"Jiang Rui?"

"Can you hear me?"

"Hold on! Jiang Rui"

The white ceiling welcomed his eyes the moment he blinked from his unconsciousness, a disinfectant scent invaded his nostrils. Jiang Rui tried to move but the pain in his head quickly throb his nerves. He groaned in pain, twitching his eyelids.

A warm palm tapped his forehead "Finally! Your fever went down" a familiar voice said

Jiang Rui turned to his right and saw Qui Yuan with a very worried expression on his face, the male quickly called the doctor to check him up. After examining his body, Qui Yuan and the doctor headed outside to talk privately.

After a minute, Qui Yuan came back with bags on his hands, he put it all on the table. He took the seat beside Jiang Rui's bed "What happened to you?" he straightly asked

Jiang Rui averted his eyes, clenching his fist secretly under the blanket "I-It's none of your b-business" he uttered

The other male scratched the back of his head "Jiang Rui, I saw you down the streets yesterday--"

Jiang Rui sprang up "Yesterday?!" he exclaimed in surprise

"Pfftt.." Qui Yuan chuckled "Why are you so surprised? I've been watching over you since yesterday, I even slept here because I'm so worried about you" he snorted

'BREAKMETER RAISED TO 40%'

Jiang Rui couldn't help himself from blushing so hard after hearing Qui Yuan's explanation. He was stunned and overwhelmed by all his senses. While Qui Yuan secretly smirked after noticing the breakmeter.

Jiang Rui turned away "You..You didn't have to do that.." he whispered

Qui Yuan stood up, he went to the table. He took an apple and then he cut it in half "Here..eat this" he said, reaching the half of apple to the male on bed

Jiang Rui just stared at the apple on Qui Yuan's hand so the male pulled his wrist and put the apple onto his palm "I know that you are so cold-hearted, but I'm doing this because we're friends and I'm caring about you, so please don't push my help away" Qui Yuan said

Jiang Rui went silent for a minute, then he looked back at the other male who was busy peeling an orange. He lowered his head "T-Thank you.." he mumbled

Qui Yuan paused, then he grinned "No need to thank me, you can be yourself when you are with me" he replied

Badum...Badum...Badum..

Jiang Rui heard it loud and clear, the words from the male deafen him in an instant, only his pondering heart was dominating his ears. Echoing inside over and over again. His eyes dilated in surprise as it widened, he couldn't stop it from tearing up. He tried to hold it back.

"Jiang Rui?!!! Why are you sniffing?!! Are you crying?!" Qui Yuan panicked in a second after hearing the male sniff, but Jiang Rui was fast enough to lay back and cover himself.

"Idiot Yuan" he whispered under the blanket

'Omoo!! It's so cute! He was like a cold-hearted top with a soft spot, kyaahh!! My gosh! I'm guessing that he is wild in bed..ehehehe'

Jinli was fantasizing some smut scenes inside her mind continuously, she was so excited to go home and read another BL book. But then, he remembered that her exams were near and she needed to review as Qui Yuan.

[Can I just ditch School?]

DICCU: You can't...this is not your world and besides, Qui Yuan was a top student

[Fine, Fine]

The following day, Qui Yuan brought all of his books and notes to the hospital. While the nurse changed Jiang Rui's head bandage.

"Is your brain still there?" he asked as he handed a book to Jiang Rui

Jiang Rui frowned "What kind of question is that?" he snorted

Qui Yuan opened the book and sat beside Jiang Rui, while the male moved gently to give him space "It's because we are having our exam next week, so I'm asking you if you still have space in your head to take the lessons" he said carelessly, underlining some key words

"I-I can study on my own.."

Qui Yuan squinted his eyes, giving Jiang Rui a suspicious look "You can't, your books are all ripped apart on the streets, don't worry! Leave everything to me! I will help you to caught up" he said proudly

Jiang Rui found it funny but he didn't let the male see his expression, he continued to scan the book that was given by the male. It is indeed true that Qui Yuan already pointed out the key words and the important ideas. He looked at the male again, and based on the black bags under his eyes and yawning from time to time, Jiang Rui guessed that Qui Yuan stayed up all night just doing this all for him. Somehow, he felt something inside his stomach.

Qui Yuan noticed that Jiang Rui was looking at him so hard, he felt embarrassed so he poked the male's head using the high-ligter pen he was holding "Focus! Don't blame me if you got a low score" he said as an excuse

The two study and brainstorm till night, Qui Yuan even scolds Jiang Rui for ditching his medicine. He was watching him from time to time to make sure that he would get all of the ideas he prepared.

Jiang Rui was so serious about it, it's true that he doesn't have his books anymore and it was so kind of Qui Yuan to share everything with him. He never had someone in his life like him. While he was finishing the last part for the one subject, his gaze secretly went to the male who was sitting beside the table. He was stunned when he found out that Qui Yuan was already sleeping soundly.

Jiang Rui looked at him, he found himself smiling just by looking at Qui Yuan's sleeping face. His face was calm and gentle in the eyes. He slowly removed the books and closed the opened ones, arranging the table carefully.

Jiang Rui noticed Qui Yuan's hair blocking his eyes, he was hesitant at first but he still managed to tuck it in the male's ears. His fingers slipped down to Qui Yuan's cheeks, it was pale and smooth. Jiang Rui bent over closer to him, he was so amazed by how his skin looked like a woman.

The aroma coming from Qui Yuan's hair went to Jiang Rui's nose, he then smelled the male's shampoo. He was so drawn into the scent that he wanted to touch Qui Yuan's hair.

Sleeping Qui Yuan squinted his eyes while sleeping, Jiang Rui immediately dashed to his bed. Clenching his chest, hiding the uncontrollable heartbeat to Qui Yuan.
