Training as a Slime (37)

As Cori rolled to his sleeping quarters, the twin butlers guided him with an air of anticipation. They eagerly directed his attention to the adjoined room, revealing with a subtle excitement that a luxurious bath awaited him. Intrigued, Cori couldn't help but pondered if this otherworldly bathroom matched the familiar comforts of Earth or if it held surprises unique to this current realm.

Cori, who had once experienced the otherworldly bath, hesitantly asked, "Does your bathroom have a rollercoaster?" "The confused butlers looked at each other hesitantly and asked at the same time, "Sir, are you requesting a demonstration?" Cori reactively jiggled his tensed body with an awkward laughter, "Ha... I'm just new to this. " The twins felt a sense of pity for the orphaned slime. "Poor child, his parents passed away even before they could take good care of him. He must have had a hard time taking care of himself." they thought. "Don't worry, we can shower you the way you like it." the twin butlers replied with hopes of making it a wonderful experience for the slight golden slime. "No no, you don't have to, you just have to show me how to use it. I can manage..." Cori cried. Seeing the tears rolling down his sides, the butlers were even more determined to give him a good experience. Cori was once again embroiled in another forced experience albeit due to a misunderstanding. He was soaped, bubble bathed and massaged by the twins who felt they had done a relatively good job looking at how relaxed the slime seemed. The twins then dried the slightly golden lump of dough and tucked him into bed with satisfying smiles. It was weird but they felt they had benefited from the encounter instead- with all their stress and lethargy accumulated through the day washed away. Meanwhile, Cori was totally drained, as if all his energy got zapped right out of him. He was so dead tired that he KO'd and concussed within seconds.

"Cori! Cori!" a figure whispered in the shadows, coaxing him to stir. "Wake up! I brought some milk and cake for you." Barely an hour had passed since Cori rested. He groggily opened his eyes to find Jamie poking him with a straw. "Hmmm is it boba milk tea? Can I have boba milk tea?" Cori mumbled drowsily. Whenever Jamie stumbled upon a new cuisine, it triggered a series of sleepless nights until she successfully recreated the dish. Now, faced with two unfamiliar culinary mysteries, she was ready to embark on the journey of unraveling their secrets. Unfortunately for Cori, he could not have a moment of peace until she cracked the code of these mysteries.

Exasperated, tensed, and desperate, Jamie took matters into her own hands. She kidnapped the sleeping slime and carefully placed him on the cozy cushion under the food trolley. Drawing from past experiences, Jamie brought Cori's bag along, hopeful it might contain the elusive recipes. She nonchalantly rolled the trolley into the kitchen praying that she would not be bumping into anyone.

As Jamie entered the kitchen, two familiar faces loitered in the corner, awaiting her arrival. "Ivy! Aspery! What are you guys doing here?" she exclaimed, surprised by their unexpected presence. "Come on, we all know you can't rest until you get your hands on the recipe," Ivy said with a sly grin. "You guys are crazy! Go sleep!" Jamie retorted in a hushed tone, glancing around cautiously. "That's why we're trainers; we won't stop until we're satisfied," Aspery whispered, his voice filled with a sense of pride and determination.

Ivy lifted the skirt of the food trolley and revealed the snoozing slime, "Kidnapping a little boy for a recipe? That's pretty low don't you think?" Jamie slapped the cloth from her hands and hissed, " As if you're not here about the potion. And you Aspery on his bag. And its two recipes not one!"

Ivy dangled a potion in front of Jamie, her voice barely above a whisper, "I have a serum that would put him in a hypnotizing state, and he would spill all the secrets we want." Jamie and Aspery gasped in shock, their eyes widened at the unexpected revelation. Ivy rolled her eyes and continued, "Come on, he ate a holy shield. The serum might not even work. It's the perfect chance to test it." Jamie vehemently objected, "Now you want to drug a child? Are you crazy! I would never!"

Cori snapped awake as his instincts alerted him to the potential danger, "What is this? Where am I?" Cori peeked and found out he had been kidnapped by the instructors. "Is this part of the school curriculum? Is this normal?" he wondered, a mix of confusion and concern clouding his thoughts.

"Wait. I hear something. I think he's awake." Jamie silenced the rest. As expected, her years of experience came in handy. Pulling apart the drapes, she made up a reason and covered up the kidnapping attempt, "Hey Cori, you can come out now. We just have some concerns we need help with. Can you help us?"

Cori innocently slid out with his bag, his eyes fixated on the vial of serum, "If you want me to believe you, drink that potion." Ivy smiled and down the potion like a tequila shot knowing full well that it would not have any effect on her. The dosage was prepared for a little slime after all but Cori did not know that.
