Vol. 1 Chapter 6 : Hungry

Liam had already emptied the den and moved towards Belle as she was looking about. "The house is clean, you may remain here. Are you hungry?" he asked.

Liam was staring her in the eyes, and she could see his attractive face clearly this time since the moon shone through the cave opening, illuminating Liam's handsome face.

She couldn't see his face before since the moon was obscured by thick dark clouds, but now that she could, she discovered he was really attractive, far more so than those Hollywood celebrities.

He had short golden hair, a tall nose, strong and deep brows, cupid lips, and large, clear eyes. When she lowered her gaze, she was greeted by rock hard abs, six packs, animal hides around his hips, and well-developed legs.

She couldn't help but recall the scene of the thick and lengthy baguette from a while ago. Isabelle blushed and felt her face heat up until Liam yanked her out of her thoughts.

"I've been asking you if you're hungry for the fifth time now," she said, shocked. She couldn't help but gulp and blush when she stared into Liam's eyes again.

"I'm kinda hungry, do you have fruits?"

'I can't eat raw meat; I'll probably die of indigestion.' Of course, they can't cook because they won't go near a fire.

"Stay here, I'll go get some" Liam turns into a big majestic Jaguar and runs out of the cave

'Conrad'

'Yes?'

'Isn't it true that they don't have any fire? But why is there light in the witch doctor's house? 'She observed the other caverns and houses were pitch black and only Galen's house had light while strolling with Liam a while ago.

'The witch doctor's house had light due to a creature called light bug. They are similar to fireflies in your world but bigger and emit more light'

'Oh so like a living lightbulb!'

'Something similar, but they die after 2-3 days, so you'll need to collect a lot of them; they're housed in a little cage, and even if you take good care of them, they'll die because they have to be in their natural environment to survive.

'I see so fire is better after all'

Liam returned with a variety of fruits and animal skins after a while. Liam stacked the fruits on top of a stone and evenly distributed the skins across the rock bed. He then walks up to Belle and lifts her up, placing her on the bed.

"I placed the fruit by the bed so you can easily get it, and there is also an additional hide for you to cover yourself when the night gets cold," Liam says, pausing briefly before continuing.

"I'm heading back, and I'll be back here tomorrow morning, so if you need anything, let me know right away."

Belle pauses for a moment before shaking her head and saying, "I don't require anything, thank you."

"OK, then, pardon me," Liam says as he lowers his head, turns around, and exits the cave.

as Belle looks at Liam's retreating back, she looked at the fruits beside her

Although it was still dark, her eyes had adjusted to the small amount of light projected by the moon within the cave. Isabelle places her lid and spatula on the bed, picks up a fruit, and smells it. 'Conrad is it edible?'

'Its edible, this fruit is like the counter part of apples in your world, it's called red ball here' Belle took the red ball and put it in her mouth, she took a small bite and chewed

'Hmm, it's like an apple, but a little less tasty; it's better than nothing, I suppose,' she said as she finished the fruit and reached for another. 'I miss my fried rice, I haven't even eaten one mouthful before I got here,' she said after finishing three red balls.

She felt guilty since she should have eaten the entire meal first if she had known she would be transported into a foreign world with limited food. She wiped the red ball remnants from her lips and spotted black ash on her wrist. she began to touch her face when she sees her hand covered in more black ash

"What the?! why is my face covered in ash?!?" she exclaimed, rubbing her face, but it just made things worse; the ash had only covered her cheeks and forehead at first, but now it had totally covered her face.

Conrad appeared in front of her and said, "Stop touching it, you'll spread it even more." She wanted to stroke his chubby cheeks but refrained because she knew he wasn't a child, and her hand was covered in ash

"And I wondered why you didn't tell that guy to provide you with some water; it appears you don't realize your face is covered in ash," Conrad said, chuckling lightly.

"Why didn't you inform me when you saw my face was covered in it?! No wonder the guards and witch doctor looked odd!"

"I assumed you knew why your face was covered when the stove burst earlier." "I'll just ask for water tomorrow," Belle said as she lay down on her bed. "I don't have the energy to move today."

Conrad walked towards the fruits and took one red ball and ate it "Not bad"

"Sleep now, you must be exhausted from all the running earlier, I'll tell you your first assignment tomorrow morning," Conrad said as he floated above her bed, leaning in close to her and then vanished into thin air with a fruit in his hand.
