Chapter 22: apostolē

I fell on my knees over a couple of golds.

But it was a luxury for someone like me to have. Few days ago, my money supply finished that mom sent me the day I came here. I sent them a letter and it came which read that I cannot depend upon them so much. And It was my turn to send them money.

Instead of glooming and sleeping all day on weekends, they suggested me to get a part time job. But, such a person like me cannot get a job, It will be like a stain to my pride, so i didn't do anything, not even cared.

After a few days, my pocket had so much holes, I had to get a job. I could do nothing but fight and make others taste violence but jobs like that in human world don't have any meaning.

I was a bit illiterate, but not to that extent, you know? I can easily tell the table of two and add 2 + 2.

Bel had no idea why he wasn't chosen, it was because he had an IQ of a 2 years old. Completely ignorant of current world, living admist humans, having only high battle IQ wouldn't let you go anywhere. Bel only could take task from the guild, a place where adventurer and others gather in order to defeat monster and earn money.

As always, bel's bad luck shone as bright as the glorious sun. He was thrown away because he was underage. He couldn't even fight back due to the presence of such high divine mana users that were at the bar section of the guild.

Bel had loosen hope and had to wait for the dungeon examination so he can smuggle some mana stones to sell em'.

Starry looks at me with a widened smile as she flexes her arms.

'So, Do you want the job? It's quite nasty.' she said without hesitation in her words.

What kind of work is it?

'I cannot tamper with Isabella's students. I have been suspecting someone is trying to keep possession of a small demonic sword.' she guessed.

Demonic sword? They exist still?

'Of course, people still use it for short term power boost but loose their mind thinking about murder due to the sword. I need you to retrieve it before someone get their hands on it.'

She disclosed such a matter so I had to follow. It was definitely not the case of the money, just for you to know.

That's it? Any idea where it is?

Starry looks up, 'I don't know but it has a nasty mana sense to those with high divine mana like yours, so don't worry.'

Starry snapped her hands and looked at me. "Sign this virtual contract, and the money is yours."

She giggles suspiciously but I need that money.

It's time for me to go.

Starry gives me her hand to shake. "Sheesh, alright." I forward my hands.

But my hand goes right through her hands.

"WHAT?"

Bel tries to grab the coin pouch, it's hologram too.

Starry laughs at bel.

"Hey, What is this?"

'I'm sorry but this is all I can speak about, It's a recorded magical hologram that adapts to the situations.' Starry slaps her thighs while wheezing.

"WHAT? YOU- YOU TRICKED ME!"

By this time, you must be saying "You tricked me!" starry replies.

Bel backs off.

'This is already recorded hours ago. You have such a simple way of thinking pattern, I can already answer you.'

Starry wipes her tears.

Bel feels embrassed but what can he do?

Starry clenches her hands together, 'I will pay you, don't worry. How was my prank?'

Bel stares at the hologram.

Suddenly, the hologram glitches.

BAM!

A hit to starry's head by her assistant.

Starry looks teary, 'WHaTT?' Assistant begs for forgiveness and drags her away.

Starry winks and says, 'Be sure to complete it.'

Bel rubs his forehead.

Demonic swords are still a thing. Those demonic cults and priest are so old fashioned. But Since, they are appearing from now on, I should be able to get some information about the appearance of demons.

Bel walks away from the alleyway. From tomorrow on, I gotta train hisa and cat harder. The demonic cults are going to make a move soon. Shit's gonna blow up, from now on.

Bel is very excited inside as well as concerned about the news. I called both of them, unlike other days, they were fired up.

Teaching Cat to master martial arts was quite a challenge. With every kick and punch, Cat's paws became more skilled. Judo taught Cat how to use opponents' weight against them, while Karate honed those sharp claws into deadly weapons.

In Taekwondo, Cat's acrobatics turned into fierce attacks. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu showed Cat how to grapple and control foes, while Kung Fu added a touch of elegance to every move. Cat's purr-fect dedication led to becoming a absolute unit of a fighter.

Hisa will help her with mana a bit. Since, I am lacking as well in utilizing divine mana. I don't use it a lot as if it overflows, it will drain all the energy.

For hisa, she needs to master her blade. Since, that is what she should manage herself, I left her be.

Afterall her innate talent of 3 times boost of every thing she has learned is a cheat code.

Cat and I had sparring for days to come to hone her skill.

Since, came the day to enter the dungeon. Gathered as a group of academy students, we stood near a tent as the sun rise. Inside, we checked our maps and gear, just like we'd been taught. Lanterns were lit to brighten the tent, and we reminded ourselves to not go too deep as there were so many different dungeons entrance.

Excitement buzzed as we got ready to explore a pretend dungeon. We held maps. Our teachers had told us how to do this again and the rules.

Hisa, yuna and cat were very excited but yuna was staring at hisa and cat weird.

Both of them were rags and smelly that have been due to the training boost up suddenly.

Now, they called us ahead to gather up. And, now it's time to choose the teams where I would be. I need to find the demonic sword as well before someone else gets it.
