Aftermath

I teleported back to the stadium with Naruto and met up with Sakura. Then the three of us went all over the village treating the injured ninjas and helping other people that needed help. Finally everything was over. There weren't much loss to lives. Only the Third Hokage and some anbus passed away. The civilians were safe thanks to Naruto's shadow clones & the people who hated him started to change their opinions on Naruto. Many of them already viewed like their saviour.

Naruto was not used to these reactions from people. I patted on his back and said "This is what you wanted Naruto. People will not acknowledge you if you become Hokage. Those who are acknowledged are the ones who become Hokage". Then like that some days passed. There was a mourning for the Hokage and the other lives lost in the attack. After that, the clan heads and the village elders along with Jiraya held a meeting to discuss what's going to happen next.

At the meeting room in the hokage building The two advisors, Danzo, All the clan heads, Major jonins and Jiraya sat in their seats. The advisors then started speaking " The sand village has sent us their reply. They have fully surrendered as everything was instigated by Orochimaru. We have to accept their surrender as they cannot offer anything of value given their position." Everybody nodded. Then the advisors said "Konoha has lost it's Hokage. We need a leader who is trustworthy and strong. After the meeting with the daimyo, we have decided that you take the mantle as the 5th Hokage of the leaf Jiraya".

Everyone except Danzo was happy. Jiraya asked why me? Then the advisors started speaking "You are the student of the third Hokage and earned the title of Sanin. Who better than you are suitable?". At this time Danzo couldn't take it anymore. He asked "Jiraya, why did you let the Jinchuriki of the sand go? You had already captured him." Jiraya frowned and said "It was the Idea of Naruto and Sasuke helped him." Danzo then asked in an angry tone "Why didn't you stop them? They are just kids. They can't decide such matter."

The advisors then said "This is treason against the village. They let go of an enemy that we captured. Its punishable". Shukaku spoke at this time. "Yeah right! you are saying that the two ninjas who are the heroes who saved the village from the attack with minimal casualties committed treason? Its laughable". Inoichi spoke "Naruto Uzumaki escorted all the civilians to safety and Sasuke Uchiha fought the enemy shinobi bravely". Kakashi said " Both of them subdued the sand Jinchuriki together and made sure the village is not destroyed. And here some people who hid themselves are saying they comitted treason."

Listening to all of them, Danzo asked "Jiraya, they cant decide from right and wrong as they are just kids. Why didn't you stop them? It's your fault for letting the sand jinchuriki go." Danzo wanted to somehow blame Jiraya and was trying his best as he was chosen as the Hokage candidate by everyone. Jiraya laughed lous and said "Danzo..Danzo did you think I wouldn't have stopped them if I could? The answer is I couldn't stop them. Hahaha. Sasuke left Naruto to decide what to do with the jinchuriki after they subdued him. And Naruto chose to let him go. Then they both let him go. Haha"

Now everyone who hasn't witnessed the fights of Naruto and I were surprised. This time the advisors asked "What do you mean you couldn't stop a bunch of kids and let them do what they want?" Jiraya got a bit angry and said out loud " If it was just Naruto, I could have convinced him or atleast stopped him by force. But with that Sasuke helping him, I couldn't even think of opposing them." Now the Inuzuka clan head wanted to know more. She then asked "Jiraya sama do you mean to say that those kids are stronger than you?"

Jiraya nodded and said. "According to my assessment, Naruto is as strong as normal jonin. But Sasuke is definitely stronger than me. I don't know the full extent of his strength, but I'm sure that if the both of us fight for real, then I will have no chances of winning against that kid. Even now I think he's not used his full power. But the power he has shown in the war is enough to beat me easily". Shukaku said "That Sasuke used a different kind of black flame jutsu and burnt the three headed snake that Orochimaru summoned in mere seconds."

Chouza said "He created lightning out of clouds and obliterated many ninjas disregarding their level." Now Jiraya said "At the battlefield, he used a flame jutsu killing more than 100 Jonins and chunins in one shot within seconds. He has the mongekyou sharingan and created susanoo which is strong enough to hold down one tails easily. He's also proficient in a type of space time jutsu like the Forth Hokage". He might even be able to use the 'flying thunder god'. He is as good as Gai in Taijutsu. He can even open the gates. I've only seen him open upto 5 gates. but I think he can do more easily. He even immobilized Orochimaru & almost kikked him, but he escaped sacrificing the sound four with the help of Kabuto. Do you think any of us can stand a chance against him?" Asked Jiraya again.

The two advisors just stared blankly. They knew that Orochimaru was most probably stronger than Jiraya or atleast they are equal in strength. And the Third Hokage died in his hands. If Sasuke immobilized almost killed him in mere minutes, then they can assume the strength. Danzo frowned very hard. He couldn't do anything now. so he just gritted his teeth.

"Ahem" Shukaku broke the silence. The advisors then said "Jiraya about the next hokag...." Jiraya cut them off saying "If you really want a Sanin, there's one more. Tsunade is intelligent and strong enough for the spot. I'll bring her back. I'll take Naruto with me to bring her back. Any objections?" he asked. Everybody shook their heads except Danzo. then Jiraya said "Very well. I'll leave tomorrow." then the meeting was concluded.
