Update: Hiatus for a while My name is Joe. I've been playing games about dungeon-building all my life with the hope of being able to manage or create one myself. Of course, I know there were no dungeons IRL, but who knows? A good friend of mine who knows of my obsession with dungeons gave me a birthday gift yesterday. It was a game in a different genre than what I played usually. But since it was a gift he gave me, I played it. Though there weren't really any "dungeons" in it, the oldies Eastern aesthetic took me in. I played it as soon as I got it from him, no questions asked. What did it give me?! Unwanted transmigration into this world of extra bullshit!!
I see nothing but blackness. I don't know the time. I don't know the place. Am I dead? I felt a burst of pain, and then here I am. Oh wait, I'm not dead. I felt something on my eyes, it's a cloth. Tearing it off, I could finally see light again, But I still don't know where I am.
A burst of pain came. From my back, my neck, my solar plexus, everywhere. Now that I see it, I was being bandaged left and right. Did I fight with someone while drunk? Is this place the hospital? It was mighty dark for a hospital though. Well, it is what it is. I'll sleep through it. I closed my eyelids, drifting off into slumberland. I seem to hear something in the background, but it's not that important I guess. Maybe it's the nurse.

] If you have to choose a prompt, what was your life like?
A. I lived in an urban city as an undergraduate student seeking employment, and now trying to train my writing skills by writing webnovels on the internet, however, a magic circle appeared beneath my feet and now I have to defeat the demon lord.
B. I lived as a farmhand and would like to try studying abroad, I managed to get a scholarship but the plane I was on crashed. I managed to survive but I seem to be transported into the future where every dinosaur has been remade from scratch, and I am inside their island.
C. I am just your regular Japanese high school student. I mastered the 9999 styles of the blade, and my grandfather was a samurai. My childhood friend is actually a demon in disguise and she was forced to marry a high ranking demon to save her family. With my demon slaying art, I saved her and a bunch of other girls.

] What was your ideal regarding power and life?
A. The Dao is eternal, from the void birthing one, from one birthing two, from two birthing three, and by three, the door opens. Myriad worlds converge into a spiral of will and desire. I have no desire of my own but to seek immortality, my will is eternal.
B. We always take away, now it was time to give back. Take root into the earth, breathe as one with it. Nourish the earth itself and it will nourish you back. You don't need all that action and immortality. For what use heavens would be if you can create one here? A heaven on earth, where family and friends gather to have fun.
C. Everything else was taken. Pride, family, friends. With nothing left to be taken, it was time for reaping everything else. Life and blood shall be taken until nothing was left but the path of plunder. All beings shall live according to the tenets of this new age, the age of plunder, the great age of pirates.

I opened my eyes and saw a transparent prompt window. I disregarded it because of something more troubling. I was not in a hospital. I don't know why I didn't feel it, but apparently, I slept on a straw bed. I looked at the ceiling and found it was made out of dried fibres. Opening up the window, I see nothing but a vast world. With mountains and rivers and all kinds of huts. Oh, there's also some guy passing by flying on a sword.
"Fuck no. It can't be, right?"
I looked around the place, trying to find a camera that will heal my wounded worldview. Sadly, I only managed to find a big lizard as tall as a hut made out of rock. I think my wounded worldview shattered just now.
"Okay, let's calm down first. Let's just sleep it off. Maybe I'll wake up back in my apartment."
I went to the straw bed. But the flashing prompt window was distracting my view. It kept on blinking intermittently. Sometimes it zoomed from the left to right, sometimes it acted like movie credits, and now it was blasting a third-rate music video from who knows where right inside my mind.
"Stop! Can't you fucking see that I'm panicking now?" I screamed at it.
[Oh… you will panic more than this, later on. How about we go do our business instead of bumbling around like an idiot?]
It sassed at me. This damn thing just sassed at me using multicoloured text. I would've hit it if I could, but it was a virtual thing. So, I sassed it back.
"How about instead of just complaining, you give me some directions or whatever?"
[That's why I said we should talk about our business.]
Ah. I can't win against this thing. I threw everything out of my figurative window and sat there on the bed while the transparent prompt explained everything to me.
