the woman called

But Lu Xie never look back and went straight.

When they returned to the house, Lu Xie made a delicious meal. They both ate like normal talking and laughing as if earlier didn't happen.

After eating Lu Xie and Lilith went to sleep for the night.

The next day,

When they got out of the house Maya was standing there.

"Good morning to you both" she greeted with a smile

Lu Xie smiled "What's up?" she asked

"We're going to get more materials outside, I just want to ask if you guys want to come with us?" Maya asked

"Where are you getting the materials?" Lu Xie asked

"In Gangsi City" Maya smiled

Lilith was getting irritated by this girl, then look at Lu Xie who thinking.

"Alright let's go" Lu Xie nodded

'Ali, are you sure the ML is going to be Gangsi?'

[Yes host, but why are you looking for the ML?]

'If I want to find the heroine the ML would be the first to meet her'

[But why are you looking for the FL host] Ali asked confused
