Chapter 5: Tenshi's Origin

The loud bang echoed through the secluded island as Tenshi unsheathes his katana with a swift motion. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, letting his body respond to the rhythm of his weapon. Jericho, who is lying on a makeshift bed, is jolted awake by the sound. Liz, who was tending to his wounds, quickly rushes to his side to calm him down.

"What was that?" Jericho asks, looking around the room.

"That was Tenshi," Liz says. "He's been practicing his martial arts every day since we arrived on the island."

Jericho watches Tenshi as he moves gracefully across the clearing, slicing the air with his katana. He couldn't help but be impressed by his friend's skill.

"He's good," Jericho says.

"He's more than good," Liz says. "Tenshi is a master of his craft. He's one of the best martial artists I've ever seen."

As they watch Tenshi, Liz begins to tell the story of how he and Jericho first met.

"Tenshi grew up in Japan, where he was trained in martial arts from a young age. He was always fascinated by weapons and their power, and he quickly became one of the top students in his dojo. But his passion for martial arts led him down a dangerous path, and he eventually found himself caught up in the criminal underworld."

"How did he end up working with us?" Jericho asks.

"You met him on one of your trips to Japan," Liz says. "You were both working for the same criminal organization, and you quickly became friends. Tenshi was drawn to your ambition and your cunning, and he saw in you a way to use his skills for something more than just violence and greed. He's been by your side ever since."

Jericho nods, remembering the day he first met Tenshi. He had been struck by the young man's dedication and skill, and he knew that he would be a valuable ally. And he was right. Tenshi has been one of his most loyal friends, always willing to stand by his side no matter what.

I wanted out, but that was easier said than done."

Liz listens intently, her eyes wide with curiosity. "What happened next?" she asks.

"I tried to leave the clan, but they wouldn't let me go," Tenshi says, his voice filled with regret. "I was marked as a traitor and had a bounty on my head. I had no choice but to go into hiding. That's when I met Jericho."

Tenshi explains how he and Jericho met in the slums of Tondo, where Tenshi was hiding from the yakuza. Jericho was just starting to make a name for himself as a Mafia boss, and he took Tenshi under his wing, giving him a new identity and a new purpose.

"Jericho saved my life, Liz," Tenshi says, his eyes glistening with emotion. "And I will do anything to repay that debt. That's why I've pledged my loyalty to him. I may have left the yakuza, but my past continues to haunt me. They will stop at nothing to find me, and I will do everything in my power to protect Jericho and his empire."

Liz nods, understanding the weight of Tenshi's words. She watches as he returns to his training, his sword slicing through the air with deadly precision. Despite the dark past that follows him, Liz can see the honor and loyalty in Tenshi's eyes, and she knows that he will stop at nothing to protect those he cares about.
