World 2.26

Wei Shin faced the window for the fifth time of the day, the flashbacks from last night are still fresh inside his mind. He couldn't believe at first that Prince Xiao Zhen would become that desperate for Prince Yuzuo's love. The hatred that he was feeling at first turned to pity and sympathy, Xiao Zhen wanted to be loved after all. 

Three knocks behind the door interrupted the quiet atmosphere around Wei Shin, Qi Feng entered the room with his heavy footsteps. As usual, he bowed beside Zi Yuzuo's bed to give respect. 

"What are you thinking? It seems like you are drowning in deep thoughts…" Qi Feng commented as he approached the male who was still facing the opened window. 

"Can I do it?" 

Qi Feng quickly turned his gaze to Wei Shin, there was a sudden expression on his face. "It's dangerous" he said

Wei Shin made a half smile "He's always saving me, so what's the point of running away from danger? He needed me and only me" he leaned his forehead closer to the window and lowered his sight "He's my master and my saviour"

Qi Feng stayed silent, he tried to suppress the feeling that was poking inside his chest. Wei Shin already made the decision, by entering Zi Yuzuo's subconsciousness. Wei Shin wanted to take Prince Yuzuo back alive from his deep sleep and he had no right to stop him. 

"Shin," his voice was calm yet heavy. "The truth is, Prince Yuzuo was the one who put the black curse to himself" he voiced out.

'INFORMATION WAS FOUND!'

The hologram showed up and then it stopped the time between Qi Feng and Wei Shin so that Jinli would understand what happened back then.

'Prince Yuzuo wasn't strong enough, he was the cold and heartless Prince in front of everyone beside the daylight, but when the moon already showed up, he was the fragile one. He was alone, his uncle killed his parents and so he is. His uncle sent some men during the empire war to sabotage Prince Yuzuo secretly, but they didn't succeed. He experienced so many traumas that triggered him everyday,including trusting people. He was suffering in silence where he felt that he was going to lose his mind. Zi Yuzuo was full of anxiety and depression, longing for his parents, tired of believing in lies.

Desperate of living in his own sadness, Zi Yuzuo let his heart be corrupted by a black curse. His heart was chained forever, until his body and soul rotted. He then became completely emotionless, forgetting the feeling of being alone forever.'

The hologram disappeared.

Qi Feng on the other hand was silent, his eyes were full of pity. He didn't know if this was the right time to tell Wei Shin about this but if the male wanted to save the Prince, at least he needed to know why he turned out like this.

"I wanted to save him back then" Qi Feng uttered "But I couldn't even do a single thing for him" he faced the marble floor, "I'm sorry, Shin…"

Wei Shin was left in a daze, he knew how painful it was for Qi Feng. He can feel how the male's heart is shattering right now. The two of them were always together since they were young and Qi Feng was always looking up to Zi Yuzuo as his Prince. 

Qi Feng dropped down on the chair near the window, explaining everything "When we were young, he was always  crying inside his room every night," a heavy emotion was buried in his sentence. "I couldn't do anything so I will just wait outside the door until he stops, then I will give him a glass of water." 

His voice cracked "That's the only thing I can do for him...he was longing for his parents every night, wondering where did things go wrong... "

Wei Shin saw how Qi Feng trembled "F-Feng?" He tried to reach out a hand to pat the male's hair but he was surprised when he heard a sob.

"The Prince was very kind and pure, yet everyone wanted to kill him…" Qi Feng inhaled a deep sigh, trying to sweep the emotions away. 

Wei Shin gazed at the male who was unconscious in the bed, he knew that even Prince Yuzuo was asleep, he could hear how Qi Feng cherished him. His knight did every single thing to protect him, until now he was longing for the happiness of the Prince.

He reached out for Qi Feng and gave him a hug, while brushing his back to lessen the sobs "You can cry to me, Feng" he whispered "You've done enough to the Prince, I'm sure he will come back…" It made Qi Feng look up to him but you can still see his swollen eyes.

Wei Shin gave him a languid smile "I will bring him back," he said

In the middle of the garden, near the round fountain. A gazebo was made in a hexagonal shape, the thick sides were made of wood with royal carvings, the roof was enough to cover the body laying down on the white soft bed with flowers on the sides. 

The vines of the flowers are crawling freely around the floor while it is distributing its scented smells. The sleeping body of the Prince was put there to avoid any disturbance, Wei Shin was the one who decided it.

"Is this really okay? Do you need anything else?" Qi Feng, who was arranging the flowers beside Prince's Yuzuo's hair asked.

"No, it's fine...I don't know what will happened after I kiss him so this place is better" he said, he walked closer to the Prince's bed and smiled "You better prepared yourself, Master...I will come for you" he said

[He was so handsome, like a real sleeping beauty waiting for me to kiss him]

In the middle of their atmosphere, the second hand of the commander,Yunmei trudged towards them. He faced Wei Shin with his restless and anxious expression, "Come with me for a minute"

Wei Shin was surprised when Yunmei pulled his wrist "Y-Yunmei? What's wrong?" he asked between shock and confusion. The male didn't respond immediately, instead he seized Wei Shin's hand more and mumbled "I need to tell you something…"

Although Wei Shin was surprised, Yunmei didn't waste time dragging the male to a quiet area of the garden, only the two of them.

"Yunmei, What's wrong?" Wei Shin asked after noticing the male's action, walking back and forth. "Yunmei?"

Wei Shin was stunned when Yunmei grasped both of his shoulders. "Are you really going to do it?" he asked, shaking voice

It made the other male speechless, he can feel the trembling hands on his shoulders. Wei Shin looked up and locked his eyes on the male. "Yunm---" he was startled when he saw a pair of sad eyes 

"Don't go…" Yunmei mumbled 

Wei Shin quickly yanked away from the male "What?!" he bawled out "What's wrong with you?" he asked

Yunmei suddenly fell silent, even though he also couldn't explain the strange feeling that was lingering in him every time he's with Wei Shin. He was suddenly nervous and sweaty, his chest was thumping hard as if it wanted to get out of his body.

He can feel it, even though they only spent a little time together, he knew that Wei Shin was important to him. "Shin," it was the first time for him to call his name.

"S-Shin," Yunmei lowered his head and resisted the tension by gritting his teeth. "Shin, I like you!" he blurted out. He embraced the male unconsciously and squeezed him tight "I don't want to lose you, if you tried to sacrifice yourself I don't know if I will ever see you again…" his voice started to cracked 

Wei Shin felt the heartwarming flow of the air between the emotions that was bestowed to him. He hugged the male in return and brushed his back, "I'm sorry…" he whispered

His words caused Yunmei to let go "What do you mean?' he asked

Wei Shin bit his lower lip "I couldn't say it" he thought. Because he was already feeling the sorrow in Yunmei's eyes,the unexplainable sadness was crushing him and it's so hard to resist. 

"Yunmei, I'm sorry but I can't like you…"

The moment he spilled the words, Yunmei turned around. "I see…" he mumbled. When Wei Shin was going to approach him once more, he instantly reacted "Stop.."

Wei Shin was taken aback and pulled his arms back beside his waist. Yunmei was a good guy, but everything in this world wasn't for Wei Shin. His memories with Yunmei played inside his thoughts, it started to get into him. It made his heart heavy and stiff, sadness overtook his body.

"Yunmei, Thank you…"

Yunmei felt the last words, it jolted inside his shattering heart differently. He looked up, trying to resist the cold tears forming beside his eyes. "Please go, and don't ever look back…" he mumbled. 

Wei Shin nodded behind him, he turned around with his heavy footsteps and walked away.

Yunmei slid down on his knees when he felt that he was alone, the tears he was holding back started to flow and caressed his cheeks. Sobs escaped his lips, letting out everything. He looked down and didn't stop himself, he cried until the pain disappeared.
