Jiang Yixin's Past

When Ronald had hopped on the backseat of the police cruiser, just as he was about to make himself comfortable, the police car door suddenly opened up.

"Since you're not in handcuffs, I have to sit here with you just to make sure you don't cause any ruckuses in the back." Noticing the startled look on Ronald's face, Jiang Yixin calmly explained while trying to maintain a straight face.

However, despite her calm appearance on the outside, she couldn't help but secretly take multiple glances at Ronald and slightly blushed.

"Whatever woman, just make sure you know your boundaries." Ronald can see the weird look on Jiang Yixin's face, and although he didn't know what kind of reaction she was showing, he wasn't surprised about it at this point.

Ronald knew that most likely all of the new heroines he'll end up encountering in the future will most likely have a slight change in attitude towards him since they're most likely transmigrators.

But even if he was positive about them being transmigrators, he wanted actual concrete evidence instead of just speculating that they were transmigrators.

Just as Ronald was thinking about a way to somehow get the heroines to confess that they were transmigrators, Jiang Yixin who was still secretly glancing at him couldn't help but feel a surge of mixed emotions like fear, happiness, regret, and guilt coming up to her all at once.

Jiang Yixin really hated herself and couldn't help but start clenching her first to the point where her knuckles turned almost completely white while thinking about everything she had done to Ronald before during her first life.

She remembered her first encounter with Ronald was when Xie Roulin first called her up and explained everything that Ronald had done and of course, her being a policeman with 'a sense of justice' at the time came over to where he was right after the phone call, and arrested him while he was relaxing at a bar and humilated him infront of the entire public.

After making her arrest and sentencing him to a two week jail time, she got curious about the person who was able to completely fend off over a few dozen gangsters without even getting a single scratch on him and started to get acquainted with him.

Then as she started to get to know Ye Fan better, she slowly learnt that Ye Fan had an grandiose background overseas and had enormous strength that could rival some of the strongest human beings that she knew at the time.

So after Ye Fan had proposed a business cooperation with her, she gave a long thought about it and considered it to be a win win situation for both her and Ye Fan and decided to cooperate with him at the time.

And for the next couple of months, her job was to help Ye Fan build up connections in China and help him solve some of the problems he was encountering while still keeping her morals, completely oblivious to what Ye Fan was doing behind the scenes.

However after about a year had passed and as life seemed to continue on normally with no setbacks whatsoever, all of a sudden something major had occured that completely changed her life forever.

While she was in a car chase on the side of the mountain trying to chase a serial killer in her previous life, her car suddenly slid off of the edge of the mountain while she was trying to make a sharp turn and completely landed in a forest in the middle of nowhere.

Even though Jiang Yixin somehow miraculously survived a 1,524 meter fall, she was completely paralyzed and couldn't move at all.

At first, she was hopeful that a search party will eventually find her within a couple of hours.

However, as the days had slowly progressed and she was getting more thirsty and starving while being out in the middle of the wilderness, she had slowly lost all hope and thought that her life was going to end just like that.

But just before she was about to close her eyes and allow death to succumb her, there was a mysterious figure wearing sunglasses and a black ski mask looking down at her face.

"What a pity, the daughter of the Yixin family is now in such a miserable state." The mysterious figure stated while looking at her as if he was looking at a zoo animal.

Although she was suppose to be excited and hopeful that she encountered someone in the middle of nowhere, the vibe he was giving off was telling her that the person who was looking down at her right now was someone villainous and a menace to society.

So Jiang Yixin made a scowl look on her face as if saying to just end her life already.

"Even though we are meant to stand opposite sides of each other, you were never meant to die here, and besides, you'll never know who I am." Perceiving the look that Jiang Yixin had on her face, the mysterious figure said in a hoarse voice and then used his feet to kick her on the neck, rendering her unconscious.

About a day later, she had regained conscious again and when she opened her eyes, she saw that she was in a hospital room with a doctor watching and monitoring her health.

"Hello Miss Yixin, how are you feeling so far?" The doctor had a concerned look on his face and wanted to make sure that she was feeling okay.

"I feel... fine? Doctor, how did you guys manage to heal me so fast?" Jiang Yixin was extremely surrpised, she knew that technology hasn't progressed this far yet to the point where it can help a human fully heal all the bones in their body within a day.

"Hmm? We didn't do anything to you. Someone had called the dispatchers and told them that they had found you casually sleeping out in the middle of the forest."

Jiang Yixin was confused and astonished after hearing what the doctor said, she knew that the villainous mysterious man who didn't seem so villainous now was the one who had actually healed her but she didn't know what methods he had used to fully heal her body.

However, that doesn't leave out the fact that the mysterious man was the one who had saved her, and she wanted to repay this gratitude.

But the main problem was that she didn't even know who had saved her to begin with.

So from then on, she continued to live out her life while leaving a spot for the mysterious figure inside of her heart.

But from time to time whenever she would go to sleep, Jiang Yixin would start dreaming about her first encounter with the mysterious figure and how he was the only light that came and grasp her out of the abyss before waking up.

And slowly overtime she would continue having that same dreaming more often until it reached to to the point where she would dream about him everyday.

About 6 years later, on the day that Ronald was announced dead, her father had told her that he had somehow managed to recover the memories in the dash camera that was originally in her police cruiser.

When Jiang Yixin first heard of the news, she was completely overjoyed since she could potentially use the video footage to examine all of his features and identity him, however what she saw while she was checking out the footage completely struck her heart.

"Well this is getting a bit agitating, this is the fifth time I have had to do something outside of the plot in order to prevent the plot from deviating." The dash camera captured the mysterious figure muttering to himself while he was taking off both his sunglasses and his ski mask.

And to her big reveal, the mysterious figure turned out to be none other than Ronald.

After realizing that Ronald was the one who had actually saved her, she had rushed over to where the Kuangge household was located, however what she saw was only the reminisce of a destroyed household where the almighty Kuangge family had once resided in.

When she first saw with her own eyes that the Kuangge family was wiped off from the face of this planet, she was in complete denial and kept trying to reassure herself that the boy that she had always dreamed about was still alive and just acting like a fool infront of the entire public as always.

But obviously, as the days had slowly passed by, Ronald never came back.

So after Jiang Yixin had finished going through the 5 stages of grief and accepted the fact that Ronald was dead, she investigated the cause of his death and learnt that Luna had caused him to commit suicide.

Afterwards, she confronted Luna with a bunch of other womens, and that was when Luna had revealed that Ye Fan was the cause of it all, and after a bunch of chasing around, they had managed to kill him, and they all went on their seperate ways.

Even though Jiang Yixin avenged Ronald's death, she still felt extremely guilty and hated herself to the extreme since she was the one who had helped Ye Fan grow his power and influence.

And although she had considered to commit suicide after seeing some of the women choosing to do the same thing, she knew that it wasn't what Ronald had wanted, so throughout the rest of her previous life, she resigned as a police officer and continued to develop the Yixin even further and managed to turn her family into one of the top 3 powerhouses in China within 20 years.

Obviously, she only wanted to find some work for her to do in order to try and keep her mind off of the guilt she had in her heart, however she couldn't handle it anymore and one day decided to drink poison and end it all.

Just as she was laying on her deathbed and staring at the ceiling while slowly losing her vision...

'So, this is the end... huh.'

[Yes, it is the end of this journey.]

'I see, I must've gone crazy talking to myself like this, I thought people say that your life flashes before your very eyes right before you die, but I guess it's different for some people.'

'Since I can talk to myself like this, can you at least tell me what happens after my death?

[A new beginning.]

'It seems like you don't know it either, well thanks anyways.'
