Chapter 6

"Who are you, what do you want from me"

Catori asked the strange girl who just stared at her in shock.

"What do you mean; do you want to deny me after your plan failed?"

The girl asked.

"What Plan?"

"You…"

The girl seems to be controlling herself not to hit her.

"You want to hit me? Go ahead, you aren't the first"

Catori said to her before she turned around and walked away, she didn't know what scores the former Catori had with this kind of person, but now she is in this body, she won't let anyone mess with her.

"Catori, Catori, Catori"

She signed, why is it that just today she managed to step out of that creepy room, people seem to be calling her name so loudly.

"Jack, Jack, Jack"

She mimicked him.

"What is it, why are you here"

Jack asked, surprised to find her outside.

"You are supposed to be inside recuperating, what are you doing here, do you want to catch a cold, did Nana know you left..., why are you so stubborn?"

Catori rolled her eyes at him, what kind of questions is that, how was she supposed to answer that.

"Do you know that girl or did Catori know her"

Catori said pointing at the strange girl earlier who stood there watching them intently.

"You are Catori"

Jack said with disapproval laced in his voice, he thought they had agreed on this, but she keeps denying herself, if Nana knows about this, she will be heartbroken.

"Ok ok, do you know her?"

Catori said, curious to know who the fairy is and what she got to do with her.

"She is your friend"

"Friend..."

"Or should I say, former friend, you guys were like twins then, but I don't know what happened back then, you guys separated and became worst enemies, you refuse to say a word about what transpired between you two"

Jack explained to her, Catori became curious, what would make her and this fairy in devil clothing fight, well its obvious, nobody would want to be friends with such a person, she snorted.

"What are you thinking?"

Jack said hitting her slighting on her head.

"Do you know what happened between the... I mean between us"

Catori asked.

"I think it was because of a guy…"

"What!...a guy?"

"Yes, that apart, what are you doing here, you are supposed to be inside"

"Am here for some fresh air, I can't be cooped inside that tiny space all day, am going to suffocate"

"Does Nana know you are here?"

'No"

'what, why didn't you tell you, she will be worried about you"

"She was sleeping when I left..."

"Even at that, you could have drooped a note"

"What's a note?"

Jack stared at her in puzzlement; he is really tired of her silly questions.

"Let's go"

He said and walked away towards the direction of their house dragging her along, they past the strange girl and Catori smirked at her, she is going to make sure she pays for embarrassing her today.

They soon got to their house, lol and behold Nana is still sleeping.

"She must be tired"

Catori said and walked towards the bed covering Nana with the a blanket, she felt blissful in her heart, in her previous life, she had no mother, she didn't get the chance to experience being taken care of by a mother, she was so lonely to the extent that even the butterflies became her closest friends, she will come to the outer garden of the palace every evening to talk with her friends, that was until she met him, he became her butterflies, the reason she snapped out of her loneliness, he became the reason she would smile more often without the need to, as the thoughts of her previous life flooded through her memories, tears streamed down her face.

"Catori, are you okay, you are crying"

Jack asked in confusion, a minute ago she was so full of energy and ready to explore the world and now she is crying so miserly, he walked up to her and hugged her.

"Am fine, you wouldn't believe me if I tell you…."

"I will'

He said. She turned to look at him and smiled, she excused herself and walked out of the room, she doesn't want to trust anybody now, but she know she now trust Nana and Jack and she just hope they don't break her heart. She got back into the house and found Nana already awake.

"Nana, how is your rest, hope you had enough sleep..."

"Of course dear, how do you feel now?"

"I feel good; I would be fully recovered in a few days..."

"Remember you have to go to the hospital for your injection"

Jack reminded her kindly but she rolled her eyes in return.

"I know, you don't have to remind me countless times Okay"

'Okay okay"

Jack said smiling; glad she has gone back to her normal self.

"Jack, how is your mother"

Nana asked, she knew the woman would be really worried about Catori; she has to make out the time to go see her soon.

"School will resume next week, hope by then you would be fully recovered so that we can go together on the first day"

Jack said to Catori who just nodded absent minded.

"Catori, were you listening to me"

"Emmmm, what did you say…"

"Sign, why are you always in a daze these past few days you regained consciousness, what are you always thinking"

"Nothing, I was just distracted for a moment, what did you say"

"I said school is resuming soon, and this is the final session before college, we have to read hard in order to gain scholarship to the best college in the city"

"What's school?"

Catori asked puzzled, why he always used strange words for her"

"Sign…, dear you don't have to bother about that, you were never good with books by the way…"

"Oh, I have been best with books since I was born; I was able to recite the imperial degre off heart, that my imperial father and the elder's mouth were open in school for a very long time"

Catori said interrupting Nana, Jack and Nana stared at her with mouth wide opened.
