The night of fate

25 March, 20xx

Wednesday

Time: midnight 

A figure was standing in the middle of a three-way intersection in B city. The black attire and a hood that covered the face of that person. The figure raised the head up at the starry night sky.

The hood fell backwards, revealing a girl's sweaty face. A frown was cast on her face. Her lips twitched, and a groan escaped her lips. As she breathed heavily, she placed her hand over her abdomen. Her hair tied into a ponytail, now messed up.

She heard the sound of faint fast footsteps approaching her. Her eyes turned cold as she lifted her hands to cover her sweating face with the hood. She cursed and started running again. She didn't have any idea as to where she was heading. 

Furthermore, she was loosing her strength. Her legs were giving up. She could not run any more. She needed to save herself but had no idea how?

Her eyes were loosing its vision. She had no idea, why was this happening to her. If she stopped midway, she could lose her life and she had a lot of important things to do rather than dying. Her eyes drooped, and her legs went weak.

She noticed a small pathway. Immediately, she took a turn and hid in a small pathway which was a shortcut to another street. Cold sweat covered her back. She leaned against the wall and another groan escaped her lips. 

Trying to get a hold on her situation, she tried to take a step further, but her legs betrayed her, and she fell on her knees. The pain was unbearable. She was loosing her focus. She forced her eyes open and bit her lips hard. That didn't help her, so she bit her hand on the back. 

After her vision adjusted a little, She looked around and just then did she notice a figure standing right in front of her. She looked up to meet the fierce stare of a man. The light on the street reflected on him. At one glance she knew it was a man. 

The man wore a long black coat over a suit. His hair were slightly messy. She couldn't really see his features clearly. Especially in this state, she wanted to make sure she was safe. She could feel the pressure and cold aura being emitted from the man. Her instincts kicked in, and she knew she was not safe.

She wanted to run, but her body betrayed her. 

She tried failing around and she fell again. Furthermore, she couldn't give up. But before she could try again she heard the footsteps again. Her face went pale, and she looked back at the man standing beside her, who still had his eyes fixed on her.

She was frightened. "Sir please help me. These men have been following me from a long time and I can't run any more. Please help me! I would never forget this and give you whatever you ask for. Just this once. I am helpless." She whispered because she didn't want to get caught. 

The man didn't budge. His expression was unclear to her. Another wave of pain went through her body, making her body numb all over. She grunted and covered her mouth again.

She silently closed her eyes, and she was aware she was loosing her consciousness. All of a sudden she heard a man's voice, "Ji Yun is here."

She abruptly looked in the direction of the voice, and she saw another man enter the small pathway. She knew she could do nothing now. If the man did not want to help her, she won't beg him again. She would rather help herself. 

She looked at him once before turning her gaze back to the man who just found her. Likewise, she smirked at him. "If not for my weakness I would have already torn you up in pieces."

The man standing beside her stared at her and his frown deepened. Firstly, she was all alone, at that time, and then she acted too brave. He looked down, and then he looked up at the man who was laughing at her.

The man was heading towards them, and before he could touch her, the latter spoke. "Dare you touch her." he muttered calmly and stepped upfront. 

He grabbed the man's collar. "If you don't want me to end your life here, leave." 

His deep and cold voice sent chills down the other man's spine.

The man, looked up at this tall figure. His eyes went wide when he realized his identity. The man mumbled trembling with fear. "Mr. Heyeon Jun, please let me go. I am sorry. Please!" Heyeon Jun pushed the man, making him fall on his back. He looked back at the girl and eyed her pale face. 

Ji Yun froze. She looked up in the eyes of the man. She mumbled, "Mr. Heyeon Jun?" And to her surprise the man squatted down beside her. She gulped. She tried her

best to remain calm, but before she could proceed her thoughts, her mind went blank. At last, she could only say, "Hospital." And then she closed her eyes, giving up.

He sighed. Now, he had no choice but to take her to the hospital. His furrowed brows never relaxed. He didn't know why she seemed to have piqued his interest. He dialled a numbe. "Mr. Min I need you with a car, I am sending you my location."

He put his phone back in the coat And let out a sigh. Furthermore, he waited for some time and finally his assistant was there. He lifted the girl up carefully and walked to the car.

Mr. Min, who was at a loss of words seeing a lady with his boss, hurriedly opened the back seat window. Heyeon Jun got in with her and said," lets go to the Song's hospital." Mr. Min nodded and hurriedly started driving towards the hospital.

Ji Yun was laying on the hospital bed unconscious. She was transferred to a VIP ward. Even Dr. Song, Heyeon Jun's best friend, was shocked the most because he had never seen Heyeon Jun with a girl before. But that day he was with a girl, and coincidentally with Ji Yun.

Heyeon Jun was standing by the window, lost in his thought land. The window was ajar, letting the wind caress his face lightly. Frown never left his face since he met Ji Yun. He subconsciously looked back over his shoulder as a thought about her crossed his mind. He could see the girl peacefully lying in the hospital bed.

Furthermore, he had never encountered a girl like her. Just then he heard a knock on the door. "Come in." The words escaped his lips as he turned around to see who it was. He checked the time, it was already 2 am.

"Tell me her reports, I have to leave." He sighed. 

Dr. Song sighed at his friend's abnormal and cold behavior. "Seems like she is on her monthly menstrual cycle and hasn't had a meal since the morning. Its just utter weakness. Most importantly, her blood pressure has lowered." 

"For the time being she just have to get rest and have proper meals for the next day. If she is careless towards her health, there might be chances of miscarriage in the future due to... never mind, that's not your concern. She can be discharged tomorrow morning."

As soon as Song Chui finished, he didn't miss his friend's face expression turning dark. He sighed again. "Don't worry she will be fine, well I think you should rest too. I'll be taking my leave and don't worry she will be looked after very well." He left before Heyeon Jun could say anything else.

Heyeon Jun once again turned towards the girl. "Ji Yun?" As if testing her name on his lips. His lips curved into a slight smirk, and he walked to her side. He tucked a strand of hair behind her ear.

"I will make you pay, for wasting my time. You said you will compensate me? I will definitely use this opportunity well."

[Our poor, Ji Yun. If she could hear it, she would definitely have cried. She doesn't even know what's coming next (-_-!) ]
