It is my first try at a novel. I know there will be a lot of plot holes here and there, but I'm trying. English is not my first language, even though I try my best to make as little as possible grammar mistakes.

10 Soul mates

"He is your soul mate." The king says to Luna in a tone that doesn't expect someone to oppose his words. "Yes." Luna says meekly while looking down. The king sighs. "Don't worry, he has three entities. He is bound to become a powerhouse. He won't die so easily." The king says trying to comfort his daughter. "No, that is not what I'm worried about. It's just that… Yes, he will become very powerful… But I don't know if I can stand beside him. What if I hold him back?"

Luna shares her worries with her father. "I'm can say with certainty that you will not hold him back, in contrary you will even let him soar. You will be his soul mate. You will be eternally bound to each other. He will be unable to leave you behind." The king says.

"But what if his race makes him able to ignore the soul?" Luna asks. "I have never heard of a race that is able to do that." The king says. "On the bright side. Now that you have found out that he is your soul mate means that he is pure." The king says jokingly. Luna glares to her father while her cheeks are warming up.

Soul mates is a funny concept. The requirements to be able to even have a soul mate is very high. You need to be pure, as in didn't have sex yet or bound your soul to somebody else. Sex has a special place in the cultivation world. It can be used to increase your cultivation base, this is called 'dual cultivation'.

But the most important part is when the male and female consummate, they exchange a piece of their soul to one another. The male has for the rest for his life a piece of the female soul inside him. Same goes for the female.

Because of this connection they are able to dual cultivate, but that is a topic for later. There are cases of one of the soul mates having multiple soul mates. This is also one of the reasons that harems are accepted in the cultivation world.

A knock is heard on the door of the office of the king. "You can come in." The king says. The door opens and the royal guard that had the task of bringing Ben walks in. A boy with pitch black hair, dark navy-blue eyes with a tint of purple, standing at 6'5, is clad in a black attire. It was of course Ben.

After he was done with Miranda, the woman who helped him change into something more royal guest worthy clothes, he couldn't help but admire her work in the mirror. Miranda was very intrigued by the fabric and design of Bens clothes when she first saw it but became obsessed when she held his clothes when she asked Ben to take of his clothes to change into something else.

She starting to ask questions about the one who made the clothes. Ben told her that he didn't know but that he was not from here and at his home everyone would walk in those kinds of clothes. Miranda had sparkling eyes when she asked if Ben ever goes back if she could come with him.

Ben replied with a shrug and a 'why not?'. Miranda then squealed and gave Ben a tight hug. She then saw his shoes. He had a pair of N*ke sneakers on. Ben then asked her if the clothes that he will receive can have the same kind of design of the current clothes he is wearing.

Miranda who was pulled out of her trance immediately nodded and starting to walk to the door where she got all the fabrics from. She came back with pitch black, navy blue and dark purple fabric. She laid all fabrics on the ground in a circle and sat in the middle cross-legged. She asked Ben to strip completely.

Ben stared at her with a blank look. Miranda who just realized what she said felt her face heat up and started explaining and pointed to another door behind Ben that he needs to change in there.

Ben in temporary clothes gave all his clothes to Miranda who laid everything on her lap. She closed her eyes. A change in the air inside the room started to occur. The fabric that laid in a circle around Miranda started floating in the air.

Then Bens' clothes also started to float and arranged them in a way that it looked like that an invisible person was wearing his clothes. The fabric started to disintegrate into thin lines. The clothes of Ben moved to the side and in its place started to form a new set of clothes. From the bottom up. It started with pitch black shoes with the exact design of the sneakers but smoother, the pants started to form.

From the ankles up a black tight design to up the calves just under the knee a navy-blue thicker band appeared. Then a black and blue baggy pants appeared up to where the belt normally goes. A dark purple band appeared that has the same purpose as a belt. A black robe with purple and blue designs formed that at the beginning looked like that of a scholar but ended into that of a hoodie. It had a hood just like a hoodie.

When the attire was done Miranda opened her eyes. Ben who was staring at Miranda kept staring until Miranda took his attention with a question. "What's the matter?" She asked. Ben started explaining that he has never seen anyone make clothes this way. He also explained how his clothes were made at his home. Miranda looked at Ben with a look of confusion. "You never seen a clothes-maker before?" Ben confirmed.

Miranda looked at Ben like he has three heads. A loud knock is heard at this time at the door. "Miss Miranda please hurry up. The boy has an appointment with his majesty. You don't want to let him wait." The voice of the royal guard is heard at the other side of the door.

"Ah! Yes, I'm sorry I just finished, he only needs to put on the clothes, then he will be ready." Miranda says to the door. "Okay, don't take too long boy." The royal guard says. Miranda takes the newly formed clothes and shoves them into the hands of Ben and pushes him into the changing room. Ben comes out and he is now exuding an air of a scholar but also that of a rebel. It is a refreshing look. Miranda observes him and nods to herself.

"Okay, you are ready. Can I keep your original clothes for research?" Miranda asks. "Yes, you can have it only if you could make me more of these attires. They are very comfy and look very good on me." Ben says shamelessly and with a big smirk on his face. Miranda happily agrees and then pushes him out the door. Ben looks at the royal guard. The royal guard looks with an indifferent face to Ben but what Ben didn't know is that the eyes of the royal guard are glistening.

Arriving at a double door with two royal guards guarding it. The royal guard nods to his colleagues and knocks on the door. Ben hears the voice of the king saying. "You can come in." The royal guard walks in and Ben follows. "Dran, you are dismissed." The king says to the royal guard. The guard bows and walks out the door. "Ben sit down and let's talk."
