Transmigrate to be a luna

I woke up in the land of the supernaturals and I happened to be a wolf as well but I am the runt. The last thing I remember was reading for my finals and now I am in the land of the supernaturals as the weak runt of a pack. However, living as a werewolf wasn't as easy as I thought.

"Who is that? show yourself" the first voice shouted walking over to the side. Where I stood. My heart raced and my eyes bulged wide open, scared of being found out. Shit.

An attractive wavy dark blond girl stepped out from behind the shelves. Radiating nothing but anger at whoever must have been eavesdropping on them. Stacy joined her side.

"I was sure I heard someone" she muttered, eye scanning around for anything suspicious.

Right at the other end of the shelf, I held my palm to my mouth tightly as I hid quietly. The book that had fallen clenched tightly to my chest as I calmed my racing heart with a slow breath. That was close.

"It was probably nothing we should head back to work madame butch could be on my tail again," Stacy cared less and spoke dismissively in her sassy voice.

Their footsteps retreated away from where I stood and I breathed a sigh of relief. I peeked just to be sure no one was around before I came out.

"More enemies than I can count and still ongoing," I said to myself.

A shadow rose behind me and heavy breathing caressed the nape of my neck. I stiffened, turning slowly to see who had come up behind me. Thinking I had been caught by them.

It was the man at the desk. His face fumed as he grabbed my ear.

"Why are you dilly-dallying when there is so much work to do? Look at so much dust and there are lots of books to be put away." He nagged my ear full, dragging me away while I winced quietly to myself.

After a while, I crashed onto my bed after completing only two worths of punishments. My back ached and my limbs felt numb.

"I feel like I am being tortured without the agonising whiplash." I groaned into my sheets.

My thoughts travel back to the conversation those two had together. I wasn't expecting to attract this much attention to myself. However, it was part of the plan. Let's just hope he responds on time. My eyes got heavy and I slowly drifted into a sweet slumber.

'Grab my hand, est-' the voice faded into a loud ring in my ear. I couldn't hear them clearly but someone was calling out to me.

Their voices faded into the darkness. My hands reached out through the water I was sinking deep inside. I fell into slumber.

The sound of an alarm ringing in my ear jolted me from my sleep. Half awake, but full-on alert I got up from my bed swiftly.

Only to realise it was Esme's bed clock that flared continuously while she lay peacefully next to it.

"What's the use when you don't wake up?" I sighed, exhausted. After turning it off, I sat back down not feeling drowsy enough to go back to sleep.

The ray of sunlight penetrated from the window seal. It was already the next morning.

I got ready for the day after waking Esme up. We strolled to the dining room earlier so as not to miss out like before. A lot of lower-ranked wolves had gathered already in the kitchen waiting for breakfast.

Several gazes followed my every footstep. Maybe they were expecting more drama. But I ignored them. Not today.

It was a struggle amongst other people trying to get some food. We managed to get some decent food, a triumphant smile on my face as we went to a table in the far corner.

Someone nudged my tray forcefully, knocking it over to the ground. I shrieked watching the food splattered to the floor.

The once busy room stopped to a halt.

"Oh my, you dropped your food how clumsy. You should watch where you are going next time." The voice meant to sound sympathetic said to me.

The excitement I had once felt dwindled to that of anger. When I locked eyes with the person. It was the dark blond girl from the library yesterday. Did she notice it was me eavesdropping? No, she couldn't have.

"You knocked into me aren't you also clumsy" I bit back. I barely had something to eat yesterday. I was starving. So the anger was well deserved.

Her wolf sparkled in her eyes for a bit at my challenging words. The snicker on her face turned to a frown as she growled low. "You'd better watch your tone." She said, her voice getting deeper than usual.

We stood there for what felt like a long time staring menacingly into each other's eyes. No one backed down. She caught herself walking past me as she made sure to bump into my shoulder hard.

"Next time you won't be lucky" she muttered just beside my ears. I thought I heard a crack in my shoulder, indicating that it was dislocated.

Madame butch stood at the entrance of the dining hall watching us. Hence, the reason for her backing down. The floor cleared and I was left with my food on the ground. The painful urge to smash my fist into something. But I held back regardless. Esme came to my side. "We could share mine, let's get a table first" she offered. Starting at me sympathetically with her warm chestnut brown eyes.

When we sat down in the corner. "Who was raging psycho bitch" I dusted some food particles from my clothes. Still brimming with annoyance.

"How did you get into Lenora's bad side? That's the worst side you could be on." She queried, her eyes filled with worry for me. Was she that big of a deal?

I flashed her a toothy grin, with my nose perked up in the air, "Haven't you noticed, I am a magnetic for trouble?" She chuckled softly.

"But still you shouldn't mess with someone like her," she warned. Esme was by far the sweetest person I've ever met.

"You are starting to sound like Daphne" I squinted my face in fake disgust. We laughed, calming the tension between us.
