As I walked around Genesis City, I saw more and more players excited for an adventure.

(What a great view! I wonder what it will look like in the future?)

Cars, mounts, costumes, etc....

(Although for now, we only wear a white shirt and linen pants).

I was currently walking to my mansion with the help of the built-in GPS that the Technological Core had.

(This thing has some pretty convenient functions, I must say).

I kept walking and following the little indicator in my field of vision until I came to a paved street.

(This is where the P2Ws start from, eh?)

That's right, unlike the rest of the city I saw, only this area had paved places. Obviously it wasn't roads as such, it was more like sidewalks for better walking.

As I walked, I could spot some pretty nice looking houses, though none looked luxurious enough to even try to compete with my mansion.

(It's normal, after all, why would people want a stupidly big house if most of the gameplay is in the tower?)

Also, I still don't know how much in-game currency, 'credits', let alone 'premium credits', is worth in real life.

(I'll check that when I get to the mansion, for now let's enjoy the scenery).

I continue to be amazed at the incredible realism of this game. After all, just looking at the sky and enjoying this beautiful sunset, I can momentarily forget that this is not real.

Even thinking that, somewhere in the vast universe, this place somehow exists....

Although I haven't visited a mansion in real life, I think very few could compare to this one.

That's right, the game is still too green for items with real money value to exist, plus technically there is not much difference between a P2W and a casual player.

That's why the partnership with Luke is of vital importance now more than ever, since those kind of people are looking to profit from this kind of games more than looking for an adventure.

(Well... who cares, technically it's not my fault). This time, every thought gave me more uncertainty, so I better decided to keep playing.

Let's take a better look at the gacha.

You must be fucking lucky to get anything useful from this banner, plus even if you get a muta-gene from this banner you'll also need a mother muta-gene of that minimum grade to work.

(Let's not forget that the adaptation process can fail...).

I guess they do this to incentivize players to develop their own muta-genes in the lab instead of spending money.

If you think about it, if this gacha had normal odds it would open up a huge power imbalance, making it impossible for those with few resources to compete.

But... one chance in a million....

(Let's better reclaim the muta-gen).

Interestingly, there was a 'premium' option, obviously an exclusive place to spend premium credits.

All the same except for two things

In the end I got to a section where a banner with the image '?' appeared, where I could use that random muta-gen ticket of rarity 'S'

"Here it is, come on, give me something good buddy!"

I hit 'pull' and then a curious cinematic appeared.

It was a tower at night, where on the second floor, its windows had a white colored light.

Then, on the second floor, the light changed to a green color.

Later blue.

Later, dark blue.

Purple.

Gold.

So on and so forth until the color became a deep red, and along with it came a curious, upbeat soundtrack.

Everything turned white and finally...
