34 Zhou An

"Why?" Zhou An is not naive enough to think this is all free.

"Because I need a play mate for my sister. She is so bored lately." Amelia said with a serious tone.

Zhou An didn't believe a word from her mouth, she norted coldly and spoke. "If you don't want to talk don't talk, why so much nonsense?"

"Are you willing to take my help or not?" Amelia asked.

"What kind of help?"

"I will enhance your family soldiers power level, their potential so that they will be able to reach even higher levels in the future. Most importantly, I will increase your mental strength. It might not seem important now but this is very important to improve levels in the future, I'm talking beyond level 10."

"I will ensure that everyone whom you deem fit awakens a super power. Everyone. Think about it, all the people want to have abilities. How many people will flock to your army if you can help them awaken?"

This is also the main point that made Liang Mei able to rope in so many people. Her fruit can assist those with spirit root to awaken directly after eating. The solders have people they want to help gain super powers so of course they will go to Liang Mei.

"The people working for your family must have weak family members and friends they want to protect. Buy their eternal devotion this way. If you do this, even if they die, they will never betray your family."

Zhou An's breathing became hurried. "Do you really have the same way like that woman? She can assist people to awaken their powers. This is why my family has been scolding me and treating me like I have made an enemy with a big boss, can you believe it?" Zhou An said.

"No, Liang Mei has a way to allow someone born with the possibility to awaken to be able to awaken and then improve their constitution allowing them to become very powerful with less effort." Amelia explained

"Then...what can you do?" Zhou An felt like her world is crashing down. She still held on some hope and asked.

"I can help people awaken too. But I also have a way to help those born without this possibility to choose an ability they want. This will not come cheap mind you." The other girl stood up and shook her hand in excitement.

Because her family was very powerful before the Apocalypse they all survived and now they are all here but most don't have abilities which sometimes make her unfaithful father very dissatisfied with the members of his in laws family. But as the spoiled princess whom everyone loves, she wished for all her family members to be powerful.

Sometimes the mistress her father keeps outside is even more brazen because she has water abilities that are said to be useless. Her mother is always sad and crying. Her brother can not restrain her father either.

"First you need to sign this. It is to ensure you don't release my name or betray me in the future." She took out a contract.

"That is great. In the future I can send you the items and they wont rot. It can keep things fresh right?"

"Good. I will see you in four days. Don't go out and don't show these things to anyone for now. What power does your mother want to have?"

Zhou An looked puzzled. "She wants to have any power as long as she is no longer useless in my father's eyes."

"I will come to check her potential to awaken if it is true then I will awaken her power, if she doesn't, she can just choose an ability she wants. Remember I want money from you and whatever army you raise."

"Yeah, you are so money grabbing." Zhou An didn't care about it. She just wanted to be safe from that vicious Mei. She understands her father will not protect her if it means being directly opposing the all powerful Liang Mei. Amelia doesn't know but she showed up in time. She was really loosing her mind feeling like her father who doted on her is very disappointed with her.

In truth it wouldn't matter if Liang Mei wasn't so dangerous. Although she is not around for now, she has already amassed over 800 powered people from other families and all the people are being very careful with Liang Mei in the base.

Amelia went to sleep in her room in the main base. It is a peaceful sleep. She went to check on the progress on the construction of her outer city. Three more districts need to be constructed and then a new round of windows, floor heating and built in furniture will be installed.

The plant type people are using the wood to shape cabinets and wardrobes just like assembly workers. They are following the designs each king gave them for their relative districts. Each district has added a few unique features such as sports fields, swimming pools and theaters.

Hearing the return of internet, the many long forgotten professions resurfaced such as internet celebrities and movie directors. There is still a long way to go of course but seeing the complete theater and large screens inside the base, it won't take too much time before the world is connected again.

Amelia walked on the base market and saw a beautiful woman with a beautiful green dress flocked by maids around her as she shops around pointing and the bodyguards would take the things, pay, and cary them for her.

"She is this month's favorite. It must be nice having a private pool in the balcony and a jacuzzi in the house. Those balconies are covered in thick glass and can be heated. Who is able to live such a life these days. The base leader is really spoiling these shameless women." A person said with thick jealousy in her tone.

"Yeah, my husband has been visiting that place too. I was so angry but then do you know what he said? He said he only goes there for the massage....ghosts will believe him."

"Can you believe a pill made them like that? The leader is really mighty. I want to eat a miracle pill that will make me 20 years younger too." A woman said also looking the young woman with envy.

The woman saw the person and her smile got even bigger. "Qing Ning. How is your husband? I just saw him last night, he is still so vigorous." She said and left.

This is her good friend who pushed her husband into a group of zombies when they escaped from their villa area. She loved her husband but he didn't cherish her when he was still alive he had mistresses everywhere and she was lonely and bitter at home. This neighbor is one of the women she saw sleeping with her husband even though she was already married.

The older woman touched her face and felt the wrinkles there and looking at the stunning Niang whose husband she used to sleep with in their own home, she felt her eyes sting and tears poured down. Her own husband is now cheating on her. She is no longer a wealthy daughter whom he has to carry favor with so his business will strive.

He is one of the people running the underground arena and has his own influence. She is the one who needs his influence now. She felt helpless.

Amelia watched the show and then teleported to old Mo's office. "You don't knock anymore." Old Mo said with a helpless expression.

"Update me on the various bases."

"No hello just straight to business. In any case I have sent tens of monitoring cameras all over the bases. The B base, the G base, the Jiang city base and the central base have come together to pull their resources so they can fight."

"Good. It is the right time for me to sneak in the facilities of the Qin factories and copy the design and data."

"After Zhou Li saw the video she gave me this, she said all I need to do it insert it in the computer and it will give her smart bracelet access to all the data. It just needs to be inserted for ten minutes without disturbances, this is a signal jammer so they don't call back up. Are you really doing this yourself?"

"I am the best soldier we have. If there's a problem I can flee." Taking the usb she left and appeared on the crumbled ground where the test was being conducted.

It is at night now but the man in the video is still in the computer. She went towards the forest and released a fragrance that beasts will not be able to resist. A few minutes and the earth trembled as many animals ran to the factory.

Amelia put a signal jammer before hiding away.

"What is going on? We cannot be disturbed. Whatever it is handle it quickly." The man shouted as the soldiers took him away from his work and dragged him into an underground safe house.

"I need to finish my work."

"My apologies but your safety is of utmost importance Dr. Song."

"Bullshit, my life will be in jeopardy if the work is not completed." She said but he let them lock him up.

Amelia happily inserted the usb and waited. The soldiers are concerned with the beasts destroying the building which will be equal to taking their lives but the beast left a while later just as Amelia took back the USB.

She teleported away. The day has been thrilling so she sat down and meditated. She slowly culttivated and soon lost herself in the wonders of cultivation.

Zhu Li got the information but it said the design was stored somewhere safe. The design was found in a spaceship that wondered into the galaxy years ago. That is why they decided to make these armors incase the world is invated by aliens.

Even though the initial design is not in the drive. The complete designs are in the system and Zhu Li is very interested in this project. Amelia has given some other samples of minerals and some are hard metals but Amey is not a familiar with it.

Zhu Li sent a message saying she will be trying to forge the armor with one of the extremely hard ore. Old Mo asked her to find someone with fire abilities. The ore is very hard. Not even steel is this sturdy so they are momentary out of Ideas.

Amelia came out a week later. It seems even the body was craving for cultivation. Once she started, she couldn't stop. She washed and changed. Then she saw the massages and went to see the old man.

"Leader, we are really out of ideas on how to proceed." Old Mo said. Showing her the results from using usual smelting techniques.

"Call the fire king or the flame king over." They went to the boiler room where the flames are so hot Amelia wanted to retreat on instincts. Plants do not like fire.

"Three, I need you to melt that ore." Three approached and released his flame, the most targeted and hot of his flame. The ore slowly melted into a muddle of mud.

Zhu Li became very excited. "No, Three has his own duties. Find a few people without power I will give them fire and in a few weeks they will be your assistants." Amelia said knowing what Zhu Li will ask of Three.

"Leader, I can help her for four hours a day untill she has her assistants. I will rotate with Li Jie so that her work will not be affected." Three offered generously. He and the others had displeased the leader before. He hopes this can help mend the fences.

Amelia knows what he is trying to do so she smiled happily at him. She then nodded in acceptance and left the matter at that. Her own job is not finished, she needs to go and get that ore back.

She teleported to the forest and immediately used an earth spell going underneath the ground and began putting the ore inside her space in repid speed. A large hill formed in the space but she is not even close in taking all of it. What she took was a drop in the ocean.

Coming out from the ground she made sure rhe talisman is still functional and looked aroung the forest. She found the silver flowers that can be used to make healing pills. With her power of alchemy, she can turn one flower into a high level healing pill that can regrow limbs.

Bringing back the ore it is already the next day. She can feel Mei's unstable qi in the cabin. The poison is still in her system corroding her slowly. She needs to slowly clean it out or get a miracle pill. Mei has taken the pill from the space and it did reduce the poison but the ret is up to her.

Amelia delivered the ore to Zhu Li's delight and left. Amelia spend time brewing medicine for the first time in a long time she is doing her favorite thing to do. With her mood so good, she made a lot of high quality healing pills there is even tens of excellent level healing pills.

Amelia sent a small convoy to the Qin family with tribute. The food is not something the base made in the factory but the food looted a long time ago. Even so, it is not grain.

The convoy used the worm holes to get to the Qin family in less than a day on the last day in the dead line given to all the bases. The convoy is carrying three large trucks of dry food, biscuits and can food from before the apocalypse. The second truch is full of food still but the last truck has medicine.

There is all sort of medicine from stomach ache to heart disease. Pure alcohol for disinfecting, cotton wool for applying alcohol and other medications. The man on the gate is stunned by this scene. Who is so generous?

"Where are you coming from?"

"Jiangkang Hospital base." Old Mo said to the guard with a kind smile. The most peculiar thing about this group is their attire. Cream white uniforms that seems to have wanted to be soldiers uniform with the pure wite color where the green color would be on a regular camouflage uniform.

It is a beautiful color with the golden strings in patterns and golden buttons. its very clean and eye catching. The people followed behind to see who these people who come with so much food are.

The man in the castle gardens heard there is a base that sent three large trucks with tribute one of which is medication, he couldn't help but be curious. So, the old man went out side to meet the visitors.

Old man Mo is sent to a local hotel and met with a member of the Qin family. As a small base they didn't expect to meet the head of the Qin family. Seeing the smart bracelet on his wrist, the attitude of the hotel and the Qin people became more curious about the Jiangkang base.

In the afternoon he met with the old master of the Qin family. "Are you the owner of the base?"

"No, I only manage it on behalf of the base leader. She is always never around." Old Mo said in complaint but it is hard to hide the fondness in his eyes as he speak of his base leader.

Old Qin looked at him with a raised eyebrow. "How is this base leader, is she a good leader? I have heard some disturbing stories on how people are treated out there." The old man probed.

"She is okay as long as you don't antagonise her. She has a very generous spirit. But she is very stubborn and unrelenting on her decisions. It's frustrating for an old man like me who was eager to retire before all this."

The old man can not read Mo's mind no mater how he tried. The people who are in a contract with Amelia will be protected from prying eyes. The old man also tried the neatly dressed guards but still nothing.

"We as the Qin family appreciate your acceptance of our claim to the royal throne." The old man saw Mo's lips twitching as if he wants to laugh.

"Do you mock my words?" The Qin old man asked subtly axuding pressure on old Mo. He wanted to know if he could read his mind if his body is weak.

"Honestly I don't care what chair you like to seat on. I just don't want trouble. I was surprised when my leader said to sent tribute instead of going to war."

"Why were you surprised, do you doubt our Qin power?"

"We would like to go back if there's nothing else." Old Mo stood up and looked at the old man.

"You may leave. I hope to meet your leader one day." Qin laughed and sent them off.

When Mo and the others where out of the vicinity he sent one guard to follow them and see the Jiangkang base. He couldn't read this person's mind even the mere guards can be shielded from his power. There is something up with this base.

However, the three empty trucks and the rest of the convoy disappeared into a wormhole. The guard became dazed. He reported to the Qin master but got a cup thrown on his face. It's not like they don't know where Jiangkang Hospital base is located.
