"Heart feeling light"

Today was a very surprising yet great day! Now I know that Zinnia's parents don't actually hate her at all, and that she might've misunderstood them.

I don't blame her for thinking that way; I know how it feels to be alone and think that no one is at your side. It's a feeling where everyone is busy with their own lives, and you don't want to bother them with your problems. Because of that, I became independent and kept my problems to myself.

I took this as an opportunity to value and love myself more, being negative only exhausted me and clouded my brain with heavy thoughts. But when I looked on the positive side, it became clearer to me that life sucks, but we must still go on.

Trying to forget the bad things that happened in life was the hard part, but it was all worth it when I started to care less and less about other people's opinions.

Maybe that's why I retained my sanity and did not turn out like Zinnia did.

Well, sobbing all day really took a toll on my body, so I decided to sleep early. I got comfortable in my bed and fell asleep happily.

"La la la~" sang the little girl.

Zinya was once again in her own dream.

She saw a girl picking up a four-leaf clover in a vast field. The last time she saw her, the girl was crying. But now she looked happy and cheerful.

Once again, Zinya opened her mouth to let the little girl know she was there with her, but she still could not utter a single word. She reached out her hand to get the girl's attention, but the little girl was far away from where she was.

She could only watch as the little girl started twirling around and dancing by herself. Zinya wanted to join in, but couldn't. Yet she still felt pleased knowing that the little girl was happy.

After a few minutes, the little girl finally noticed Zinya. She waved her hand and ran towards her. Once she stood in front of her, she held out her hand, showing Zinya the four-leaf clover she had found.

"Here, for you!" She said enthusiastically while smiling sweetly.

At this point, Zinya hesitated to hold the four-leaf clover because she was unable to touch anything or speak.

The little girl tilted her head, confused as to why Zinya still did not grab the four-leaf clover she wanted to give.

The little girl then abruptly touched Zinya's hand and proceeded to place the four-leaf clover on her palm. Zinya's eyes widened since she did not know the little girl could touch her.

"It's my gift for you!" The little girl said.

Not knowing why it was given to her, Zinya tilted her head, and the little girl giggled.

"You helped me quite a lot before, this is my thanks to you!" She said and curtsied.

"I wish that this gift will bring you luck." She proceeded to say.

Zinya tried to thank her, but she still couldn't speak, so she also curtsied to express her gratitude and smiled.

They both giggled.

Although the dream felt like it was only a few minutes, the sun came up, and Ade awakened Zinya from her slumber.

"Zinnia, wake up!" Shouted Ade, shaking me vigorously.

I groaned, "Ten more minutes."

"No can do! You have to make haste!" She shouted and pulled away my blanket.

"Yes, okay... Zzzzz."

"Zinnia!!" Ade angrily shouted.

I quickly sat up straight when I heard her scream like a banshee. "I'm up!"

"Geez, have you forgotten what your agenda for today is?" Pouted Ade while trying to fold the blanket she took away from me.

"Of course not! Today's the day I get to visit Grand Duke Xyriel!" I said proudly.

"Yes, and you will be meeting him this afternoon. We need to make preparations after you're done eating your breakfast."

"What's the rush, Ade? We're basically just going to visit him, I don't think I need to prepare so much for this occasion."

Ade looked at me pissed. "What are you talking about?! Grand Duke Xyriel is a respected man, and he is not like any other! We need to prepare you like how we prepare for extravagant parties!" Ade scolded me and flicked my forehead.

"Ow, that hurts!" I said and covered my forehead.

"You deserved that!" She glared.

She usually takes her time arranging the bed, but right now, she was full-on panic mode. This is the second time I've seen her like this. The first one was on Dahlia's birthday.

I sighed and grabbed her shoulder.

"Now now, Ade, I know you like things to be perfect, but I assure you, meeting the Grand Duke is like meeting a friend," I said and gave her a light massage on the shoulder to calm her down.

"No need for anything grand, let's just be casual about this, okay?" I smiled at her.

She glared at me and sighed.

"Fine, but please be respectful towards the Grand Duke. I know you're a Princess, but he is also an important asset to this country," Ade finally calmed down.

"Yes! Anyway, bring me the papers I need to work on first. I'll get ready after I'm done with work."

"Alright, Zinnia," Ade said.
