Megatron was in his office, replenishing his body with the primary source of energy for every Cybertronian like him, Energon. He closed his eyes and meditated on everything that had happened in the last few days and he was surprisingly tired, he had never imagined that the administration would be more frustrating than his days in the arenas, but it was just something he had to get used to day by day, no matter how mentally draining it was.
He opened his eyes, which were a bright blue, but instead of the grandeur they reflected, they only reflected a certain bitter feeling. His friendship with Orion Pax had been strained for some time now, this was obvious due to the conflict of ideals, but he couldn't help but feel a little lonely, after all they both swore to be brothers.
His thoughts were interrupted when he noticed Soundwave enter the room with his usual calm aura. So he ignored his inner emotions and regained his concentration. "Have we made any progress?"
Soundwave simply nodded, and the screen on his face tuned to a radio transmission, broadcasting a voice familiar to Megatron. [[Master Megatron, this is Dreadwing speaking, the mission was a complete success in destroying the enemies. During the mission, we obtained something that may be of interest to you, and for the future of the Decepticons, I am sending you the coordinates.]]
"Hmmm... Dreadwing and Skyquake carried out my orders faster than expected." Megatron got up and left his office, with Soundwave following him. "Soundwave, let's see what the twins have found."
He and Soundwave walked through the building that served as their headquarters, attracting the attention of several members who had joined the Decepticons in recent days, most of whom saluted as if they had been doing so for decades, a reflection of Megatron's popularity and influence with his charisma.
Megatron and Soundwave flew through the skies of Kaon City at a considerable speed, and some of the bots who casually saw them couldn't help but nod in admiration and respect, as if they could already see the leader of Cybertron above their heads, protecting them above the clouds.
The two flew for 15 minutes without any signs of fatigue, already approaching the outskirts of Kaon City, where poverty was more evident in the lack of neon buildings, many of which showed signs of rust. What most caught their attention, however, was the great plume of black smoke on the horizon and several Autobot ships miles away, the scene of a major firefight and countless deaths.
They both landed near what appeared to be an abandoned building, the area around it looked deserted, but that didn't shake even the main Decepticon duo. They approached with calm steps until they noticed Skyquake's figure emerge from the shadows, his body armor full of scratches, dents, and blast marks.
Skyquake bowed and dropped to one knee, showing complete respect and loyalty to the leader of the Decepticons. "Master Megatron, I hope the long journey didn't trouble you too much."
Megatron noticed Skyquake's injuries, and it was obvious that it took a lot of willpower for his subordinate to remain standing. "Raise your head Skyquake, today you were instrumental in increasing the military strength of the Decepticons, the preparatory plan to cleanse the streets of crime has taken its first and significant step."
He was satisfied that he would have complete control over organized crime in the city of Kaon, to be able to control the level of violence, to create his political propaganda, and to further increase his popularity, enough to not only increase his followers in other cities, but also to increase his influence in politics, forcing the High Council to make the decision to appoint a new Prime to rule Cybertron, something he would obviously claim deserves the title . And if that doesn't work, the plan he reserved for criminals as a countermeasure against the High Guard would be put into action.
"I am honored by your compliment." Skyquake stood up, his gears and joints creaking loudly from the damage, making him grunt in pain.
"Soundwave, do we have any medics with us who could be useful in treating Skyquake's injuries?" Megatron asked, looking at Soundwave, who seemed to be in a trance, but was searching through hundreds of thousands of profiles, looking for bots that would be useful in joining the Decepticon elite, and who had the potential to follow Megatron's orders no matter what.
Soundwave knew he had to find someone who wasn't afraid to do the dirty work, someone who was willing to challenge the government while being easy to predict, someone with essential skills, and now those skills had to be medical. His face showed the image of a red bot with white detailing on the armor, looking like a playboy, called: Knock Out.
Megatron raised an eyebrow, surprised at Soundwave's choice, but if it was someone who would be useful right now, so be it. "Contact the boy, tell him to come alone with the medical equipment."
Soundwave simply nodded and quickly did so, returning to the trance for a few seconds before returning to reality as if nothing had happened, a very discreet action in every way.
"Very well, Skyquake, stay here and guard the place until the doctor arrives to treat your injuries. I will talk to your brother." Megatron ordered, entering the building with Soundwave himself following like a shadow. "Any sign of the Autobots, do not attack prematurely."
"Yes, Master." Skyquake nodded, understanding the true nature of his master's order. It was to be prepared to kill anyone who dared to get in the way, but to do so effectively, leaving no chance for counterattack or retaliation.
