Chapter 238 - Vortex

Observing her true body below the murky water of the black spring, Caelum is able to see the complex and profound inscription pattern that was an innate treat of her Soul Root. He knew that from the series that Yu Yan came from a higher realm where it remains a mystery that somehow even parallel worlds did not give information of what it is.

The author of that series seems unable to finish his stories. Regardless, he was able to understand that her root of soul was not one but a multitude that was able to produce a rebirth. Caelum buried the inscription that would be useful for him once he tried replicating it.

"Anyway forgive me this is just how I talk. Let me introduce myself. My name is Tian Zun."

Caelum gives a light smirk while introducing themselves since he always likes to avoid acting too serious. It is his nature and would not change unless the situation was truly serious. 

"It is alright, I can see you have no ill intent. It is nice to meet you, Tian Zun, I am Yu Yan, the spiritual goddess of fire. It's been thousands of years since I've been in my slumber. Would you tell me about the outside world?"

Yu Yan asked as she had been out of touch from the outside world for countless years and lacked anything beside the vague sensation she had using her law. She was unable to look far away due to her weakened state.

"This is going to be a long one, so I want to know about the history of the past and what the spiritual gods are?"

Caelum already had all the information within his Ocean of memory and knowledge along with the help of Extra Dimensional awareness, however, he wanted to gain Yu Yan trust and her affection. 

It would also serve as a way if Caelum knowledge and memory align with Yu Yan stories from the past. He would not be sure unless he'd gain confirmation. 

Yu Yan did not mind as fair trade began to tell each other the information one wanted. Caelum told about the location of Glory city and Heavenly Plateau that was part of the divine continent not including Subsidiary realms like abyss prison realm which is a small and dangerous sub-dimensional plane.

Hearing his stories made her slightly relieved and enraged from how the state of the human race had dwindled. She radiates her immense fire law in the surroundings showing her anger until calming down.

"Ah forgive me for lashing out…"

"It is fine since if I were in your position then I'd probably react the same way."

Though, he already prepared to avoid meeting that fate by helping his wives and children get stronger. 

"Then thank you for telling me everything. I am relieved to hear that the human tribe still lives even after the war."

"If I had to guess Human and Demon beast war?"

"Precisely, in the past…"

Yu Yan began to tell her stories to Caelum who intently listened to show his sincerity despite already knowing the details using his Omniscient. She began by giving information regarding Spiritual god and goddess.

These beings are individuals who mastered certain laws, mostly only one due to the difficulty of comprehending them, then able to fuse with that law becoming a spiritual god and gain eternal life as long their divine spark is not stolen.

The main world can have 36 spiritual gods and each of the 72 Subsidiary Realms can have one. Of the total 108 spiritual gods, 25% are from the human tribe, 50% are from the demon beast tribe, and the remaining 25% are others. Tens of thousands of years ago the Demon Beast Spiritual Gods attacked the Human Tribe Spiritual Gods. During the battle six of the 27 human tribe spiritual gods were destroyed while the rest were scattered.

Yu Yan explained more, recalling the rumor that the spiritual god of space and time had gone into the time stream to manipulate certain events. She was unsure whether the spiritual god had succeeded or not as the space and time law was one of the hardest to comprehend.

"In the end, the Spiritual god of Space and time remains a mystery till this day. I am sure if he had achieved his goal, however, meeting you may be one of his interference."

She gave a hopeful smile wanting to end the war between the demon beast and human as it had been going far too long. Caelum rubbed his chin giving a deep thought trying to sense the Spiritual god of Space and time using his Extra Dimensional Awareness.

'I see he is now stuck in a paradox within the river of time.'

He understood that manipulating time and space does not allow you to change the fate of the past and present without the law of Acausality or cause and effect. It would cause a backlashes called paradox which is why the Spiritual god of Space and time forever traps in the river of time unaware of the loop.

The law of Acausality is the ability to act unrestrained by conventional cause and effect, on a scale that varies depending on the character. For some characters, this means not being affected by changes to the past; for others, this means defying all logic and acting with disregard for traditional causality.

A person like professor paradox is one of these individuals who manage to not be lost in a paradox. 

"His sacrifice is truly worth praising….then I would not disappoint him. How do you cultivate the law?"

"I've mentioned before that comprehending the law is extremely difficult and would take an enormous amount of time."

"It won't hurt if we try, does it? I am confident in my ability and I'm willing to bet that I could even reconstruct your body."

"What!?"

Yu Yan felt entertained by a young man who was full of mystery before being taken aback by his next words. She did not expect him to see her body that easily.

"No need to be surprised to see anything and everything does not escape my eyes."

Yu Yan was perflex when his hair showed his eyes that were pure darkness with veins like moving endlessly. The more she looked at the eye, the more she felt nothing could be hidden. 

She understood that this young man was no ordinary individual and certain that Spiritual God of Time and Space who let them meet. 

"....if what you claim is possible then I will forever be grateful." 

"So are you willing to teach me?"

"Yes, However, I am uncertain if you are able to comprehend a single wisp of it. There is a way but it would likely cause harm to your body."

"I doubt that my body is stronger than it looks. Though, it is flattering to see a goddess worrying about me."

He smirked while hitting his body to show its robustness. Caelum had tempered every opportunity which was why it was able to take more than normal. 

Furthermore, the martial intent causes his soul comprehension to increase, letting it easily master a law. He had only reached the third layer yet how refined it is able to perform better than the same realm individual.

Yu Yan only gave a slight giggle at how the young man tried to flirt with her. She already lived over countless years and simple flattery won't sway her.

"Very well, then go to the black spring where it had been soaking in my Fire law. It would be able to nourish your body and soul."

Caelum nodded heading to the water submerging body, letting his robe of the sage to disappear, surprising Yu Yan. She became more curious about the background of the young man.

'Who is this young man that seems to radiate more wisdom than I am despite his demeanor.'

She is unaware that though Caelum likes to act carefree is able to show the wisdom he had accumulated if he wanted. Knowledge and wisdom are two different things and Caelum was able to acquire both. 

Additionally, after Caelum had trained his intent had been able to mask his aura a lot better by using [Mortal intent] where he was able to hide his enormous Soul force.

'This black spring seems to begin to temper my Physical soul.'

The pure energy within the black spring began to Increase the density of his physical soul, then circulate the energy within the black spring and started to consume every last bit of the Law energy and soul forces. He was becoming greedy the more energy was devoured by his physical soul. 

Caelum became a vortex that devoured everything yet remained bottomless like the abyss.
