Luna's Cosmetic Company

After double checking and making sure that Ye Fan was 100% completely knocked out cold and won't get back up again anytime soon, Iris stabbed her right hand with the dagger she had previously pulled out, causing the dagger to disappear back into her skin, and then stuck her right hand out of the underpass so that the rain can wash away the filth that she had gotten when she punched Ye Fan.

However, when the raindrops fell on her hand, Iris felt a massive influx of sharp stings from her hand.

So Iris looked down at her right hand and saw that every single one of her fingers and knuckles had exposed wounds on them, which had most likely occured when she had missed her inital attack on Ye Fan and accidentally punched the wall at almost full force instead.

"Tch." Iris couldn't help but click her tongue just thinking about how weak she currently was right now.

If she had regressed with all of her strength intact, then not only wouldn't she have to worry about Ye Fan and his backers, but she could also protect Ronald with ease as well...

Or maybe perhaps it was for the best that she didn't get her cultivation back as well.

Regardless, the past is the past, and as long as she doesn't mess anything up in this life, then everything will work out perfectly fine.

With that thought in mind, Iris took a deep breath in, exhaled slowly, and then picked up the Imperial Glass Jade she had initially planned on obtaining when visiting the Jade Factory before glancing at the Bloodfire Ruby and taking that with her as well.

Then while the rain was still pouring down, Iris started heading straight towards the main street of the capital city in order to obtain the remaining materials she had planned on purchasing today.

"Now what the hell is with all of this?" Ronald couldn't help but mutter quietly to himself as he was on his phone scouring through the internet looking for informations about Luna's recent activites.

About 6 hours ago right after Iris had left the mansion to go collect the cultivation materials she needed, Ronald decided to just stay at home today and watch some TV so that if Iris had arrived back at a time earlier than what they had agreed on, then she wouldn't have any misunderstandings about him abandoning her and those stupid stuff like that.

However, when he had hopped on the couch and turned on the TV, he immediately saw an ad about Luna's cosmetic company on a broadcasting channel.

Now back at this time, Ronald didn't really think that this was anything out of the ordinary at all.

Luna's cosmetic company was a considered a mid-sized company after all, and it was normal for a company of her size to occasionally have a few TV ads every once in a while.

But since Ronald didn't want to be reminded of Luna every time he saw her company's ad on screen, he switched to a different broadcasting channel.

Then after a few minutes after he had done so and the TV ads came rolling in again, he saw one of Luna's ads again!

And it was even different from the previous Luna ad he had just watched!

So Ronald switched the channel again...

And again...

And again.

But no matter how many times he had changed to a different channel, he kept seeing Luna's ads everywhere.

Not only that, but all of the unique channels that typically didn't run ads and broadcasted live TV all for some reason mentioned and brought up a picture of Luna at least once during their shows.

Like come on, why does the TV hosts, news reporters, and even the weather person need the urge to mention about Luna at least once during their broadcast?

Was it perhaps the fact that their viewer rating and retention were so low that they needed to bring up a beautiful woman just to keep people interested?

At one point Ronald had gotten so sick of hearing and seeing Luna's face being plastered everywhere that he just simply turned off the TV and went to go play some mobile games instead.

Now of course, if that was all there was to it, then Ronald wouldn't of bothered to scour informations about Luna to begin with.

But as soon as Ronald had got onto his mobile game, he saw everyone talking and praising Luna in the chinese world chat of that game as well!

And since they had often mentioned about her using her full first and last name, he knew that they were all talking about the same Luna he was thinking of and not someone else entirely.

At that point, Ronald felt that enough is enough, and so he decided to start searching for informations regarding Luna and her company on the internet, which brings him to where he currently was right now.

'Did she seriously manage to "increase the value of her cosmetic company by tenfolds" or is this article lying to me?' Ronald thought to himself as he continued searching through the internet.

'There's another one here that says that "she's consulting with multiple export consultants and export agents to figure out the best possible way to expand her business overseas and is expected to branch out internationally within the next couple of months."'

'And then there's this article listing the top 10 prettiest girls in all of China, with Luna... of course being on the list.'

As Ronald continued looking through numerous articles, news outlets, and videos about Luna and her company, all of them painting her and her company in an extremely positive light, it became apparent to Ronald that Luna had grown her company at such an astonishing rate that the company is now considered one of the top cosmetic companies in all of China.

The only negative thing that are ever mentioned about Luna in these articles was that her fiance was a 'despicable dog-licking man who had coerced her into becoming engaged with him,' which didn't surprise Ronald one bit.

But... how?

Sure, Ronald didn't know much about business and all of that stuff, but still, it should be completely impossible for anyone to achieve that level of success in just an entire month.

Even the business queen Luna in the novel and in his previous life, who was regarded as one of the best talents the business world has ever seen couldn't even achieve such a level of success in a year!

There was a reason why Luna's company in his last life had stayed as a mid-sized company for the first three years when he had first transmigrated into this world after all!

Just as Ronald was pondering over when things had gone so wrong for him however...
