They appeared a bit away from the village on a lone rock overlooking the humble settlement.
“I made sure we did not appear like before, now that they know our faces,” Ku Jian said.
“Good thinking, we could die here,” Tie Nse said and shivered at the thought.
“Your highness?” Nti Anem asked and they all looked to Ed. Only he knew where to go, but Ed did not move. After waiting a while without a reply, they glanced at each other.
“It will be dangerous to enter the village. They know our faces. What now?” Tie Nse asked and Nti Anem waved his hand over their faces.
“They should not be able to,” he said and Ku Jian moved to touch her face with horror,” she took out a mirror with a wave of her hand and stared at the plain face that reflected back.
“Do you have something against my beauty?” she asked in anger.
“As much as you like your pretty face, you attract attention,” he frowned at her.
“At least you know you have done wrong,” she scoffed in return and grabbed Ed’s arm.
