Chapter 312 - Pride and love

After being dragged by the bubbly young girl, Yotsuba, Caelum silently sat down on one of their sofas while Nino prepared their meal and others were asking questions about him.

"Do you have any hobbies? Where do you live before moving? What school is studying?"

Caelum warily smiled being confronted by the short-haired outgoing girl. He did mind her action but the others weren't too keen on her action. 

"Yotsuba, stop scaring him. He can't answer if you keep getting close."

"Hehehe sorry Miku and Masa-kun."

"It's alright and thank you Miku-san."

She nodded before placing the headset at her ear and playing with her phone. Despite her cold and reserved action was kind enough to speak her words to Yotsuba. Finally, Yotsuba got out of his face and allowed him to answer her question.

"First of all, my hobbies are too many but I'm into Martial art, Manga, and anything related to improving myself."

"Too many? Can you draw or even act?"

This made Ichika interested in opting her to lean forward accentuating her developed breast in the hope to tease him but to no avail as Caelum ignored her provocative action.

He knew what she was trying to do and if he tried flirting in front of them then it wouldn't be good. Caelum could see that she is the type who likes to tease yet weak at teasing as well. 

"If you grab me a pen and paper, sure I can."

Considering him as an artist is an understatement due to the vast collection of knowledge and technique found in the Painting Scripture that he acquired not long ago. His brush stroke could easily invoke the emotion hidden deep within the painting. 

"Let me go grab one! I want to see Masa-san draw!"

Yotsuba volunteers to find pen and paper on Caelum with Ichika and Itsuka. Now she's gone the atmosphere became dull and quiet but Ichika did not let it. 

"You still haven't answered the second and third questions of Yotsuba."

"I live in a small part of the Philippines and as for where I'm studying, it is the same place you all recently transferred to."

Itsuka who had been quiet till now joined in with the conversation curious how he had guessed that they had recently transferred.

"How come you knew that we recently transferred schools?"

"Well, Nino mentions it, when she asks the same thing."

"Oh but it's possible that only Nino transferred. Are you sure we're doing the same thing?"

"Nah, from a glance your five dislikes being apart from one another. My intuition and deduction shouldn't be underestimated."

Caelum exclaimed while doing the keikaku eyeglass motion, surprising them that was able to deduce that they were not one to separate from each other. It was their promise to one another that they would always stick together.

"My my if you are able to deduce that then it's possible you're really smart?"

"In a way, don't tell me you five need a tutor?" 

"How did you fare with the entrance exam if you mind me?"

Itsuka curiously asked wanting to know if he is able to help them get a better score on their test. 

She was worried that they might end up failing again if they were unable to at least improve or try.

"Didn't do it, a guardian of mine partially owns the school and got a recommendation but if you ask anything then I'll know the answer."

"You seem confident then try balancing this."

Itsuka proceeded to give a simple balancing of chemical compounds showing how she liked science which Caelum loved when he was still at school. 

He was not the best at it but always fascinated by the deep physics that range from multiverse to string theory. 

It was this reason he had long thought about the possibility of the universe among universe stack one another.

Caelum proceeded to answer her question rather easily, surprising her even tried googling the question and everything was correct.

It bewildered as if his mind was the internet, though there were some misses but overall everything was correct 

The reason why some were incorrect was because of the difference between worlds and history. Caelum had all the history from his own earth and DxD but never the world he is in.

"Wait, how can you answer all of them!? Some of them are even higher grade?"

"I may be a martial artist but I also study to keep my mind in shape. A healthy body needs a healthy mind. The perfect balance is like the Yin and Yang. The mind is Yin and Body is Yang."

It was the simplest way to describe Yin and Yang yet in truth they are far too complex. Their branches reach far from the simple concept of black and white.

"Wow, that's quite profound. Where did you learn martial arts?"

"At an early age, I learned nearly all martial arts that I don't have master per say and it isn't as easy as you think. Martial artists do not have to be strong, only a disciplined mindset could they improve and achieve mastery of their fighting style. It is the same as studying."

"Do you like to be our Tutor? I think being taught by you would help us."

"If you don't mind then sure."

"I'm back! It was hard finding our school bag."

After a few minutes, Yotsuba returned with a notebook and pen, handing them to Caelum before waiting in anticipation at what he would draw.  

"Any suggestions on what I should draw?"

"How about drawing Miku over there?"

Ichika pointed at her sister who busily played with her phone. She was far too occupied to notice that Caelum began to draw her and from the sound of her earphones was listening to historical events of Japan. 

She appeared to have a deep love for them and decided to draw her with a portrait of a samurai army. Nino who finished preparing the meal took a break then joined them only intently watching the drawing of Miku outfit with samurai armor leading an army of soldiers. 

They were all in awe at how each line and image presented itself as if telling a story even gave an impression of movement. Each line profoundly connected itself to one another.

'Oh! It appears that I haven't lost every ability.'

Caelum felt the power to create an illustration to become reality had not completely disappeared allowing him to clearly draw the scenery.

He stopped from turning it into a reality and only gave a stroke without any added things. It took him half a minute perfectly when the meal had finished cooking and laid his pen down.

"What do you think?"

"Wow! It's like the drawing is moving!? Can you teach me how to draw like that!"

"You seem to be too perfect to have so much talent, Masa-Kun."

"I have to agree this is quite a high-class drawing and you did it in under half an hour."

"It's amazing, Mercer-San. Oh wait, the food is ready, let me get it."

"I'll help you with that, Nino."

"Me too!"

"Then I'm going to prepare the cutleries." 

The three went and helped Nino, leaving only Caelum and Miku alone on the sofa. He stood up and tapped her shoulder opting to remove the headset.

"Is there something you need?"

"Here, your sister wanted me to draw, and hearing the sound of earphones led me to make this."

Handing the painting prompted her to gasp in shock seeing herself portrayed the way she wanted. She took the painting and intently looked at every detail before realizing that she forgot that it was a secret that she liked this kind of sofa thing.

"Don't worry I won't tell you if you are worried but I must say it's quite cute to see girls like to be in this kind of thing."

"C-Cute? Don't you find it weird for a girl like to have an interest in these things?"

"Not at all cause I've seen worse. Two of my lovers are obsessed with girl's boobs and bodies, quite the perverted girl duo."

These two were Aika Kiryuu and Isami Hyoudou who were extreme perverts. Callum slightly chuckles when he spends time with them and always ends up having a restless night.

"Wait, you're two-timing!?"

"Don't get the wrong idea, the two know each other and are willing to share. In the part where I live, it was normal to have polygamy but that's why I told you it's not weird since I'm not normal myself."

"...."

She couldn't respond to his explanation and appeared to not mind her reaction. However, the way he responded and said it with pride about these two lovers of his. 

He had a choice to hide it knowing how she would react but did not as Caelum always took pride in their love.

Hiding this fact would mean that he is scum and did not take their love and affection into consideration. 

Caelum may be lustful but never aims to force himself on others and if they don't want to share then he respects their decision but won't change himself.
