Chapter 2

"What's wrong"

They both said together, however with different meanings, what Catori meant by her question is that she thought he meant he knew why she was here and how she ended up here, Nana on the other hand is thinking that he meant he knew why she was behaving strangely immediately she woke up, both of them stared at him expecting to hear the answer in their heart that is bothering them greatly.

"I think she has amnesia"

Jack said and Catori rolled her eyes at him, ' amnesia, who is he kidding' she was thinking he would say something tangible that can make her have a grasp of where she is but instead he said amnesia.

"What is amnesia, my child"

Nana who seems like she doesn't know the meaning of amnesia asked.

"She lost her memory, she don't remember anybody or anything from the past "

Jack explained patiently to Nana.

"What, she don't remember me, poor child, you have to remember me, else.... this poor heart wouldn't be able to survive...sob..sob..., you are the only one I have left"

"I don't have amnesia or whatever it is called, i remember my past clearly and one thing that is certain is that I don't belong here..."

Catori wanted to continue but realized the old lady face kept changing at her words and it looks like she might burst into tears soon, forget it then, at least she realized she is still alive but in a place far away from her kingdom, she decided she should just rest and when the pain on her head eased down, she will find her way home.

"Alriightl, please I want to rest now, can you guys give me some space"

"Okay, dear Nana will give you some space to rest okay"

The old lady said while looking at her with a pitiful gaze, Jack just stood there lost in thought, catori was somehow different from before, he observed how she talked and her voice was cold, catori never spoke to anyone like that before, she always has that friendly gaze and charming smile on her face, but now, though it is the same face it just feels like it is a completely different person, he stood still observing her movement, the way she carried herself was not like her usual self, it felt like she is difficult to approach.

The both of them decided to give her some space to rest since she was indeed tired, they sat at a chair at the corner of the room while watching her, Catori was dumbfounded, what was this,

"Are you guys staying here, I said.."

"Of course, where else are we gonna stay if not here"

Jack said slightly irritated at the way she was behaving. Catori just signed and faced the other side of the bed, she hoped she won't wake up again or if she does she wouldn't find herself in this house but at her kingdom at a reversed time. No matter how hard she tried, Catori couldn't fall asleep, the scene from before she died kept replaying on her head, she groaned in pain, her head hurt.

"What is it, where do you feel pain"

Nana anxious voice sounded and Catori suddenly sreamed in pain before she fainted on the spot. Nana turned to Jack shock clearly written on her face

"Catori...s..he. what"

"Nana, now is not the time for that, we need to get her to the hospital real quick"

"Yes yes, we need to get her there now, hurry up and lift her, I will go find a taxi"

Nana said and ran outside staggeredly, she was flustered, Jack signed and turned to Catori, somehow he felt it wasn't her, but he couldn't understand himself, this is her, why does he have this feeling that this is not the Catori he knew, he signed, he walked to the bed and bend to her level to check her body condition and was shocked, she was burning up, not the normal temperature a human is supposed to have, but she was fine a moment ago, what happened. He lifted her up immediately and ran outside, Nana has already called a cab, they hurried to the city hospital, even if they couldn't afford it, they can think of that later, but right now what is the most important is her life. Soon they got to the hospital, he lifted her up in a bridal style and rushed into the hospital, he met the receptionist at the front desk and asked her anxiously.

"Where is the emergency ward, she needs to be attended to right now"

The nurse just stared at them checking them out, she was apparently confused if they could afford the bills.

"You have to fill a form first, before you can get an appointment"

"Is it necessary, it's an emergency for crying out loud"

Jack was so frustrated that he felt like hitting her, what in, is an emergency that she don't understand. He ignored her and proceeded upstairs, still carrying Catori on his arms,the receptionist wanted to stop him, but nana stopped her, he heaved a sign of relief when he noticed she wasn't following him,

"What kind of hospital is this, are patient here always treated like this"

He muttered to himself. people around were just staring at them when he was arguing with the receptionist, not even stepping in to helo. He hurried upstairs to any ward he could see, before he could enter a ward, he melt a nurse who stopped him and thankfully she didn't ask him pyramids of questions but just said.

"Bring her in"

She followed the nurse into a hospital room and placed catori on the only bed in the room. The nurse proceeded to check her temperature.

"I will go get a doctor sir, please wait here for me"

"Wait, what's wrong with her, didn't you just check her now, why is her temperature so high"

Jack asked anxiously, scared of the unknown.

"Sir, you need to calm down, I will go get a doctor now, my advice is this, in situation like this, the first thing you do is not to panic but to think of a remedy"

"OK thanks, go get the doctor please"

The nurse left the room and after awhile a doctor walked in.

"What is wrong with her"

He asked as he walked towards her to check on her, he noticed that her body was literally burning.

"She has fever and her temperature has exceed what a normal human being could bear, its a wonder she is still breathing"

"Doctor please save my daughter, she is my only family left please"

It was unknown when Nana came into the room or how much she heard.

"Of course, I will do that, but you have to make a deposit of hundred thousand dollars first before we start treatment"

"What "

Both Nana and jack shouted at the same time, where where they supposed to get hundred thousand dollars from, they can't even boast of ten thousand dollars.

"Doctor please, save my child please"

Nana fell in her knees as she begged the doctor, crying and rolling on the floor.

"There is nothing I can do about it ma'am, this is a hospital, please lower your voice you are disturbing other patients.

"Please sir, you have to save her, please"

Jack joined in, the doctor got irritated by their noise and couldn't remain polite.

"You are disturbing other patients, if you can't afford it, am calling security now"

"I will pay"

A deep masculine voice sounded in the room.
