"Big confession"

It has been an hour since I've been in this world and all I can say is...

I'm exhausted.

I still don't know where in the h*ll I am but one thing is for sure, this ain't Earth.

I have been thinking for quite sometime now and I'm afraid to ask any questions to anyone.

If I blurted out that I'm not from here then they'd think I'm mentally ill, pretty sure they'd give me some sort of medicine to try and cure me or some sh*t.

I told Adelaide that I wanted tea and so we went back to my room and she poured me a cup, the tea was fragrant and delicious, it made me calm a little.

Since thinking won't do me any wonder, I decided I need someone to tell me all the info about this world, I finally decided to tell Adelaide about my situation.

Well not exactly tell her that I was isekai'd by truck-kun.

"Adelaide, I'd like to talk to you, please sit down." I said to her in a serious tone.

She gulped and nodded at my demand, she sat down across from me.

"W-what is it, Your Highness!" She said with glimmering eyes.

I leaned forward a bit and held my chin, "I'm telling you this because I trust you and I know that you would be a great help for me, I might be asking for a lot but I hope you would understand my situation." I said to her.

"Yes Princess! I will never betray you for as long as I'm alive!" She said with confidence.

"I truly appreciate that, Adelaide." I smiled at her.

"So, what is it that you wanted from me, Princess Zinnia? I will do my utmost best to provide you with anything under my power!" She said and knelt down respectfully.

"O-oy you don't have to do that, p-please sit down!" I said stuttering.

"It's all good, Your Highness! Please tell me."

"Well o-okay."

Now I'm hesitating, it feels like I'm taking advantage of her, I took a deep breath in.

"You know earlier why it seemed like I was in a daze?"

"I did notice that, are you perhaps having a bad day? Is it because of Lord Zemislav?" She said bitterly.

"What? No-"

Before I could say anything further, Adelaide looked at me in a sorrowful expression. It was like she was hurt on my behalf, she was on the verge of tearing up.

"Please forget about Lord Zemislav, Princess! I know you love him dearly but it pains me to see that he can't reciprocate your feelings!" She grieved and proceeded to wrap her arms around my shoulder.

She was sobbing and I felt a tear go down my neck, she looked at me again, her eyes were beet red and full of tears, "Please Princess *hic- I don't want to see you in pain. As your friend and as your maid, we grew up together and I know what's best for you." She sobbed.

I can feel her sincerity from the looks of her eyes, she deeply cares for the Princess and only looks for her best interest in mind.

Because of that, I could tell that I can trust her.

I smiled at her kindly and held her cheeks with both my palms, "And for that I'm very thankful, Adelaide, but my issue is different right now."

She looked at me confused, "Eh?" She questioned and wiped her tears away. "What do you mean by that your Highness? *hic-"

"It's not about that Zemis guy, it's about myself." I sighed.

Adelaide took a deep breath and sat again on the couch across mine. Her head slightly tilted not knowing what I'm trying to say.

"The reason why I'm in a daze all day long is because I don't know what's going on and what's happening around me."

"Is your vision still perhaps blurry? I reckon you had been drinking all night yesterday because as soon as I opened your room, there were a lot of empty wine bottles laying around the floor."

"Ahh, well that explains the headache when I woke up."

"Huh?"

"But no, my vision is fine, it's just that, I don't remember anything."

"You mean you don't remember what happened yesterday as to why you were drinking?"

"No, not just yesterday, but..." I paused for a minute, "I-I don't remember anything, I think I have amnesia." I said and looked down at the floor.

"You're kidding right?" Adelaide said bewildered.

"No, I'm not. I don't even remember my childhood."
