Transformers: The Secret Wars

The War for Cybertron rages on. The Autobots and Decepticons fight bolt and screw for territory, energon, and most importantly, loyalty. That is where Scorcher steps in. His past shrouded in mystery, he fights for who he believes to be the best choice for Cybertron. But even loyalty may be questioned. AN: apologies for the weird format in the beginning. I plan to fix it. Newer chapters that come out shall be easier to look at.

Legate

The figure called Legate looked into Scorcher's pained eyes, the Static consuming the Cybertronian's entire world, drowning out reality. "You still have a mission to complete before being allowed into the Circle, Scorcher, so now I need you to get up." Legate said, his other hand shifting into a tool of some sort. He raised the tool to Scorcher's temple and a zap came from the item. Scorcher's world immediately reset, and he was back in reality, shocked at the sudden change of his condition. Normally the Static would fade away, but this newcomer just made it vanish. Scorcher looked up and saw that Legate was still kneeling in front of him, unlike Soundwave who seemed to be a part of the Static.

Scorcher jumped up, seeing that his three companions had their weapons raised at the one that called himself Legate. Seeing the Soundwave rip-off more clearly, Scorcher could see that he was essentially a color swap of Soundwave if he had been an Autobot: maroon plating where Soundwave's blue would be, blue visor, a less threatening shoulder weapon, cassettes in his chest portion, and that strange unfinished circle on his chest instead of the Decepticon sigil. That symbol bothered Scorcher, but he had other things do worry about. "Lower your weapons. He's an ally."

The other three hesitated, but slowly lowered their weapons, their limbs returning to being hands. The five group up, the four Autobots eyeing the strange bot with concern. As stated before, Legate looked like an Autobot, but he was not wearing their insignia, nor was the Decepticon symbol on his form anywhere. Finally, Bumble Bee spoke, stepping towards the strange Cybertronian. "Who are you?"

Legate turned his head and focused on Bee, a ominous grin spreading on his face. "I am Legate, and I am an ally. I am not, however an Autobot or a Decepticon, but a neutral party here to assist Scorcher in his mission." Legate turned in a very stiff manner, walking towards the edge of town, deeper into enemy lines. The four Autobots looked to one another, baffled by this Cybertronian's actions before following him, watching as Legate walked in a mechanical manner, as if his joints were not properly maintained. "I am no mercenary, but I can assure you that I am here to help."

"Is that so? Well forgive us if we're not that accepting of a strange Cybertronian that looks like one of our enemies who had a paint job." Barrage commented, staring at Legate with his one good eye.

Scorcher hung back as his team mates conversed with the strange being. The symbol on his chest looked ever so familiar, and he swore he had heard their voice before. It wasn't clicking with him though, and the more he thought about it, the louder his mind seemed to fill with Static. He dropped the train of thought and rejoined the party, where Bombard and Barrage were bickering with each other.

"Look, all I'm saying is that if you won't take help when its offered, we're gonna die on this rock." Bombard said, punching Barrage's shoulder.

"I'm not saying to never accept help, I'm just suggesting we should be cautious of who's offering said help." Barrage retorted, punching back, sending Bombard flying. The Cybertronian flew into a small abandoned shack, destroying the small wooden structure. Scorcher moved towards the Warden, raising his arm to prevent Barrage from doing anything else while Legate moved towards Bombard, offering a hand to the fallen bot.

"There's no need to bicker. We are here with a purpose, after all." Legate said, looking towards the other three as he lifted Bombard from the floor effortlessly. They looked to one another, nodding in agreement as they turned to Scorcher.

"Legate is right, we need to find Cliff Jumper before he gets killed, or worse, exposed. Once we get together, we can look for the shard and fight these Decepticon scouts."

Legate raised his arm, a metal panel popping off and exposing a holomap. The map expanded and revealed the world, pin pointing a specific location on the world. "That's where your final member is a city called..." The planet grew and revealed more details, showing a name for the location. "...Berlin. far in that direction. If you were hoping for any of your human friends to help, don't count on it."

Scorcher looked towards where the Deceptions had came from, groaning at the thought of a fight in one of these human's small and tight cities. He turned to the other five, shrugging. "We need to blend in. Take the shape of their vehicles, and then we'll ride on."

The other four nodded, beginning the transformation. Barrage and Bombard both turned into small jeeps that these Germans used, while Bumble Bee took the form of one of their light tanks. Both Scorcher and Legate transformed into the German's bulkier tanks, guns protruding from every opening. The five vehicles then began to move, driving along the road towards Berlin.
