"I will cure your sister." Ronald stated in a somewhat calm but eerie tone.
To be honest, Ronald didn't want to do the woman a huge favor and cure the woman's older sister whatsoever especially considering the fact that the woman infront of him killed his pet dog in the previous life and has no empathy towards any other living being out there besides her older sister, but for the sake of his own personal benefit, he decided to do so.
"B-but how? Even if you have the actual cure to my sister's disease, you still have to deal with The Golden Cobra and his subordinates." The woman looked at Ronald with disbelief and fear in her eyes.
Even though she knew that Ronald was probably at least as strong as someone on the Celestial list, there was still no way he'd be able to take someone down on the Divine list at all.
Although she had never seen it for herself, she heard from some of her peers and subordinates that once a fight between two people from the Divine list had broken out a long time ago, and the fight was so devastating that it destroyed a whole mountain.
And it seemed like that was a true story, since she had visited the area where the mountain once was while she had been on a search for her older sister.
There was also no way that Ronald would've had actually came and try to negotiate with her, but would've tried to blackmailed her instead if he was indeed stronger than The Golden Cobra.
"Let me ask you a question then, despite there being a lot of competition amongst various different kinds of families, companies, and corporate entities from all over the world in the United States since it's considered the land of opportunity, why do you think that the Kuangge family is able reign as one of the strongest?" Ronald asked.
"I don't know..."
"You said it yourself, didn't you? There are just some things in this world that's just beyond your imagination." Ronald said in a mocking tone.
The reason why Ronald had heavily over exaggerated the power that the Kuangge family had in the United States was because Ronald was absolutely certain that the woman infront of him didn't know the extent of his power.
And Ronald definitely didn't want anyone to know the true extent of his power unless if he was going to kill them right afterwards.
Upon hearing what Ronald had mentioned, at first she didn't want to believe it, however, after remembering that the man infront of her right now was much stronger than she had expected, she decided to re-evaluate the family once again.
In the Celestial, Divine, and Immortal lists of assassins, it was commonly known that while the Kuangge family was one of the strongest families that resides in the United States and also has the biggest influences and branch offices throughout the entirety of Italy and South Africa, it was said that anyone in the list of Celestials could easily take down the entire family if they wanted to.
After all, rumor has it that a subordinate of someone who was on the list of celestials had once entered one of the the Kuangge's command center located in Italy and completely destroyed it inside and out whilist killing everyone working there in the process.
Of course, nobody could really authenticate that this baseless rumor was actually true, but since the number 1 on the list of Immortals had stated that the rumors were true, everyone just decided to take his word at face value and didn't question it any further.
But why did nobody bother ever questioning the authenticity of his statements?
Was it because he was the number 1?
No, it was because he was always right about everything.
Every time an 'enormous' fight had occurred in the cultivator scene of things, he would always publically state the winner of the match before the match even started, and get it right every time, even if it seemed like the odds were completely against that person's favor.
And coupled with the fact that everyone was fearful of him, nobody ever bothered questioning or confirming the statements that he would publicly announce from time to time.
But after seeing that Ronald, who was supposedly a brainless idiot in the entirety of China, have the durability of someone in the list of Celestials without anyone even knowing about it however, she knew that the Kuangge family was most definitely stronger than what they had appeared to be, and that the number 1 on the list of Immortals was wrong about his statement.
Or more likely, he lied.
However, she didn't understand why the number 1 in the list of Immortals had decided to lie to everyone that the Kuangge family was weaker than even the lowest ranked person on the Celestial list.
She knew that he definitely didn't lie about it just because he wanted to trick everyone on the 3 lists, after all, everything that the number 1 in the list of immortals did was significantly meaningful, even if it never seemed that way.
After thinking about it for awhile however, she she couldn't help but start to sweat profusely after realizing something.
'What if the Kuangge family is backed up by the number 1 on the Immortal list?'
That's right, she truly believed that the number 1 on the Immortal list was currently backing up the Kuangge family, allowing them to raise their power.
And he probably lied to everyone about the true strength of the Kuangge family just so nobody actually finds the Kuangge family as a threat and tries to assemble a team to fight them.
Everything makes so much sense now!
But anyways, now that leaves the question, why did Ronald decide to specifically come to her in order to do some stupid deal with her?
Couldn't he literally just go to anyone else on the Celestial, Divine, or Immortal list and ask them for help?
Or better yet, couldn't he just ask the number 1 on the Immortal list to do it instead?
There has got to be a different reason why he had decided to go to her instead of literally anyone else.
But what was the reason?
However, the question that she had in her head was instantly solved the moment she had taken a good look at Ronald's eriee face.
'He wants me to become his slave.'
It was pretty obvious, after all, he clearly knew that she would do anything in order for her sister to saved, otherwise he wouldn't of had offered her the 'deal' instead.
And it was an extremely good trade off no matter which way you see it.
Ronald saves Lin Minyi from her captives and cures her, and in return, he gets someone who is on the list of Celestials to do his abidings for him.
Of course, she doesn't know why Ronald didn't just flat out tell her and had to use some bullshit offer as a front instead, but she didn't care enough to ask anyways.
As long as she gets her sister back and cured, she's willing to do anything.
Just as she was about to agree to Ronald's 'deal' however...
"H-how can I even trust that you won't do anything to my sister?" The woman suddenly realized something important and asked in a timid voice.
When Ronald actually does end up saving her sister with his backers, how will she know that Ronald won't be like the same as that Cobra asshole and keep her sister captive as well without even bothering to try and cure her?
"Guess you'll just have to take my word for it." Ronald shrugged.
"..." The woman didn't respond to Ronald but continued to contemplate whether or not she should actually trust Ronald.
Seeing that the woman was clearly hesitant, Ronald slowly stood up from the couch, and made his way slowly behind the woman's chair.
"Think about it again, everything you've lost in your life, your dignity, your fate, your life, and most importantly, your older sister. You can easily regain it all back, and at what cost? Just by making sure that those people in the daoist robes never follow me around again." Ronald stood behind the woman's chair and whispered into her ears.
"What do you say?" Ronald then came to the side of the woman's chair and held out his hand.
Upon hearing everything that Ronald had mentioned, the woman snapped out of her thoughts and couldn't help but look at Ronald, who was currently smiling creepily, with extreme fear in her eyes.
Even though Ronald's words sounded human and he looked like he was just smiling politely, in her eyes, they both sounded and looked extremely sinister and nerve-wracking.
It was as if she was about to make a deal with the devil.
However, if she had to sell her soul and make a deal with the devil in order to just save her older sister, then so be it.
After all, her older sister has already sacrificed so much for her that it was her turn to be the one who makes the sacrifices.
So with that in mind, she shook Ronald's hand.
"Great. By the way, make sure that you don't kill their leader if she does end up showing up, I need her alive after all, oh and one more thing, I'd prefer if you start holding the end of your deal so that I can finish my part of the deal as soon as possible." Ronald casually stated, walked behind her chair again, and then went completely silent afterwards.
The woman waited for a few seconds to see what else Ronald would say, but after noticing that Ronald didn't say anything further, she couldn't help but turn her head around.
And to her surprise, she didn't even see Ronald anywhere at all, as if he was never even there to begin with.
