Chapter 6

Since yesterday, Cho Shiye has realized that she's compared her lover to Kim Hae-yoon for quite a while now. She felt disgusted and weirded out by those thoughts as she took a deep breath.

'Ah… I must be crazy.' Cho Shiye smiled helplessly as she shook her head. She resolved herself not to trust Kim Hae-yoon as she let go of Kim Hae-yoon's hands.

"Cho Shiye?" Asked Kim Hae-yoon worriedly, she tried reaching out for Cho Shiye's hand but it was pushed away.

"I don't feel comfortable holding someone's hand in public." Cho Shiye lied as Kim Hae-yoon nodded and held the hem of Cho Shiye's cloak.

"Then I'll just hold this so that you won't be lost." Kim Hae-yoon smiled.

The two had fun riding different rides, Cho Shiye managed to have fun and fully let go of her restraints as they held each other's hands while they're heading straight to a nearby cafe.

"That rollercoaster ride was thrilling! I visited many amusement parks with my friends long before, but this is the most thrilling roller coaster of them all!" Cho Shiye chatted excitedly with a big smile on her face as Kim Hae-yoon nodded with a smile as big as hers.

"Oh, we should go visit the arcade next time. I heard there's a newly opened arcade in the capital, maybe we can go there tomorrow, it's already so late."

"Then, it's settled, we'll go there tomorrow." Kim Hae-yoon responded with a bright smile, Cho Shiye looked at her smile and felt inexplicably bothered.

Cho Shiye felt unfair, she hated this woman and yet, she couldn't deny the attraction she had with this woman. She loves Kim Yun-hee, she knew that deep in her heart and yet, it's so confusing.

Kim Hae-yoon treated her better than Kim Yun-hee and even though Kim Yun-hee and her are lovers, she never even cared nor looked at her with as much love as Kim Hae-yoon.

Cho Shiye has always been a fool, she's easily swayed by people who treated her better, that's even the reason why she loves Kim Yun-hee. Kim Yun-hee was the first one who treated her better and did not ignore her like her family.

Her friends have told her countless times not to be fooled by Kim Yun-hee, they told her how Kim Yun-hee always fools around with different women but she didn't listen to them as she's deeply in love.

No matter how much she tries to deny it, she knew deep down that Kim Yun-hee didn't love her but she couldn't fully let go of her. Everytime Kim Yun-hee would smile at her, it pierces through her heart and she's like a dog doing any of her bidding.

'That's right, I love Kim Yun-hee. I'm just being toyed with by Kim Hae-yoon. She's confusing me, she's just using me to win in some sort of competition against Kim Yun-hee. They're known for having a rivalry after all, right! How could I forget about that?'

Unaware of her thoughts, Kim Hae-yoon took the fallen leaves off Cho Shiye with a smile. Cho Shiye looked at her with disgust as Kim Hae-yoon twitched and backed away.

'I must stay vigilant. I can't let her fool me. She's just using me. I won't let her get to me any longer.'

Cho Shiye let go of Kim Hae-yoon's hands as she strode faster, Kim Hae-yoon caught up to her and followed quietly, feeling aggrieved that Cho Shiye is ignoring her.

Kim Hae-yoon sighed and smiled, 'it's still too early and we just met yesterday so it's natural for her to be wary of me. I'll do my best to become a good wife!'

After the two had eaten at the cafe, they went back to the palace. Cho Shiye left quickly before Kim Hae-yoon could talk to her and stayed inside their room reading a book.

Kim Hae-yoon didn't bother her and stayed inside her office, passing the time, as she browsed the internet using her optical brain. Everyone was talking about the imperial wedding, people are judging the empress anonymously, saying she's truly a tyrant for breaking the lovers apart.

Kim Hae-yoon frowned and as she read through every post, she turned off her optical brain and sighed. A knock on the door erupted Kim Hae-yoon as she cleared her throat.

"Come in." The door burst open and came inside a man standing up straight, his hair turning white in age, as he bowed.

"Your majesty, I came to give you the reports." The man named Park Cheol-seok spoke in a serious tone.

Kim Hae-yoon looked at him and saw that this man's face is quite handsome and manly, he looked like an old fox, cunning and charming despite his age.

I read through the folder he'd given. Normally, the secretaries would give their reports or files through the optical brain but this man would always give them to Kim Hae-yoon physically.

Looking at the reports, Kim Hae-yoon felt disgusted. A month before she came to this world, the original Kim Hae-yoon planned out a plan to drive Kim Yun-hee out and sent her to war.

Kim Hae-yoon looked at it coldly and then went to Park Cheol-seok.

"No need to proceed with this plan." The man didn't seem shocked as he bowed.

"As you wish, your majesty." He replied solemnly.

"I'm going to the arcade with my wife tomorrow. Prepare the necessary arrangements."

Park Cheol-seok bowed and answered as he soon left.

Kim Hae-yoon passed the time inside her office, reading books to better understand this world and was soon notified by the robot servant that dinner was already prepared.

Kim Hae-yoon stood up and went towards their bedchambers to look for Cho Shiye but when she entered the room, Cho Shiye was gone.

The servants told her that Cho Shiye went to the garden for a stroll and hadn't come back, so Kim Hae-yoon thanked them and went there herself.
