"... Am I hearing this right?" Clink. Gabriella placed the teacup back on its plate. Calmly, she raised her head to stare at her son's eyes. Despite their different height level, she looks like she's looking down at him. But this didn't affect him at all, he reciprocated her eyes, cold and hard as ice. If Gabriella is looking at her like he's not her son, well, he is looking at her like she's not his mother.
This put her into uneasiness. How did he learn to do this look?
Not showing an ounce of hit of that emotion on her face, Gabriella chuckled. "You are threatening me? You?"
What Gabriella doesn't know is; now, he has something he wants to protect. If he was fine getting dragged around and treated like a slave rather than her son, this is now a different story. He has somebody by his side, somebody he needs to take care of.
