A Campfire

It was a huge table where all of them could sit in a circle. On that table was a rectangular table where their food will be served. Everything was arranged by Lin Fengmain who had informed the servants to make the preparations

Lin Biao was using some basic tools provided by Lin Huiying from her space. He was now used to the easy with tools, but not so easy work of making fire.

Lin Huiying suddenly acted like a reporter and asked: Meeting the man of nature, the master of fire. Since when did you love fire so much?

Lin Biao: Ah, I was born like a fire. (Moving from the smoke coming from the fire while tightly squinting the eyes.)

Lin Huiying: But why are you closing your eyes and making such an ugly face (the whole face looked crunched up because of the smoke from the fire) I don't think you're good at handling fire.

Lin Biao: No, I am good at it.

Zhou Meng, who joined the fun: When did you make the biggest fire?

Lin Biao: I once burned love.

Everyone exclaimed ah!!!! And laughed loudly.

Lin Huiying: You set fire on the hearts of women?

Lin Biao: Yes, I did. It burned up.

Lin Huiying: Can I ask when it was?

Lin Biao: While growing up. From my teens. (It was true since he was good-looking.)

The fire was ready, and the pan was set. Lin Huiying grilled the meat with her spices and ingredients from her mental space. After the first batch of grilling, Sheng Xue and Sheng Jie took over the job and followed as they were trained before.

She returned to the table and joined the group who was beginning to dig in. There was stew, steamed eggs dish, etc.

Zhou Dongyu smelled the grilled meat, "Wow! It smells so good. My mouth is already watered." Then she tasted it. She couldn't help but moan, close her eyes and roll back her head.

She continued, "This is so incredible."

"Literally man, what ingredients do you use?" Zhou Meng was no exception. They were used to the royal food which would be of the finest quality but the burst of flavor – he had never tasted it.

Of course, they would not have because this world didn't have the kind of spices and ingredients, she had access to in her modern world.

Everyone forgot about the manners and dig in while chatting with each other and laughing at the old-funny stories from their childhood.

After everyone was done with their meals, Lin Huiying suggested a campfire.

So, they formed a circle and sat on sheets spread on the ground. Except for Lin Huiying, it was the first experience for the others. Gradually, they become comfortable and felt warm in their hearts with the scene before their eyes.

Their friends and family sitting in a circle on the ground which no one would do - except for the poor in this world – Sharing their funny memories, teasing each other, and just enjoying the warmth of the fire in the breezy night of the spring. It felt like a luxury.

The five mischievous members of the group decided to sing songs out loud - Zhou Meng, Zhou Dongyu, Lin Huiying, Lin Jiang, Lin dan. Gradually Lin Biao joined them. And then later: Zhou Sheng and Lin Fengmian with a voice audible to themselves.

Initially, they were signing softly, but as time went and as they accepted their bad signing, they started to sing loudly without many reservations.

After singing six to seven songs and getting sore throats, they stopped and rested.

"I never had so much fun before in my entire life. I am so happy today that I can't express it in words. I never imagined if I would ever be able to experience such a relation. Friends. Close friends. It was just a legend for us." Zhou Dongyu's eyes had begun to turn moist at the end of the sentence.

Lin Huiying who was sitting next to her could understand what she was referring to. She too had never experienced something like this before even in her previous life. She had dearly wished for something like this, but after many years she came to terms with nothing having it in this lifetime. She accepted that she will only have her family.

So even her eyes got watery on realizing that her wish had come true in this lifetime. Similarly, no one there had ever experienced something like this. Not even the Lin siblings. They were close to each other. But they never had such a wonderful and relaxed time with each other.
