Chapter 1 Crash

Benjamin found himself in a weird place. The ground is water, the sky is sinister red with crackling black lightning. Benjamin doesn't sink through the water surface which calmed Ben a bit.

He looks at his own reflection. Deep pitch-black hair, eyes a dark blue with a sheen of purple as if his eyes want to mesmerize you into your craving fantasies. A prominent jawline, a fair nose with neat eyebrows. 6'5 with broad shoulders and a lean but buff body build.

A majestic figure materializes before him. This man before him has a similar body build and hair color. Even though you needed to look real close their facial features are also a bit similar.

Only there is a stark difference between the two. The man had pitch-black horns protruding from his forehead, 9 black tails sprouting behind him, and blueish skin.

"D-dad?" Benjamin asked shocked.

A normal person would be terrified of what Benjamin is seeing right now. But with everything Benjamin has been through to get here, this is nothing.

Some time ago.

Ben just boarded a plane in Washington to London. A few weeks ago he just graduated high school. A few days ago he turned 19 years old. He chose to take a year off school, to travel the world with some of his friends. His first destination is London.

Ben is peacefully listening to music bouncing between the realm of dreams and reality, fiddling with the card his dad gave him at the entrance of the airport. His thoughts on the moment he parted with his family.

Then suddenly heavy turbulence shakes the whole plane. This abruptly awakens Ben from his half-sleep state.

*Ping

The sound of an announcement from the stewardess resounded from the speakers.

The light to fasten your seatbelts turns on."All Passengers please fasten your seatbelt and please remain calm. We are making an emergency landing." Everyone scrambles to fasten their seat belt.

Some people are already panicking. Thinking that the plane is going to crash and kill them all.

Ben just calmly looks outside the small window of the plane. He was just in time to see a wall of golden lines and symbols fading into nothingness.

'What the hell? I have seen similar symbols before in my mother's study.'

A few minutes earlier. Inside the cockpit, chaos is unfolding. Loud beeping and rough breaths are coming from the cockpit. The co- and pilot are furiously trying to stabilize the swaying plane.

"Mayday mayday we have lost contact to the mainland. We have no idea where we are. The coordinates and autopilot are busted. There is heavy turbulence even though we are flying at an appropriate height. Something unbelievable is happening! In front of us it seems like the air is denser... and more... colorful?"

"It is like we are flying inside a rainbow. All these strands of color are slowing us down. We are forced to go for a landing, but we are above the sea. There is land in front of us but is fully covered in dense forestry." The co-pilot is documenting every single detail so the BlackBox records all the information just in case.

"Holy shit!!" The pilot exclaims. "Look there on the left! A massive... tree!?"

The two pilots stared stupidly towards the massive three stretching into the sky higher than the two pilots can see.

Suddenly in the corner of the eye of the pilot, something took his attention. There floating in the air a dense green fog is seen. Even though it was evident that something was happening there, it didn't feel like it was out of place, like it was supposed to be like that.

The pilots are so mesmerized by the phenomenon that they didn't realize they flew right to it. The fog became denser, reacting to the plane. It eventually blocked their view entirely. The pilots came out of their stupor when the plane started to shake.

The direction the plane is flying is forcefully being changed. The plane also started to creak and shriek. The plane got riddled with cuts and gashes.

The pilots could barely take control of the plane on time. Their direction was adjusted towards the massive tree.

"Julie please inform the passengers to fasten their seatbelts and prepare for an emergency landing." One of the pilots informs one of the stewardesses.

"Yes sir, I'll immediately inform the passengers." The stewardess replies.

"All Passengers please fasten your seatbelt and please remain calm. We are making an emergency landing."

Ben for some reason is unaffected by the shaking and the sounds going on around him. He just keeps staring outside the small plane window. If someone is observing him closely, he would think Ben lost all hope or something.

But in reality, Ben is completely immersed in a feeling he got just as he was shaken awake. He felt a burning heat all over his body. Its source came from his heart. Like his heart was set ablaze. His heartbeat accelerated. His mind went blank. Trying to immerse himself into the feeling.

Everyone suddenly felt the plane descending faster and faster.

The pilots inside the cabin didn't know what was happening. The closer they got to the land with the massive tree the faster the plane descended. They tried their best to stabilize the plane continuously.

How closer they got to the ground below, how heavier the shaking of the plane became, it was almost as if the plane was vibrating.

And all this time Ben was immersed in the strange feeling.

"Brace for impact!"

Boom!

If the pilots hadn't closed their eyes, they would have seen something incredible.

The trees right in front of them parted away to make a path. Slowly the trees came closer to clip the wings. Every time the wings hit a tree it shaved a little bit of the wings away.

Eventually, the plane hit the ground. But you would think the ground would split and crack under the pressure of a plane burying itself into the ground. None of this happened.

It was like the ground was too sturdy to penetrate. The plane only left scratch marks on the ground. The belly of the plane shaved off the ground. When the pilots noticed something wrong they opened their eyes. Only to notice that they were practically standing still, alive and well.
