Horton Vs Green

Ace nodded back to Ryan before proceeding to enter the opened door.

The first thing Ace saw when he entered the room was the nicely arranged flowers planted in vases next to the door. Even though this was a very simple design choice, Ace felt that it was a bit of a nuisance. After all, it was kinda blocking the way and the only way to get into the room was to fully open the door to which Ryan hadn't done.

Ace merely shook his head slightly before opening the door wider. With this action, Ace was shown the rest of the room.

The room was quite big for an office though. It was 4x4 metres long, with each wall in the room painted white. Directly adjacent to the flowers Ace saw was the wall filled with 2 pictures. One depicting a heroic general on a horse with lance in his hand as he changed for victory, and the other depicting the fall of the same general stabbed in the heart with his own lance and he laid limply on the floor.

Ace definitely felt that this series of art was strange but he didn't even show it on his face choosing to glance at the opposite wall instead. To his disappointment, he only saw a cupboard filled with various books making him turn his attention to the top right corner of the room noticing a security camera watching him. From the angle he was standing though, there Is no way the security camera could have known that he had already noticed it.

"You are really cautious," a melodic voice sounded in Ace's ears making him turn to the source of the voice.

Directly opposite to Ace was Miss Eleazer watching him with a slight smile on her face as she arranged a group of papers before placing them on her desk.

"..... " Ace choose not to reply to which Miss Eleazer continued, "There is no need to think about the camera. I have let them disable it. I think it infringes on my right to privacy too."

"I don't think so," Ace said as he pointed to the lens of the camera," I think the lens would be closed if it was truly not functioning."

"Hmmmm.... I see," Miss Eleazer said with a slight smile not caring that she was exposed at all.

"What do you think about the art on the wall?"

"I think it tells quite a sad story. However, I don't think that is why you called me here," Ace replied.

"Is that the only thing?" Miss Eleazer asked not replying to Ace's question. Ace just kept quite and continued to stare down at her.

This continued for a few seconds before Miss Eleazer couldn't take it anymore and decided to speak.

"You don't seem afraid at all, " Miss Eleazer said to which Ace merely nodded.

"Who are you?" Mis Eleazer suddenly asked, her gaze turning incredibly sharp. Ace, however, continued to stare down at her silently not showing any expression.

"I am Ace... "

"Not that! You know what I am talking about.... Who are you really?" Miss Eleazer interrupted Ace as she continued to stare at him.

At this moment, the playful look on her face earlier had absolutely disappeared, replaced with a much serious one.

"From what I know, you are a mage. Moreover, you are quite strong. However, you aren't from any of those old Families. You just popped out all of a sudden, out of know where. Who are you really?" Miss Eleazer asked.

"Just like I said, I am ... " Ace was about to reply but he was interrupted yet again.

"Moreover, you scored exactly 50% in all the exams!" Miss Eleazer said.

"I think that was a mere coincidence," Ace replied with the same poker face not showing any expression on his face.

"Really?" Miss Eleazer asked to which Ace nodded.

"Okay. I guess you can go then," Miss Eleazer said.

Ace nodded and headed toward the door planning to leave but he was stopped by Miss Eleazer when he opened the door.

"You didn't deny that you are a mage!" Miss Eleazer said.

"Huh?" Ace muttered turning around, "What is that by the way?"

Ace then turned around and left closing the door just like he came to meet it, leaving Miss Eleazer with a pondering expression on her face.

A while later, Miss Eleazer suddenly smiled and muttered under her breath, "Interesting"

A few minutes after Ace left, Will quickly became bored.

Unlike most other schools, the students in Rainbow High were very prideful. They always thought they were greater and better than almost everyone mostly due to their backing and their backgrounds.

In fact, this level of pride had somewhat become a problem in the school. This was due to the fact that most students took their pride into everything they did. And yes, this even included socialization.

Socialization was a strange thing in Rainbow High as any person would think that everything was alright especially when you consider how students mingle with themselves each break.

However this was untrue, as most of the students formed groups which mostly consisted of a leader— normally a student with a very high background, and a few other students who served the leader— usually with a lower background.

So even though one would think that everything was alright on the surface, nothing was really alright.

This was what made students like Will very rare and special. Students like Will were very open and liked to actively socialize with other students and make friends. Even though this might be praised in other schools, it was deeply frowned upon in Rainbow High with most students like Will being mocked for being 'busy bodies' and having nothing to do.

Due to this, Will decided to wait for Ace even though he was bored. He was lucky to even find someone who wanted to talk to him and he planned to stick with him.

He knew the only reason why no one had worried or even mocked him because of his behaviour, was because of his high familial background.

After sitting for a while, he decided to leave for the Teacher's Flat to find Ace instead. Even if Ace wasn't done when he got there, he could still wait. After all, it was still better to do that than to stay at the Cafeteria with those egotism bastards.

After leaving the Cafeteria, Will decided to directly head towards the teacher's flat. However, he was stopped right after taking a few steps from the Cafeteria.

"Well, Well, Well.... Isn't this Will?" A voice sounded behind Will making him turn.

"What do you want, Sam?" Will asked turning to a young teenager leading a group of students over.

The student was quite handsome with long blond hair that slightly revealed his handsome friendly face. His glistening brown eyes which seemed to perfectly march the color of his hair, were currently filled with pure pride as he strides towards Will with a slight smile on his face.

Without doubt this was Sam Horton, the same boy who witnessed Ace's teleportation earlier this morning.
