"He was harassing most of the female employees in his diner, but since most of them desperately needs money, no one fought back," Hannah recalled with a sour expression surfacing on her face. "That dumb man went after me. Of course, I needed the money and remained mute about it until I got sick of it and fought back."
Kimberly and Vincent listened intently, watching as her expression turned bleak.
"He was stronger than me, so obviously, you know what happened." Hannah sighed deeply, ignoring the stinging pain in her body. "Anyway, that's it. I'm sorry to trouble you... And about the fee---"
"No need." Vincent cut her off before she can finish what she wants to say. "I already paid the bills. You don't need to worry about it."
Why? Hannah wants to ask, but she decided otherwise and just nodded her head after saying her sincere thanks. "Thank you."
"So Hannah," Kimberly took their attention. Hannah looked at her and saw her solemn face. "You don't have a job now?"
