Calix sat on the side of the street, completely unhappy. It feels like he already ran around the neighborhood but still couldn't find Ash.
He already tried to visit the nearby veterinary clinics, but Ash wasn't there. It made him more gloomy that his eyes were about to tear up.
That tears went back when his phone rang. He caught a glimpse of the time on his screen. It's already 5:30 in the afternoon.
It was an unknown call from someone. Come to think of it, he put his contact number on Ash collar's pedal. Calix sprang up and answered the call without any hesitations. "Hello? Yes?" His voice was a little shaky.
It took him a second before he heard the voice from the other line. "Hi, are you Ash's owner? I happened to see him in the middle of the road with his injured front paw."
Calix completely sunk. His shoulder shrugged, devastated. Hearing that Ash was injured, he became speechless.
