Chapter 28 You Must Marry Me

"Got it. I'll ask," Naomi said, resisting her anger.

Taliyah glanced at her and said, "Don't mess with me. What if you forget?"

Naomi's face was completely cold as she said, "I said I would ask."

When Taliyah saw that Naomi's expression had changed, she shut up. She didn't dare urge Naomi too much. She feared that if she did so, then Naomi wouldn't do anything, and nothing would be done.

"Okay." Taliyah took a sip of tea. "There's nothing else... but you must remember this."

"Got it. I have something to do in the afternoon. Do you want to go back by car or do you want the driver to send you home?" Naomi asked.

Taliyah's face lit up with joy. A driver to send her back? How proud she would be. That would be enough to make the neighbours talk for a bit!

But before she could say yes, Naomi suddenly put on a wistful expression.
