Chapter 3

(AN: Time skip in this one.)

The Next Day

Kazuki had woken up with a smile on his face.

Yesterday after reading that letter, he instantly awakened his quirk.

It turns out, his quirk was Elemental Manipulation.

Kazuki lifted his right arm up and suddenly, a small fire had been lit in his palms.

Kazuki waved his hands around and the fire moved to his will.

"So...cool..." Kazuki said while his breathing started to become heavy.

Sweat had started to flow down his forehead as he kept using his quirk.

Kazuki then raised his left arm and a ball of water had started floating his palm.

But just as this happened, both his fire and the ball of water in his hands had disappeared instantly.

"Huff*...Huff*..." Kazuki was breathing heavily as he was covered with sweat.

After a few minutes of regaining his strength back, Kazuki was looking at both his hands.

"So far, I have noticed I could control 4 Elements. Fire, Water, Earth, and Air. In the future, I might be able to use way more than this. It also looks like my power won't harm me in any way and I might even develop resistance towards these elements but that still needs to be proven..."

"But there is a big weakness for it. Using this power requires a tremendous amount of stamina. Something I don't have right now."

Kazuki's hands balled up into a fist and an excited smile appeared on his face.

"But that can be fixed. I don't want to have a weakness somebody can exploit in the future so I'll have to work hard from now on."

Kazuki decided he would have to start training as fast as possible.

"Although I can gain stamina, I also want to learn how to fight better. I may know how to throw a punch from my experience in my past life, but if I go up against someone with skill, I'll probably lose."

"But I don't have any money to go to training expert..." Kazuki was helpless.

Kazuki got up and shrugged, 'Guess I'll just have to find a different way to improve my fighting skill.'

Kazuki then went toward the body mirror that was next to the shower which had a curtain covering it.

In this small house, there were 2 mirrors. The one he used earlier was placed on the wall next to the front door.

Kazuki looked at himself and realized why he didn't have any stamina. He was super skinny. Not an ounce of fat or muscle was in his body.

Currently, Kazuki was wearing a white muscle shirt and black shorts. You think he would at least be able to do some physical activity.

Due to his poor household, he wouldn't be able to eat as much. But he had grown accustomed to this since young.

"Damn... He might be skinnier than me in my past life."

Kazuki then looked at the small clock that was on the wall.

It was currently, 7:30 am.

"Should I even attend school?" Kazuki was in a little dilemma.

It was Monday, so it was a school day.

'The way I see it, the only way I can improve my quirk to the maximum is if I enter U.A High School. I also know the future events thanks to watching the anime series so I could prevent, change it so I can come out unscathed, or even use it to my advantage so I can become a top hero and become wealthy."

The new Akiyama Kazuki had become a selfish man in his past life. He only cared about himself and his future. His rough life had only increased his desire to become wealthy and live the way he wanted.

And now that he had power, he could fasten the progress of his goal than without it.

The other main reason he wanted to attend U.A was that he didn't have to pay a dime if he made it through the Entrance Exams.

'But if I go to school now, I could inform the faculty that I just awakened a strong quirk and that might pave way for me to enter U.A High.'

'But it also might be found out that I was abandon and I might be sent to an orphanage...'

Kazuki was weighing his options. He wanted to become rich but he also didn't want to join a family. He couldn't and didn't want to call someone else his mother, and his father was dead to him ages ago...

Kazuki sighed, "I'll just explain that my quirk manifested and tell the truth about being abandoned. I'm still physically a child so I don't know what I could do..."

Kazuki then took a quick cold shower since there wasn't any hot water in this place. It seems even the gas bills were unpaid, but it didn't bother him. He would often bathe in colder places in his previous life when he was basically, homeless.

After showering, Kazuki changed into his black gakuran uniform and grabbed a hair clip from this body's mother's accessories collection so he could stop his long hair from getting in the way.

"I really need a haircut," Kazuki said as he was looking at himself in the body mirror. He then grabbed his bag and left for school.

Once outside, he looked at the place he was just in and saw how bad the place looked. Although it was made from bricks, it didn't look stable. Even the neighborhood houses looked in better condition.

"Damm, I'm really poor..." Kazuki said under his breath.

The street he lived in was a narrow alley the led to the main sidewalk.

It took about 10-15 minutes to get to his school.

As he was walking toward his school, Kazuki found the city he lived in to look very familiar.

It was when he made it at the school front gates that he understood why this city looked so familiar.

The city he was living in was in Musutafu, Japan. And the school he was attending was Aldera Junior High.

'Isn't this the school of the main character and that loudmouth...'

As he was looking at the school outside the gate, he suddenly felt someone bump into him.

He had no muscle in his body so he was pushed pretty hard but Kazuki managed to stop himself from falling face-first into the ground.

"Move it, quirkless boy!" A fat kid said while laughing with his friends as they were making their way inside the school.

Kazuki was angry but he didn't act recklessly.

'These fucking kids...' Kazuki cursed internally.

Although they were kids, Kazuki would still give them a beating. He didn't care if they were immature, he didn't like being fucked with.

The only reason he didn't do anything, all options would've resulted in him getting the most punishment.

He was a quirkless boy in everyone's eyes so that reason is more than enough. The other was, they all had a superhuman ability so he might've been the one in the losing end if they all ganged up, on him. The last reason was that if he used his quirk, he would get tired immediately since he recently received his power.

Kazuki then entered the school as he heard some other kids laughing at him but he didn't care one bit.

Inside the building, Kazuki didn't go to his class but went to the teacher faculty office. He wanted to update his quirk registration form so it could show he wasn't quirkless.

Once in front of the faculty office, Kazuki knocked on the door.

The sliding door opened and a muscle man in a red jersey and track pants showed himself.

Once he looked at Kazuki, he clicked his teeth.

"Akiyama, shouldn't you be in homeroom by now! I'm your homeroom teacher so I will not allow any truancy to take place!" His loud voice rang through the hall. He wasn't even hiding his annoyance either.

Kazuki wasn't fazed by him. He had met worse people than him before.

'This school is really crappy...' Kazuki thought to himself.

"Yes, I know I should be in class but I have some news I would like to share," Kazuki replied with indifference.

The homeroom teacher was a little surprised, 'This kid is not acting like his usual self. Did he hit his head or something?'

The old Akiyama Kazuki used to be a very shy boy with a timid personality. It wasn't like this before, but due to his severe bullying, it was only bound to happen.

The teacher crossed his arms, "What is it, speak."

Kazuki didn't talk and just raised his right arm and made a small fire appear. He started waving it around for a few seconds before he made it disappear since he didn't want to be out of breath.

The homeroom teacher was shocked, "H-How..."

"I awakened my quirk a day ago. It turns out, I'm a later bloomer..."

After a few seconds, the homeroom teacher regained his state of mind and his attitude immediately changed.

"Great! I always knew you were bound to be incredible! Hahaha... If you're telling me this now, then that means you want to update your quirk registration form?"

Kazuki showed a fake smile, "Of course."

The homeroom teacher then went back to his office before coming back with a form with his signature on it. He then handed it to Kazuki.

"Here you go, lad. You just have to take that to the City Hall and they'll update it for you. You might have to take some physical tests but it will be settled after then." The homeroom teacher said wholeheartedly.

Kazuki took the form and faked appreciation, "Thanks." He then left back to his classroom.

As he was heading back, Kazuki thought, 'I wonder if I'll need a guardian to accompany me?'

Kazuki then shrugged as whatever happened, he'll just say the truth about that woman that abandon him.

-----

A Few Months Later.

Kazuki was sweating profusely as he had just finished his morning workout routine at a park.

These past few months were in his favor.

After updating his quirk registration form and performing a few tests, it was found out Kazuki was able to manipulate 3 more elements other than fire. He deliberately showed his 4 main elements since it didn't matter if the heroes or the government knew this and it will save a lot of explaining if he were to use it while keeping it secret later.

He was still going to train as he knew this wasn't the only elements he could use.

He was later approached by a government official after it became known he had been abandon. Although he would normally be sent to an orphanage, his abilities were bound to be strong in the future.

So the government gave him a deal after finding out about his poor situation. Either be sent to an orphanage or be part of a program where he would be nurtured into one of the top heroes of Japan. It would be better for him to become a hero than fall into the side of villains.

If Kazuki accepted the latter, he would be getting new housing, compensation, and training for his future.

Kazuki accepted in a heartbeat. This deal was too good. Most of his problems would be dealt with and the best part was that he could live alone after they saw how mature he acted.

In school, Kazuki became well talked about. The quirkless boy who managed to defeat fate. Many rumors were going around about him.

His bullies also apologized and were even trying to get on his good side.

Kazuki didn't care about them. They were still immature children in his eyes, even though he wasn't even 20 in his past life...

Back to the present, Kazuki had just finished his morning workout routine. He needed to get home to take a shower so he could head to school.

He was currently wearing a white t-shirt and some grey sweat pants. His body had become way more muscular and lean thanks to his training and his stamina had improved tremendously.

He could now control all 4 known elements for a few minutes. His control over them had also improved, especially for each element. He had a long way to go, but his journey was only starting.

5 minutes later, he arrived at an apartment complex. This was his new home after moving from his old place.

After entering the building, he went to his apartment room and entered.

It was a modern-style apartment with a wooden layout. There were 2 rooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom. He had good furniture that combined well with his apartment.

Compared to his old place, this was luxurious.

All in all, Kazuki was satisfied. But his goal hadn't wavered. He was still selfish and wanted more. And in the future, he was going to accomplish this goal.

(AN: I really don't like long-time-skips, but it needs to happen. Also, I know MC didn't meet any of the main cast so it will be explained next chapter. I was also having trouble looking for a quirk, but let me know what you think? )
