Why did you have to die?

Last week I made new friends in the tower after arriving in this unknown world, it can be said that they were the first people i made friends with, they helped me figure out how the system works, also many things like where to buy clothes, how to book an inn for cheap and how to sell the monster loot at higher prices.

It wasn't supposed to end so tragically, our party consisted of 3 warriors, 1 mage and me the jobless bastard.

My duty was to stick with the mage and keep her safe, the only equipment i had was leather Armor and a rapier.

The name of the mage is Stella, she has blue hair and we both like each other a lot.

But something unexpected happened, while we went out to hunt for slimes a group of lizardmen ambushed us in the swamps.

One of the lizardmen threw a spear aiming towards the head of Stella, the spear pierced right inside her left eye and came out from the back of her head.

Before my brain could even process what just happened Stella is already dead, whereas the other three warriors who were at the front created a formation with their swords ready to slash anything that shows up.

I couldn't understand what to do and the warriors totally forgot about my existence, I am scared... I've never been in a situation like this before, I started running in the opposite direction from where the spear came.

Even though I tripped a few times and got bruises on my legs and shoulders I didn't stop and kept running.

My breathing got heavier as i kept running and fatigue accumulated in my body, I started sweating badly but the only thing that kept me going was the will to survive even when the girl who treated me nicely is dead.

I gave up after running for a few minutes, my knees fell down on the swamp and I bowed down with tears rolling out of both my eyes.

I no longer wish for anything as long as Stella could come back to life, I want to hear her call my name one last time, I want our eyes to meet each other, hold her hands and tell her how I badly I wanted to see her.
