Transmigrated Into A Ruined Novel As An Extra

Ren is a young university student living a lonely life on earth as a normal human, of course, until one random night where he goes to sleep and miraculously wakes up to a pool of blood, but wait... this isn't his house, and this body, it doesn't belong to him. Unexpectedly, Ren finds out that this new world he is in is the same as the one from a novel he used to read, and he wasn't transmigrated as the hero who would 'save the world', get all the girls, and level up through the power of friendship and plot armor, no, he had become a character that was only mentioned in two chapters of the entire novel... It seemed like a sure loss at first, since this novel had a tragic ending all because of the main character's decisions, but Ren really didn't want to die along with the world, so he would have to make efforts to make sure the story doesn't go down the original path. "Since I'm not a weakling, I can affect the cause of the world actively and not just from the shadows... Heh, my dare MC, you might have to give your life for the cause."

Creating a Legend (2)

[You have entered a dungeon]

Ren passed through the portal, and on the other side once he had come to it, he found himself standing in the middle of a barren land that clearly resembled an old battlefield where a great war was fought. There were countless bodies and corpses visible throughout the expanse of land, with some even rotting while others looked dried up and decayed. Ren could also spot several weapons stuck to the ground all through the field, some impaled in dead bodies, while some were just on bare ground.

'If I was a necromancer, this would have been a pretty comfortable haven for me.' Ren thought briefly about how it would have been like if he had awakened as a necromancer, and there wasn't a mention of someone who awakened as a necromancer in the original story, 'maybe they are in a different nation or something? Or maybe they didn't awaken a strong one and never really made a big name for themselves.' There were different possibilities.

The system message had been floating in front of Ren for some seconds now while he ignored it.

[Dungeon of Fallen Warriors]

-Clear condition-

Kill all fallen warriors and kill the commander.

. . .

'Simple enough.'

Ren had yet to move from where he spawned within the dungeon. He knew of a very simple fact, that once he took the first step, it meant the dungeon mission would have fully commenced, and he would be attacked relentlessly. Perhaps, one good thing about this dungeon is that there were almost no places to hide, and the enemies always knew exactly where you were. Well, these were good things for Ren of course, it would probably be a bad thing for many others.

"Let's begin then."

This place was very straight forward with it's methods and rather simple. The enemies attacked in waves, and after several waves, all the enemies would have been destroyed and the raider would then see the commander and challenge him.

"Pretty straight forward, I can see them coming already." From a distance, Ren could spot several people charging towards him on foot, running with all their might it seemed. On closer inspection, he could see the colour of their skin that looked almost blueish as though they were a different race or something.

"This entire battlefield definitely has something to do with necromancy or that type of stuff, so it's no surprise that they appear like that, maybe a side effect from raising from the dead."

Ren brought out his weapon, just a simple sword, a sturdy and standard sword. Not waiting for his enemies to reach him first, Ren charged forward towards them with his own weapon in hand. Ren could feel a sense of excitement brewing within him as he charged towards his foes. This was not because he was battle hungry and the thrill of fighting excites him, no, it was because he wasn't looking at enemies charging towards him, all he saw in the wide expanse of the battlefield were experience points in their hundreds, happily running towards him, who was he not to run and embrace them also?

Instead of just hitting head on from the front, Ren already knew that his slash skill had a wide range of effect and could easily cover a 10 metre radius without him swinging all the way through. With that in mind, before Ren could collide with his enemies head on, jumped into the air, and with force in his feet, he landed on top of a warrior, crushing their bones…

"Hmp…"

Using his slash skill, Ren cut in half everything within a ten metre radius, but of course, that wasn't enough for the hundreds of enemies, and as if nothing had happened, they rushed him from all sides. Even though it looked like Ren was in a disadvantage in such a situation, with his sword in hand, he was far from it.

Swinging crazily but gracefully, every movement connected perfectly like it was a form a choreography practiced countless times to perfection. It didn't look like Ren was swinging just his sword cutting enemies down, it looked like he was an artist, the sword was his brush, and the enemies were his canvas as he performed beautiful strokes that could stop the heart of a maiden.

Well, this was no exaggeration, it really looked like that. Ren himself could feel it him his movements and strikes, and for one, it was unexpected and surprising. He never knew he could create such wonders. Perhaps, if he had spectators, the word of him performing such wonderful sword art would spread far and wide.

'Ahh, I used to wish to become some kind of celebrity at certain points of my life, and to have people I have never met salivate for me… thinking about it now, that was excess…' "With strength, all those things don't matter, those are not the focus…"

At that moment, Ren realized one thing. If he was to submerge himself completely in things concerning the main storyline too much, he would have missed having a good experience, and it would cause him to be narrow minded, so he would also create his own world where he would be able to relax and enjoy fully after the main problem had been taken care of.

Just like in Ren's memory, after the first wave of enemies were dealt with, the second wave came, and so did the third and fourth, and finally the fifth. After they had all been taken care of, Ren spotted the commander in a distance, sitting in a horse with a huge spear that looked like a halberd in his hand.

"After all that, I've become rather… tired, a little." Ren focused on the commander.

The enemies he had been killing so far were all around level 10 to 15 strength, so he was guessing that the commander would be a bit higher at the very least.

'Should be a little tough, but I don't really like fighting slowly and testing my enemy little by little until the fight gets serious.'

"I prefer to overpower my enemies right from the start and kill them quickly…"

In a single breath, Ren activated both 'lighting body' and 'god speed'. He was attacking with the mindset that his enemy would be around the strength of a level 20 in mind, so there were no chances taken at all.

With the activation of both skills, his agility had risen from 31 to 62, far beyond what even a level 20 would have.

'I'll finish this in one move…'

SWOOSH

The commander who had been looking at Ren with his eyes fixated not even blinking, was surprised was Ren suddenly disappeared out of sight.

Since they were able to pinpoint the location of their enemies at any time, it wasn't difficult to grasp where Ren would be, in general area. With rapid eye movement, trying to pinpoint the location of his foe, the commander looked up and saw that Ren had simply jumped forward towards him, and was approaching fast.

However, seeing where Ren was coming from didn't help at all, as even though he had moved to sever Ren's torso before he got close using his long reach weapon, both the spear and his head went flying as his vision tilted sideways along with the severed spear until they both hit the ground at relatively the same time.
